I hope (yeah I know, there is no I etc, but words must come out) that

if I ever I realise my own nature (yeah I know, there is no

realisation)...I hope that I will have the goodness to keep quiet

about it.

AT least they could all teach, and the reason they could teach is

because they had love. And compassion. Christ didn't teach the same

ideas anyway.

From what I have read and understood, realised spiritual teachers

should keep quiet until their realisation is mature. I think a

period of 10 years has been suggested. Has anyone here waited that

long?

well now here I disagree with you jason....unlike the previous post

where I stood right with you, that probably wont be

posted......perhaps this won't either....again, if not I'll private

email you. But actually they all had only ONE and the SAME

idea......and the weird thing is.....it wasn't an idea, it was

TRUTH.......and that my brother can get you banned or even killed in

the places that you would expect to be the least likely places for

that to happen........ but you'll find that those who think they

know.....know nothing at all, except what they believe they know.

That is somewhat worded wrong......if they knew 'Nothing " , they

really would know something......so how to say? They have beliefs in

their false ideas, and have no grasp or feeling tone for TRUTH

whatsoever.......that's better but still not quite right......but I'm

sure you and all my readers get the gist.

I wonder how many silent realized people there are in the world who

just sit in silence keeping to themselves.

The Buddha, upon awakening mulled over the possibility of keeping it

to himself because it would be difficult to explain to others.

There are some who are realized and would not be good teachers, while

there are some who are both and are called sadgurus.

I write in the conventional language so if anyone wants to, they can

assume all individuals spoken of are dream characters.

In the word 'realisation' the s has a z sound. So why don't you

foreigners spell it with a z as do we Americans who messed up what is

a beautiful language?

I look forward to hearing what you have to say. I'm not quite sure

how to take some of you here. For example when you yourself say " no¨-

one here is realized " I can start wondering where you are coming

from with that statement! I'm quite well read on all this stuff, and

I'm aware that " self-realised " people say the there is no

enlightenment, and yet, some say that the idea of enlightenment is

very important. Also, when one reads descriptions of " self-realised "

people, it becomes apparent that some fundamental change, or

realisation, as occurred. For one thing, consciousness appears to be

able to operate on different levels. Then there are verbal

descriptions where such as " the lamps have been repositioned " (who

said that? Aquinas?) or some speak of a vast infinite eternal space.

I also have had a few strange experiences on waking, that have

indicated to me there is something other than this everyday

consciousness. Can it be refered to as ultimate knowledge?

OK! They knew who /what they were. But I remembered a Zen story

about someone who was enlightened but without love. His coldness led

a woman to kill him. Do you hear that one?

Yes it can.

But all references refer back to the illusoy self.

I'm afraid that thought is not going to be able to help you out of

this mess you are in.

Like Buddha did when he said, " above the earth and under the sky, I

alone am the one awake? "

Or like Jesus when he said, " I am the way, the truth, the life? "

Or like Niz did?

Oh, by the way, are you sure there is such a thing as realizing your

own nature?

Maybe you are hoping about something that is just a mental construct

that has no more truth to it than an imagining.

Perhaps you always already *are* your nature. Are you sure there is

something you are supposed to realize about it, that is going to add

something to it?

How long did you wait, before you started making pronouncements about

this list?

Did you follow your suggestion and wait ten years until your

realization of what this list is about, was mature?

There isn't a realization of something, there is only disinvesting in

self-constructed illusion and deception.

You can't get this from someone else.

Not from someone else's words, example, or way of doing things.

Because that image of someone else, is part of the illusion.

No way around it.

Even if the illusion says someting beautiful, like " I am the way, the

truth, the life. "

Disinvest in whatever promise you think that image holds for you.

So it has been said: " If you meet the Buddha at MacDonald's, order

him a burger and fries! "

Indeed...no thought can help anyone out of the 'illusoy'

self.....anymore than they can be helped out of the illu soy sauce

self by taking thought...it's just one of those things as toom points

out here so well. give NO thought to the morrow or the illusoy

self.....and BOOM your done and OK.

Thanks. I wasn't really in mess before I came here...

Of course there is suffering, but you know, Niz's suggestion to

meditate on the sense I am has helped me a lot. There was no need

for me to come here. I had a few questions about Prana etc, and they

were kind of answered (thanks). But by and large, since I came here,

I've got more and more entangled in trying to disentangle myself

from what everyone is saying. A lot of contradictory stuff and

there's always this " last word " thing, or " last concept " that's

supposed to be " truer " .

If anything, all this confusion and nonsense has messed up my mind,

but only the sense the junk mail clutters my letterbox. I don't read

junk mail.

Sorry ... no intention here to offend-
