how do I put an image in my post

When I attach a picture to my post, How do I make the picture appear as part of the content?

After attaching the picture (before submiting the post), right click on the attachment name beneath the post window. Then choose "copy link" or "copy location". Then click the image button in the post window, and paste that link with control+V. Then submit the post.

 

After posting you can also click on edit, then click "Go Advanced", and do the same thing.

What should I do if I want to display a picture as a part of content, but do not want thumb nail for the same picture to appear in the post.

The only way to avoid the thumbnail showing up would be to upload it to a seperate site, and then link to it.
