Dear Astrology Gurus,

After seeing repeated failures in all I do I consulted one

astrologer. He said that I am under the Rahu Mahadasha that's why I

am facing so many hurdles and difficulties. Also that my Saturn is in

a bad house. My dob is: April 19, 1970 Time of Birth: 11:18am Place

of Birth: Chandrapur (Maharashtra, India). Birth star is Uttara

Phalguni.

Right now I am in the US and I am contemplating to back to India. For

how long will I continue to struggle? Please advice.

Dear Harshada,

 

There is nothing wrong with your RAHU mahadasha.

RAHU mahadasha comes for everyone and it does lot

good. Rahu is a general Maleific but can do good if

proper precautions are taken. Wearing of the

"GOMEDAKA" ring in the righthad middle finger is

considered highly benefic. If the astroleger you

consulted did not tell you this nostlikely he does not

know about it. Also RAHU does good in foreign

land{compared to home}( if properly placed) . So if

you go back to india there is no guarantee that things

will improve.

 

I would advise(in my little knowledge)to perform/pray

Durga pooja atleast on Tuesdays and Fridays & recite

Navagraha Stotra daily morning.

Dear Ramesh ji,

Thank you for that feed back. Actually I did wear the Gomedaka ring

in the middle finger of Right Hand from 1996-2000. Over the period of

this time I noticed that the stone was 'shrinking' in size. Finally

on April 19th (which also happens to be my birth date) of year 2000,

the stone fell off on its own. On suggestion of the same astrologer,

I did milk abhishekham for the stone and then immersed it in the

ocean. So I am not sure whether I need to wear it again. And whether

the melting of the stone itself has any significance.

Regarding foreign land, I am here in this country since 1997, but

ever since I have come here I am facing a lot of hardships. There was

only a brief time during the year 2000 when everything seemed to move

in right direction and I was very happy. But last 2 years have been

extremely challenging emotionally, financially and job wise. I don't

have a job since last 2 years and everytime there would be several

hopes and positive leads...but just when I would feel happy that "ok

at least this time things will work", the very next day totally

reverse happens and I am back to square one.

Even though there were several hurdles I somehow managed to complete

masters degree. Still I have no job. And I am sinking in a lot of

debts. Right now my condition is pretty similar to a pauper.

Hence I am really wondering whether the foreign land is of any

benefit to me.

Also please tell me whether there are any chances for marriage,

children. I got married in Feb 1999 but within a few months my

marriage got nullified because of some mental problem of the boy.

Except for the ceremony of the marriage I was in no way 'married".

even though I am still going strong, yet I am also engripped with a

lot of insecurities and worries. Please advise--when will my time

improve?

Dear Harshada,

 

Unless otherwise advised , I think you should go

ahead with a new GOMEDAKA ring.

Another thing to note is that not only you the whole

economy is facing harships. So dont single yourself

out for all the miseries. Give less importance to

yourself and try to involve yourself in some kind of

charity help/voluntary help for some hours during a

week . You should find peace and get things back to

normal.

Also, with Jupiter in fifth house libra for a Gemini

ascndant like you romantically you are charming, but

very inconsistent and fickle. Definitely chances for

re-marriage and having kids.

Dear Ramesh ji,

Thank you very much for your response. But some of my questions are

still unanswered that's why I am bothering you again.

1. About Gomedhak ring--since it melted on it's own, is there any

significance to it.

2. When will I get a job--will it be here or India? Is the job going

to be in the same field of my study? I am planning to return to India

in Feb, do you think that will be favourable?

3. Approximate date/year when I will get married--whether my future

spouse will be a noble person? Will I find him here or in India?

 

Until last month, I did do voluntary service in the temple every

saturday for 3 hours. I was even teaching music for very less money.

Now I have stopped all that as I am anyway returning to India for

good. Do you think I can start all that in India?

Dear Harshada, It's true the Rahu dasha presents challenges of illusions of all

sorts. Luckily yours does not afflict in your chart closely. There are four

functional benefics in your eleventh house, including the bhukti lord Venus.

Their dispositor Mars is weak in the house of losses and expenditures. Those

four planets could be strengthened, and especially Mars, by color therapy or a

kavach.

Dear Sally,

 

Thank you very much for your feedback and also reccomending the

tutorial site for beginners. Before I continue, I must say that I

have been reading all the messages posted/ replied by you. You seem

to have good knowledge in Vedic Astrology. And I particularly like

the manner in which you reply them.

 

Regarding Rahu Dasha's challenges and illusions, I think I am at the

peak right now, with no job, no place of my own to live, no money to

afford good food and no money to afford the other basic necessities.

Within the last year I must have shunted between at least 5 different

homes! What an irony, for most people in india, living in a foreign

land is a "Luxury" whereas, I am living here like a pauper! Even in

my efforts to go back to my homeland, there seems to be so many

obstacles...when do you think this will change? I mean can you give

an approximate date/month/year?

 

Also, I would like to understand what you mean by "Functional

Benefics" and "Bhukti lord Venus"? What does the latter signify?

 

How do I strengthen the 4 planets? I have done one major "jap" of a

special mantra given to me by the temple priest for 48 days...after

that I did "archana" for Saturn for 7 saturdays followed by one more

pooja which was also done for 7 saturdays. I used to chant "Hanuman

Chalisa" every day...just recently I stopped--not totally, I chant

only sometimes. I want to know what more needs to be done?

 

Again, all the adversities that I am facing, are they temporary or I

have to struggle life long?

 

I am sorry if I am bothering you with too many questions. I am just

engulfed with a lot of worries...

If the Gomedha stone fell off that might be a sign.

 

From what you said about your chart the most obvious planet to Strengthen is Saturn. Sat is debilitated in Aries and is lord of Auspicious houses (9th outweighs 8th in this case).

 

Saturn is also the lord of Rahu in this chart and influences many planets including the Ascendant itself (3rd house aspect).

 

So Perhaps lord of Rahu is more important than Rahu.

 

Charity and good works on Saturday is important. I would buy "The greatness of Saturn" by Dr. Svoboda. Very good book!

 

Also, you might want to get a small blue sapphire, put on Saturday when the moon is waxing.
