Okay, some thoughts. First ones BP does not go up without there being some reason. Change in diet, environment, job, stress levels, divorce, any number of things. There is always a cause yet for it to stay up suggests to me that your diet is playing an important factor. This is only my opinion. What exactly does your diet consist of? Do you eat meat? Do you consume pre-processed foods? Do you eat junk foods (MacDonalds, Taco Bell), I ask this as you mentioned you are doing quite a bit of driving. Do you consume a lot of fatty foods? Pastas? Do you use nutritional supplements? What is your life style like? Sedentary or active? Do you exercise regularly (long walks, hiking, stretching, jogging, etc.).

As for Echinacea, it is like anything else and should be used in moderation. I can find nothing that indicates it is harmful. Use it for 2-3 weeks and take a week off. Then back on again. Yes, good Echinacea will make your tongue numb and is nothing to worry about. This just means you have some good Echinacea tincture or herb. I have not heard of Echinecea being used for HBP. Yes, Dandelion tea can temporarally reduce ones BP but will not keep it down as your body will balance itself to the addition of the diruetic.

Overall I would say that the cause of your HBP needs to be ferreted out and handled. Diet is usually a large cause for this. But not always as there are so many other factors that can figure into this dis-ease. Personally, I would consider doing Doc's total body cleanse that is in the files. This might do more good than anything else and certainly can't hurt.

Re: [herbal remedies]

Hi All,Been lurking for a while now, was hoping someone might raise questions abouthypertension since it is such a common ailment. Since there was no threadon this thus far, I thought I'd write for some of your thoughts:I had been on hbp medication for many years now (I am 43), towards the endof last year my bp had gone up for no apparent reason. My GP gave me moredrug which only seem to make my bp worse so I went to a Chinese herbalistwho prescribed both herbs for decoction as well as pills. (I hadacupuncture as well which seemed to work better but the costs as well as theneedles put me off.) Things are not better but at least my bp is sort ofstable (170/100) most of the time. I am thinking about stopping this asthis doesn'tseem to be cost effective. What's the alternatives? Now, a few weeks back (about 4 days before I joined this list). For noparticularreasons, I went and got some dandelion tea and echinacea tincture, and tookbothof these three times a day. At the end of the third day, my bp went down to130/90. However, I haven't been able to reproduce the same result since andmybp went back up to my 'normal' 170/100. Now, I wonder if anyone could offerany explanation about this phenomenon?I know dandelion tea is diuretic so was this causing the temporary result?or was it the magnesium in it? Do I need to take this long term? Someone (anutritionist who I chanced to meet) commented that I should take a high doseof calcium with it but I forgot what he said how much. I did take the brandMagnesium OK a couple of years back but don't remember any drastic effect onmy bp then. I'm back to taking this again in the past couple of days. Noeffect asyet. Any ideas??Don't know how echinacea works in terms of hbp. I know I am not suppose tobetaking this long term. As a matter of fact, two weeks after I startedtaking this, my tongue was feeling numb which gave me quite a scare eventhough atthe time I didn't know what was causing it. Later on, if I remember right, someone wrote that this may be normal, is this correct? How long can Icontinue to take echinacea without causing any harm?I need help now because very soon I will have to start long distance drivingagain. In fact, I'd be away from Thursday and back early next week, and itinvolves driving for 200 miles each way. Although in the future, this willonly once every two weeks and involving half the distance, I'd feel safer ifsomehow I can manage to get my bp back down to 130/90 at least.Sorry this is getting a bit long. Any suggestions would be gratefullyreceived.Warmly,AnnaFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Given the widely varying reactions people have to blood pressure medication,

i'm beginning to believe that hbp is not a single ailment. It has been

described as a " disease with no symptoms " , which should put us on guard

anyway.

Yes, numb tongue is normal with echinacea. And yes, it is good to minimize

its use for emergencies only.

Dietary measures work well, but they are highly individualized. You can try

eating more food with Cumin, which was the basis for one blood pressure

medication. Also many people have done well with eliminating dairy when they

have this problem. However, the low-salt diet doesn't seem to help a whole

lot, and causes other complications.

Long drives are best handled with the right music, in my experience. I used

to drive all over the USA and even Canada for several years, and that was

really the key since it's difficult to find decent food on the road.

Hi Anna,

Something that I have experience with as working very well for blood

pressure regulation (either high or low, but I've only used it for high) is

to eat one raw clove of garlic every morning. I don't know why this works,

but it does! Good luck,

Well I don't know about garlic injections. I was unable to find the incurables in your files and found it on a web site of Schulze groupies, so to speak. It listed his incurables program. Here is the excerpt:

Hydrotherapy Program:High Enemas: You must use a high enema 2 times a week with an implantafterwards. Use only distilled water for the high enema The implant can be:8 ounces of Aloe Vera gel and 8 ounces of distilled water (soothing) or 2ounces wheatgrass juice with 16 ounces of water (Detoxifying ) or 1 - 2cloves of garlic blended into 8 ounces of raw apple cider vinegar and 8ounces of distilled water (Antibacterial, Antiviral and Antifungal).

Apple cider vinegar up the toosh sounds just a little painful. Your thoughts on this please?

Hey Doc,

The incurables remedy lists an implant under hydrotherapy. Is this some sort of enema or what? I would appreciate your shedding some light onto this subject for me. Thanks

Hi. I have a question. I am a 24 year old female who

has suffered from badder infection's and an overactive

bladder for 1 year. I am constantly getting an

infection and within 6 weeks I have another. I have

tried limiting caffine, cranberry, a supplement

called Ultimate Urinary Cleanse (Goldenrod, Asparagus

Root, Birch Leaf, Cranberry, Orthosiphon aristatus,

Uva Ursi, Cornsilk, Alfalfa, Cayenne, Bioperine, Black

Pepper) and Lactobacillus. They don't seem to get rid

of the problem. I have taken so Many antibiotics in

the last year it scares me. If anybody can offer

advice on something new (and any suggestions on where

I can get the stuff) I live near Madison WI and visit

the suburbs of Chicago frequently. Thanks DEB

I would start with a bladder cleanse to begin. Sounds like it needs a good cleansing.

I don't know of the condition. I would consider the test points for the envelope

of the heart and also heart1 and triple burner points for diagnosis.Perhaps

points on the lower leg for tonification. Bleeding and moxa at the right time

might help but I don't know exactly where to treat that. Just a guess, I hope it

helps.

Hi Judi,

Thank You for e-mail. I`m not too rich because I live in Serbia. In my town

live many people from China but there is only one chinesse doctor, and he don`t

cure everyone. I don`t know why he works in secrecy. But he is very expensive

for me. Can You tell me which herbs can I use for my problems? Can You tell me

can acupressure help me, because I know acupuncture points and meridians, but

don`t know to work with needles. Or can Kiatsu Ryoho help me if I am persisting?

I learn Ki-Aikido.

Alex,

Depanse you have infection or not the treatment will be different. Also when

you have infection, we will see you discharge's color, different color will

give you different treatment.

If you live in Chinatown, maybe you can go Chinese grocery store to buy a

formula the name is HUO DAN WAN. I hope that can help you when you have

infection. That maybe just cost 2-3 dollars for one bottle.

Good Luck

You need to find out what the underlying imbalace is to truly

correct it, but from a symptomatic standpoint for the sinusitis you

could start by working

Local Points:

Bladder 1 and 2

Large Intestine 19, 20

Stomach 2 and 3

Distal Points:

Lung 7 ,Large Intestine 4

Working the points a few times a day I believe can be just as

effective as acupunture. But perhaphs this is a personal view.

Try working the Lung and Large Intestine meridians dispersing and

tonifying as you come across excess or difficient areas on the

meridian.

In my town live many people from China but there is only one

chinesse doctor, and he don`t cure everyone. I don`t know why he

works in secrecy. But he is very expensive for me. Can You tell me

which herbs can I use for my problems? Can You tell me can

acupressure help me, because I know acupuncture points and

meridians, but don`t know to work with needles. Or can Kiatsu Ryoho

help me if I am persisting? I learn Ki-Aikido.
