haribol,

thanks for all your replies dear vaisnavs. I am going on vacation to vrindavan, allahabad, ayodhhya, chitrakut, mayapur and of course to meet my relatives in India. Somehow I found few vaisnavs who agreed to keep my archa vigraha on my vacation period.

There was a time when Srila Prabhupada himself put away his deities in a box for a period of time.

In this world, it's not always poosible to maintain high standards of daily worship.

The question here was practical & didn't require an avalanche of proselytizing.

Sometimes it happens that we can't always maintain a prefect standard.

Except for some perfected souls here, of course.

But he didn't do that so he could take a vacation.

If Srila Prabhupada actually did that it was for the purpose of preaching and was therefore justified.

You can't just pack up your deities every time you want to go on vacation.

If that is the case, then one should just keep a picture of Pancha-tattva on the altar and hold off on installing deities.

Fair comment. Sensitivities need to be worked upon. Heartfelt apoligies, it was a simple and practical question.

Couldn't help but being a little sarcastic huh?

The only persons I see that pretent to be perfect are the anonymous guests whose fine reputation would be sullied if they exposed that they played on the forums.
