There is a very wise person -- J. Dheendsa jee. He is into Lal-Qitab and has a

scanned version on Lulu.com if I recall correctly. You may wish to contact him

-- possibly on Lal Kitab forum. He can tell you more about the versions etc. Not

sure which version he had.

What i meant by rahu and ketu of other planets is that all other planets also

cut this eliptical plane as we perceive from earth. Hence the question is

definitely within the perview of geocentricity as you mentioned.

Dear Krishna ji,

IÂ am not sureÂ about the direction of this discussion. Some of these had been

well presented before here by vinay jha also.

Yet, this may or may not be usefull to this discussion.

The present kalpa which the brahma is believed to have re-created the universe

and the yuga division is as follows

Sathyayuga 4800 celestial years or 17,28,000 human years

Treta yuga is 3600 celestial years or 12,96,000 human years

Dwapara yuga is 2400 celestial years or 8,64,000 human years

Kali yuga is 1200 clestial years or 4,32,000 human years.

What is to noted is the years of Sandhya & Sanhyamsa that happens in between

these yugas which is said to be 100 celestial years

" sandhyamshayorantareNa yah kaalaH shatasaMkhyayoH "

This means kali yuga had 100 celestial years of 36000 human years as Sandhya .

So 1200 -200 is the actual span of Kaliyuga which brings to another factor.

Length of Human life which is given as 100 years (not 120 years).

This brings us to another question on Vimshottari dasa - 120 years. In fact the

Rasi chakra is 120 X 3 = 360 years. These has many allogories like the three

worlds : bhu- bhav-svar lokasÂ and so on (these are well crafted intoÂ

" time " ).Â However the mute point is the span of human life of 100 years and the

10 + 10 could relate to the Sandhya & Shandyamsa of the yugas.

...Well cited as Shri Santosh Ji wanted to know what is the length of the yuga.

The Yuga as defined in Surya Siddhnata and in Sreemad Bhagvadgita are the

same?Some where we also consider 5 years as yuga and 12 such yugas make 60

years.So we have each year names after as Prbhava,VibhavaÂ and thus have 60

names.Sripati also had come out with some of his own calculations of yugas.

I think this thread is basically is to assess,the capabilty of Man to make a

unvers of his own with his wisdom?

IÂ am not sureÂ about the direction of this discussion. Some of these had been

well presented before here by vinay jha also.

Yet, this may or may not be usefull to this discussion.

The present kalpa which the brahma is believed to have re-created the universe

and the yuga division is as follows

Sathyayuga 4800 celestial years or 17,28,000 human years

Treta yuga is 3600 celestial years or 12,96,000 human years

Dwapara yuga is 2400 celestial years or 8,64,000 human years

Kali yuga is 1200 clestial years or 4,32,000 human years.

What is to noted is the years of Sandhya & Sanhyamsa that happens in between

these yugas which is said to be 100 celestial years

" sandhyamshayoranta reNa yah kaalaH shatasaMkhyayoH "

This means kali yuga had 100 celestial years of 36000 human years as Sandhya .

So 1200 -200 is the actual span of Kaliyuga which brings to another factor.

Krishna ji, that is great. the created wants to become creator. is it something

like " aham brahmasmi " which could itself be an illusion created by the maya. No

wonder the planets are retrograde now.Â or is it reality ?

The universe which is egg shaped and constituted of 8 principles and 16 tatwas

is 5 million yojanas wide and is covered by 7 sheaths each of which is ten times

larger than the oneÂ it is surrounding. ThatÂ which is the causeÂ of what looks

like a " Paramanu " (atom?) with all its sheaths and which consists of thousands of

other universe is called brahma andÂ is the reality of the supreme spirit

(paramathma) Lord Vishnu.

Note: one can see that ancients had knowledge of other universes and equates

this unverse to a " paramanu " atom?.Â If thisÂ universe is only a atom what is

the complete form? comprende?

" naahaMÂ na yuuyaM gatim vidurna vaamadevah kimutaapare suraah

tanmaayayaa mohitabudvayastividam vinirmitam chaatmasamam vichakshmae "

Neither myself (brahma) nor you (sons of bramaha - narada etc) nor even vamadeva

(lord shiva) knows his true nature. Then how could the other gods know it?. our

mind is so confounded that we fail to comprehend the reality of this universe,

but merely speculate about it according to our own understanding

doesn't the last line tell it all?Â

The Yuga as defined in Surya Siddhnata and in Sreemad Bhagvadgita are the

same?Some where we also consider 5 years as yuga and 12 such yugas make 60

years.So we have each year names after as Prbhava,VibhavaÂ and thus have 60

names.Sripati also had come out with some of his own calculations of yugas.

I think this thread is basically is to assess,the capabilty of Man to make a

unvers of his own with his wisdom?

IÂ am not sureÂ about the direction of this discussion. Some of these had been

well presented before here by vinay jha also.

Yet, this may or may not be usefull to this discussion.

The present kalpa which the brahma is believed to have re-created the universe

and the yuga division is as follows

Sathyayuga 4800 celestial years or 17,28,000 human years

Treta yuga is 3600 celestial years or 12,96,000 human years

Dwapara yuga is 2400 celestial years or 8,64,000 human years

Kali yuga is 1200 clestial years or 4,32,000 human years.

What is to noted is the years of Sandhya & Sanhyamsa that happens in between

these yugas which is said to be 100 celestial years

" sandhyamshayoranta reNa yah kaalaH shatasaMkhyayoH "

This means kali yuga had 100 celestial years of 36000 human years as Sandhya .

So 1200 -200 is the actual span of Kaliyuga which brings to another factor.

Length of Human life which is given as 100 years (not 120 years).

" samvasarashataM nriNaam paramaayurniruupita m " .

here is the days of yearsÂ is taken as 360 (not 365.25) due to other standards

of measurement of time.

The whole span of yugas is based on this number of 360 (spokes as stated in

vedas).

The above is from Sremad bhagavatha.

This brings us to another question on Vimshottari dasa - 120 years. In fact the

Rasi chakra is 120 X 3 = 360 years. These has many allogories like the three

worlds : bhu- bhav-svar lokasÂ and so on (these are well crafted intoÂ

" time " ).Â However the mute point is the span of human life of 100 years and the

10 + 10 could relate to the Sandhya & Shandyamsa of the yugas.

a cold star, or that of the Universe, after being in existence for

IÂ am not sureÂ about the direction of this discussion. Some of these had been

well presented before here by vinay jha also.

Yet, this may or may not be usefull to this discussion.

The present kalpa which the brahma is believed to have re-created the universe

and the yuga division is as follows

Sathyayuga 4800 celestial years or 17,28,000 human years

Treta yuga is 3600 celestial years or 12,96,000 human years

Dwapara yuga is 2400 celestial years or 8,64,000 human years

Kali yuga is 1200 clestial years or 4,32,000 human years.

What is to noted is the years of Sandhya & Sanhyamsa that happens in between

these yugas which is said to be 100 celestial years

" sandhyamshayoranta reNa yah kaalaH shatasaMkhyayoH "

This means kali yuga had 100 celestial years of 36000 human years as Sandhya .

So 1200 -200 is the actual span of Kaliyuga which brings to another factor.

Length of Human life which is given as 100 years (not 120 years).

" samvasarashataM nriNaam paramaayurniruupita m " .

here is the days of yearsÂ is taken as 360 (not 365.25) due to other standards

of measurement of time.

The whole span of yugas is based on this number of 360 (spokes as stated in

vedas).

The above is from Sremad bhagavatha.

This brings us to another question on Vimshottari dasa - 120 years. In fact the

Rasi chakra is 120 X 3 = 360 years. These has many allogories like the three

worlds : bhu- bhav-svar lokasÂ and so on (these are well crafted intoÂ

" time " ).Â However the mute point is the span of human life of 100 years and the

10 + 10 could relate to the Sandhya & Shandyamsa of the yugas.

We haveÂ collected andÂ all the 5Â editions in original and put it on net for

We have transliterated / transcripted 1941 edition from urdu to hindi with

utmost care that even page number, line number, word number remains same as in

There is a very wise person -- J.. Dheendsa jee. He is into Lal-Qitab and has a

scanned version on Lulu.com if I recall correctly. You may wish to contact him

-- possibly on Lal Kitab forum. He can tell you more about the versions etc. Not

sure which version he had.
