Blood thinners may make one bleed longer but usually not a problem if you stay away from large vessels. You can always sprinkle yunan bai on the bleeding site. Or even better use a shaving bleeding stooping stick.
Guest guest Report post Posted March 9, 2005 Dear Kal, I just read your post on cupping and bleeding I have a patient (51yrs) who has very extensive varicous veins on his calf of his right leg from under his knee fold down to his achilles tendon. Aside from a little apprehension I think it would be so good to releive some of the pressure...... any experience ? - anyone else too please. many thanks verena Please visit my web site www.giftofhealth.com - KAL Chinese Medicine Sunday, February 20, 2005 3:27 AM Re: cupping Hi I do cupping & bleeding in my clinic on a regular basis, and i have seen remarkable results in my patients. It is completely safe and it has no side effects, but have to worry about the people with high blood sugar reading and the one who are on blood thinning medications. It does increase the qi level in the meridians from there the blood circulation will increase many symptoms will dissapear, mostly i focus on (T8 - thorasic vertebra) between BL-17 & BL-18. I use more than one incision / needle puncturing with several blood letting points. (i.e. two rounds of cupping) Khaled - " Cfli " <changfeng2 <Chinese Medicine > Sunday, February 20, 2005 11:10 AM Re: cupping > > Don`t worry the bleeding. Guest guest Report post Posted September 11, 2005 From the website: http://www.chinajnbook.com/cupping/intro.htm What is Cupping Therapy? Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of causing local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place. Cupping therapy has been further developed as a means to open the 'Meridians' of the body. Meridians are the conduits in the body through which energy flows to every part of the body and through every organ and tissue. There are five meridians on the back that, when opened, allow invigorating energy to travel the whole length of the body. It has been found that cupping is probably the best way of opening those meridians. Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins. Cupping is the best deep tissue massage available. Cupping, the technique, is very useful and very safe and can be easily learned and incorporated into your family health practices. From Lauren- It can also be used to clear dampness from the body as well- usually over spleen meridian points.
Guest guest Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Cupping theory is similar to Native American style. Native Americans would use a wrap or thong in a specific area sometimes accompianied by a stick or stone to bring energy for healing to a specific area. Sometimes lightly scraping or tapping with a stick or stone would a method for similar effect. Guest guest Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Cupping is also something that can be done at home. You can buy those plastic cups with a pump so no fire is involved. This also gives you a relative amount of control if you are a novice. Eric acupuncture , Hoang Ho <twomtns2002> wrote: > Cupping theory is similar to Native American style.
