Horoscope of Lord Rama/Vachaspati

Dear Marg,

 

you are absolutely right. We being astrologers and with our knowledge

of Modern sanskrit, were honestly , sincerely and painstakingly

looking at the word vacha/vak etc in 100 possible ways. Personally, I

was not at all convinced how vak(speech) and Jupiter ( remember I

said he was a poor alternative) were connected. Yet, I was forced to

accept Jupiter as Vakpati since Mercury can not be placed with moon no

matter what.

 

Yet, Valmiki was justified in denoting Jupiter as Vakpati since he

meant vedas by saying vak and Jupiter certainly denotes prajapati or

Brahma or Lord over Vedas. He represents the knowledge of Vedas.

 

Thus, with one simple explanation, it is very obvious that Valmiki

was right and with all our limited knowledge, we were all wrong till

we have seen the simple yet effective explanation.

 

i am sure this is what is going to happen for everything else-

finally, we may have to agree that good old valmiki is better than all

of us modern brains put together.

Dear Kishore,

 

I didn't doubt Jupiter was with the Moon, it was the reference to ruler of Vak

which caused further query for me.

All languages have nuances of meaning, some of which may be lost down the ages.

I'm still not concluding it is the final and only interpretation to say VAK

refers to Jupiter as ruler of speech, so I will keep an open mind.
