Surya + Rahu in lagna points towards malefic influences upon father but I dont really think its pitru dosha unless in chalit sun+rahu move in 12th?? where is mercury placed? Kindly throw some more light upon remedial measures for pitru dosha - as your remedies are most enlightening, especially in keeping with the south indian system. Some people consider this dosha only when related to 6,8,12 house or when Rahu/Ketu are malefic for the chart. Also, there are others who include both luminaries for consideration of pitru dosha.
