A.Ravi sekhar
Sharabha Avatharam is one of the feorocius Avathars existed and which you can still see in some of the temples of shiva like shreesailam and like olden temples of tamilnadu and like that. Narashimha Avathar of God vishnu was destroyed HiranyaKasipu a Demon king, and after that was unable to come back to his normal form,Then he started destorying the universe with his rage .Tostop him,God Lord Shiva had come with a ferocius rage and shape human+bird+Leo ,(2 heads lion and bird and 8 legs and human body) and then even Narashimha also feared and understand that he is god shiva and then stopped his rage by makingspray to god shiva, if any people wants to know much better you can know through browse in google. RamanaDasi
This story was invented by sectarian Shaivas and written in Tamasic Puranas. It is a false story invented by materialistic men. You should understand how Prahlad was touched gently and affectionately by Naarasingh avatar and how the Lord was perfectly peaceful when he was with his bhakta Prahlada. Some stories in Puranas were written very recently. Even within the past 200 years.
ranjeetmore
There is a common prayer taken from the general knowledge of the brahmanas that is included in the general aarti books of hinduism. Nrsimha aarti: Kailasi Shankar dachke manasi. Dachke in marathi means he shivered/flinched in FEAR. So when Sri Bhagavan came down as Sri Nrsimha,NO ONE had the courage to even stand in front Of Him. Even Sri Laxmi was a bit afraid.Brahma and Shankar were standing afar. They pushed Prahlad.Prahlad maharaj was more than happy to go in front of Him. There is absolutely NO mention of Sharabha Avatara in any of the main puranas. Whereas Lord Nrsimha is accepted as the One who bestows His mercy on Brahma,Vishnu.Mahesvara in the SKANDA UPANISHAD. Read (Upanishad)Sruti > Smriti (Puranas)....Except Bhagvatam of course.
