Om Sai Ram Respected Sir, You are right in 8'th lord in 10'th ...In my Dasamsa D10 my 8'th lord (Saturn) is in 10'th (deblitated in Mesh). Jyotish gives me lot of satisfaction....any particular reason ?? ALso I am undergoing Saturn Mahadasha and my Mercury antardasa is next which is also in 10'th house of D10....what are the effects of it being with a weak saturn ?? I think a weak saturn actually is good ?? am I right ?? Any remedies for a better career...when will I get my promotion. Namaste friends,

I have one query regarding ashtama shani. Saturn has been transiting

my 8th house (both from lagna and from moon) for the past two and odd

years, yet i have not faced any difficulty whatsoever...healthwise,

wealthwise or happinesswise!! Except for a mild bout of jaundice for

my younger son, I have not experienced any difficulty, by god's

grace. On the contrary, infact, this period has been one of the

healthiest/happiest/most prosperous periods in my life, despite the

fact that i quit my job in may 2004!!

I have observed from some of my friends' charts that ashtama shani

has indeed been tough for them, so I am really puzzled and curious

(also very thankful)as to how god has spared me.

I request my friends to help me unravel this puzzle. This would also

help me to understand what factors can counteract ashtama shani,

though I agree that analysis of one's own chart may not be the best

way to do that!!

My birth data is

September 1, 1960

Time: 3:24:22 pm

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Place: Hyderabad, AP (78 E 30', 17 N 20')

If some one else has similar experience of a beneficial ashtama shani

period(!!), i request them to share their birth data, so that it

would help me in bettering my understanding.

Lakshmi bahen,

Your query is a one which can baffle everybody. thank god that you

only asked ONE query.

Whenever there is an issue of Dhanu Lagna having moon in it, four

natives comes to my mind instantly. they are Dhirubhai, Lakshmi

bahen, & my two ex-bosses (same comany-one is Technical director &

the other is MD).

Dhirubhai has gone-by so only to talk about other three.

Before going in to that part, following thought crossed my mind when

i read your post

1) I've heared that " Graha's power to do damage is ineffective for a

native who is Holy, righteously living, truthful,descharging duties

with God's name "

2) Saturn is the Graha which is mainly credited for bestowing the

results of past Karma ruthlessly and it is generally highly

unpleaseant especially when Transit is 8th or Sadesati.

IT SEEMS in your case, there are No Bad past Karmas are left. you

might have balance of only Good Past Karmas hence Shani dev had no

choice but to bestow pleasent results. so if you don't saw new seeds

of Karma then probably you'll be free from both the sides of the

coin right in this birth..great.. is it not called liberation? :0)

3) I always Maintain that Dhanu Lagna, Moon in Lagna & Guru well

placed lays a very strong foundation. I have a reason to belive

that. Dhanu is any byfar the strongest sign, Moon in Dhanu Lagna

brings the strength of the rashi to mind as well and with such

combination, if Lagnesh Guru is also strong then it is great. such

natives can withstand any storm in Life.

You have Gajakesari Yoga in Lagna and all the above conditions are

satisfied in your chart. Look at Dhirubhai's chart, Lagnesh is

Strong in 10th. He was an strength incarnation because even Sun was

in Dhanu Lagna.

if it llok at the charts of my ex-bosses (same company), they also

have Dhanu Lagna & Moon in Lagna. Both have Guru in strength. Now

both are running Mahadasha of exalted Mars hence they have great

rise in fortune and it seems that they didn't feel any adverse

effects of Ashtam Shani in any area of life except there was a great

crisies on professional front during last april wherein they would

have suffered the loss of reputation. but luckily they survived the

crisis (the person who bailed them out has Guru in Dhanu in his

chart)

Birth details of one fo them is 1.3.1962, 3.00am , Mumbai

So the above facts makes it clear that the other 2 persons were

running very favourable Dasha periods.

i know of 2 more natives (male) who are having Dhanu Rashi but

different Lagna. they have had great setbacks in finance & careers.

one of the native's details are 5.6.1966, 22.59.33, Mumbai 72e50,

19n15. (who suffered financial losses & came under heavy debt).

Dasha running Rahu/Saturn

One of my cousin sisters has Dhanu Rashi, she has no apperent career

but takes tutions of almost 20 children. she didn't face any

noticable crisis in anyways. though i had given her the remedial

measures. The dasha running is of 5th lord moon very well placed in

10th. data ->9.8.1973 22.27.15, India 73e0, 23n50

In your case you said that you left the Job before and that may have

nullified any scope of troubles from that side.

In your case, Dasha is of Rahu placed in 9th. it is placed with

Dharma-karmadhipati yoga form by Sun & Mercury where sun is in great

strength & mercury is saved from KDPD. The whole combination is

aspected by Guru in strength who is him self involved in Gajakesari

yoga. should rahu give the results of despositers & conjuct planets,

he has to heplplessly bestow good results. Sub perios of Venus

should prove good because he is debiliated as 6th lord.

I don't know if Dasha also proved beneficial & nullified any

advesrities from Transit ashtama saturn.

Finally just rearrange my message and try to judge. for me following

things are apparent from the above examples.

1) Ahtama Shani has affected mainly career.

2) people have had no or very little malefic effects who are running

Favourable dasha period. even ashtama shani could not hamper their

progress even if it was ashtama w.r.t Lagna & Moon.

3) In case of Dhanu lagna as well as moon, all the three natives

have very strong Jupiter & Sun.

It is all mixedup )

Namaste Sanjay Bhai,

Traditional Astrologers / Panchanga Makers in Gujarati mainly

consider Murti for Saturn and that too during Sadesati, Ardhashtama

& Ashtama shani.

The difference lies in results of various Murtis.

They say that For Staturn's transit, Rupa (Silver) murthy proves

excellent for native, Tamra(Copper) also proves good in terms of

Fiance.

Swarna (Gold) proved bad which gives lot of mental worries and

finally Loha (iron) proves very bad with all kind of physical,

mental & financial troubles.

I also share their opinion.

There is some confusion. In Rajasthan (traditional astrologers / Panchang

makers) as well - swarna murthy and loha murthy is not considered good; Silver

is considered best and copper being good.

Thanks for your extremely affectionate and erudite analysis. You are

a very nice & sweet person, so you find everyone nice 'n' sweet. I

have a lot of shortcomings, especially short temper, so liberation

seems only a very distant dream at present:--))

Thanks for the birth data given by you. I have data for three more

cases, two with Dhanur lagna and the other with moon in dhanus.

comparing these charts, based on this limited data, it looks to me as

though,

1) the operating dasa seems very important as you correctly pointed

out. It looks as though in case of natives who suffered from ashtama

shani, the dasa running was, coincidentally, that of a planet

connected to the 8th house, either by lordship, situation or aspect.

In case of natives who have the dasa of a planet connected to 9/5th

(protective)houses seem to have been spared the tough action.

2) In case of dhanur lagna, the adverse impact is more on

health/career, while in case of dhanu rashi, the negative impact

seems to be more on mind/reputation.

3) the past two years should have been really tough for us, as my

husband had sadesathi( both from lagna/moon) and my elder son had

sadesathi, while i went through ashtama shani and my younger son had

ardhastama...all running together. But, by grace of god, we have

sailed through this period very happily. Perhaps, as Sanjayji had

said, Lord Venkateshwara had held us close to His heart, and thus we

were protected.

I hope others will also pitch in and correct these assumptions /

observations.

Namaste Prabhakara,

Thanks for your very valid input regarding transit interpretation.

But I have a doubt. Won't the murti be the same (swarna murti) for

all dhanu rashi people, during this transit? In that case, all Dhanu

rashi people must be spared the malefic effects of ashtama shani,

which may not be true.

Or am I missing something? Kindly enlighten.

Dear Supriti,

The situation will be difficult. The Remedy for Saturn transit in 2nd from natal moon is worship of Krishna. (Ref:VRA) Recite a 2 akshari krishna mantra, Just reciting "Krishna" is also good. The General rule is for moon in chara rashi recite 2 akshar, dual 3 and sthira rashi 4 akshari mantra.

Dear Lakshmiji,

Yes, That will be the case for all Dhanur rashi persons. Transits indicate influence of changes in environment on individual. So the environment will remain more or less same for all the Dhanur rashi person. The Natal dasa, chart and individual's karma will indicate specifics for each person. As per Dr. B.V Raman Transits influence on individuals is only about one third. (i.e the environment). Something in lines of what Sanjayji teaches about free-will having about one third effect (upachaya houses).

Thanks for your learned explanation and bracing words. As you said,

Mother's grace can indeed ward off all evils, as do blessings from

good people like you.

I do agree that a strong Jupiter in lagna gives me a lot of immunity.

I was also wondering if Saturn's association with the 8th house/lord

in the natal chart has something to do with this, because Partha had

also not experienced any malefic results of ashtama shani and he has

Saturn in 8th house (cancer) in his natal chart. Ofcourse he also had

Rahu dasa running and Rahu aspects 9th house, as does his dispositor,

Venus.

This is just a thought...

Sorry to jumping into the thread. In my observation, I found that natives with

natal saturn in 3/6/11 from natal moon - has very little sufferings from saturn

(natal as well transit). Members can share their experience on this specific

possibility.

Dear Smt Lakshmi, namaste

As you know, I am Vrischika lagna & Dhanus rasi. Astama Sani from lagna and Moon has been running for me since 5+ years and will probably end soon (don't forget retrograde motion! Late Sri Purushothaman used to say that this retrograde motion is equivalent to the powerful flick of the crocodile's tail!). During this time, Mars dasa was running. Mars aspects the 9th house. The antardasas of Rahu (end-portion), Jupiter and Saturn (beginning portion) were problematic for me and all three grahas aspect the 9th house.

Even as Sani is preparing to exit Kataka rasi, I currently have a week-long spell of some unexplained skin allergy which I never faced before!

So what do you say?

Dear Hari, Namaste !

you astutely pointed out saturn's retrograde motion back to Cancer,

i think from 10th jan to 16th July 2007. yes 6 months more, powerful

flick of the crocodile's tail.

Dasha of Exalted Mars which is also 6th lord with Malefics like

saturn & rahu in 3rd, is a surely malefic dasha and hence didn't

help during saturn's transits. though it is connected to 9th

actually, it spoils it with the aspects.

Namaste Sri LakshmiIt indeed a pleasure to read your chart. Blessed charts are few to come by :)Apart from some excellent comments by Sri Ramadas Raoji and Sri Utpal, which are fully applicable in your chart. Here are some reasons from my side -

1. Transit Saturn aspects the 2nd house which is its own so no harm.2. Saturn aspects the 5th house which was protected by the transiting Jupiter in Libra. Ofcourse natal Jupiter protects your entire self. 3. Saturn aspects the 10th house which probably made you stop working.

Sri Utpal is right. Saturn brings poor results only if poor karmas are done. The period when it balances the equation is through Kantaka Shani, Ashtam Shani, etc. Arrogance, egoistic tendencies, non adherence to duty, etc..is tackled during this time. With grace of Lord Shiva in your chart, your sensitivity and possible service towards other human beings and adherence to service, has mitigated all wrong effects of Saturn. If some one else has similar experience of a beneficial ashtama shani

period(!!), i request them to share their birth data, so that it

would help me in bettering my understanding.

Saturn in 8th house (cancer) in his natal chart. Ofcourse he also had

Rahu dasa running and Rahu aspects 9th house, as does his dispositor,

Venus.

This is just a thought...

Dear Hari,

Namaste.

Did you also have a skin problem? I have had no allergy, but two dark

patches appeared on my upper chest region during the past one year.

Ofcourse, no pain/itching was experienced, so i had no problem

whatsoever, but they were there...for a long period. Mysteriously

they disappeared in the past 10 days without a trace and without any

medical intervention.

I think you've had some tension in career when Saturn was transiting

your 8th house from Moon. In your chart exalted Mars aspects 9th

house by rasi drishti, so ultimately you did get a very good job in

India. There was a shift in job (for the better), which was there in

Partha's case too. But your chart Mars also aspects your 8th house,

perhaps indicating a certain frustration/delay in achieving your

desires. I am sure you'll get them this year:--))

Thanks for sharing these details, because my theory right now is very

much under testing!!

As Swee has very beautifully indicated, nirantara sadhana certainly

helps in making the mind transcend the problems. Look, she's having

Sadesathi, but not even a whisper about it from the wonderful lady!!

Namaste Bharat ji,

Thanks for your analysis of my chart. My Guru has alawys been aiding

me, even before my birth. My parents lost three male children before

me. When my mother approached Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba with this

problem, he had given a " raksha " to my mother, saying that the next

issue would be a girl, who would live long. When i was one and a half

years old, he performed my aksharabhyasam (Venus-Jup-Moon), and

blessed me with Panchakshari mantra. I am sure that till today it's

that " raksha " given by Baba that always protects me.

Infact, the past year has been very gratifying from the spiritual

perspective. Lord Shiva indeed seems to be blessing me...I had been

to Gokarnam (Atma linga kshetram) and to Tiruvannamalai.

At Tiruvannamalai, i was amazed to see the third eye radiating from

shiva linga. The lingam was also not rounded, but more like a

rectangle (deergha chaturasram), and with the third eye so

emphatically visible (Jupiter!!)...it was a marvellous sight, but can

be missed if one does not perform rudraabhishekam.

Yes, natal Saturn's aspect on 10th house could have made me leave the

job, among other things. Saturn influences lagna/chandra lagna/paka

lagna/arudha lagna/moon/lagna lord/4th lord from lagna/chandra

lagna/arudha lagna, so my parivraja yoga is almost complete...save

for the association and aspect of great benefics Jupiter and Venus.

Mars (AK)also influences chandra lagna, so that also adds to the

inner parivraja yoga. So, it's no wonder I am happiest after quitting

my job:--))

My chart may have potential, but it's still unrealised as of now:--))

So, I am more in need of blessings / good wishes / guidance from all

of you, so that perhaps I can realise /utilise that potential for the

benefit of all.
