Haven't ya noticed that your childish flames have absolutely no effect here?

Probably not -- I would imagine you're dreaming they hurt, or sumthin'.

They have zero effect, because the truth is known -- that " self " and " other " are

the same movement. They co-arise.

What one sees 'in the other' is one's own thoughts, as that is all that's

available.

And so everything Bob thinks about Tim is a dream.

No one is in contact with any 'other'.

OK, here is what I have to say about this. Actually yes, the words I see on

the screen or hear through

my ears are all " here " and nowhere else. True. But.... there is a chain, a

string that units those words that

make those words convey a certain meaning. That string, that meaning that

those words carry are NOT

issuing in this particular brain but in another body/mind that is not

" geo's " . It is that meaning that makes

me understand that there are other body/minds behind the words I read. So..

not ALL that one sees

in words are one's own thoughts.

P.S. it's actually irrelevant where the words " issue from " .

Reading is purely a matter of interpretation by the reader.

These words could as well have " issued from " a computer program -- and if one

didn't know, one would interpret it as coming from another person.

BTW, if you disagree that reading is purely a matter of interpretation, penso

che siate errato. È evidente qui che le parole sono puramente un aspetto

dell'interpretazione. Se non fossero, quindi stavate capendo facilmente che cosa

sto dicendo qui -- ma sono un aspetto dell'interpretazione.

I does not matter if it is another person or a computer, jsut that it is not

from this brain here.

If I read the following words: " I am absolutely sure that 2+2=354 " , the

source of such idea is not geo's brain.

Or if I read: " I am absolutely sure that I live inside my body " . I can tell

that the string that united those words are coming

from a source that is not this brain here. Just as when I see " people "

walking in the streets I know there are other body/minds

that are not this one here.

That isn't relevant to the fact that it is registering in " this brain here " ,

being interpreted by " this brain here " and the response is arising in " this

brain here " (awareness, to be more accurate).

Self/other co-arise *here*, not in two places.

No.

I'm saying that self/other co-arise *here*.

" Here " being wherever words happen to arise in awareness.

Like I said before, one ought to find out what " no other " really signifies,

rather than assuming some absolute meaning like " there are no other body/minds " .

yes.

although i think i'm all here and timmy is all there..

i am wrong in thinking this.

after reading timmy's ideas.

i KNOW he's not all there at all.

and what he says has no meaning absolutely.

could it be the booze he needs and abuses?

like i said before..

one really doesn't give a crap.

he's just fun to have around.

(here or there).

he's a nutty little whippersnapper and i enjoy him..

almost as much as i pity him.

LOL!

So, there is a string of meaning that units words that issue in another

body/mind. All perceivable evidences of such other - I agree - are here.
