Stop your regular eating now. Drink 1 glass water each hour of waking day. Eat and or drink (by blending the food into a juice) 1 pound ea day of green leafy vegetables. Continuously eat leafy greens and/or Continuously DRINK juice from leafy greens. By doing so, you're 'appeitite' ('desire to eat more') will be greatly reduced; you're bowles will clear out; Oxygen distribution [via the blood stream] will increase; tokins will be flushed; skin will reflect this increase vigor; Stop all bread/wheats/ghee & SUGARS! best regards, Hare Krishna, Bhaktajan

God is the Absolute Supreme Personality of Godhead. Because God is Absolute, He is his own Person. That Absolute Person must be known precisely as he Absolute exists ---all other forms/thoughts/Ideas of God are only indications of that Absolute Person. God's Absolute Personality of Godhead Status indicates that He is absolutely His own Persona. This absolute status is only known through the Vedas where His Absolute Personality is spelt out. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::: On the other hand: When all varigated phenomena is erased, when all Space is erased, when all time is erased . . . A] there still exists the potential for "Three-Dimensions". B] there still exists the potential for "Locomotion" By my use of the appellation "Potential", I am saying that even in a situation devoid of matter & energy & time & Space . . . there is still Potential for "Three-Dimensions" along with "Locomotion" ---irregardless of who/what/how initiates creation or whether there is an absolute state that transcends material phenomena ---there exists as a pre-creation/substratum/pre-requisite meta-physical blank page that ALLOWS for even empty space to occupy itself before its creative play: "Three-Dimensions" along with "Locomotion" lay fallow until it is utilised ---yet interestingly, never are these "3-Dimensions" along with "Locomotion" actually a manifest; they don't manifest as entities unto them selves and yet they underlie all potential possibilities. You can't measure "Three-Dimensions" along with "Locomotion". You can't make them under your control ---they are a nuetral state that allows even the void to come and go as epochs pass into oblivion again and again. When all is erased there sits "Three-Dimensions" along with "Locomotion"; selflessly, or as the prime self? C] there still exists the potential for "onomatopoeia" [onomatopoeia = the naming of a thing or action by a vocal imitation of the sound associated with it (such as buzz or hiss). Onomatopoeia may also refer to the use of words whose sound suggests the sense. from Gk. onomatopoiia "the making of a name or word" (in imitation of a sound associated with the thing being named), from onomatopoios, from onoma (gen. onomatos) "word, name" (see 'name') + a derivative of poiein "compose, make" (see 'poet').] I would like to add (2) more to the above items that "pre-exist before varigated manifestation of creation occurs": Grammer and Duality ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The above is my own philosophical postulation. comments welcomed, Bhaktajan

Remembering the Lord at the time of death

SB 12.4.15-19 The element fire then seizes the taste from the element water, which, deprived of its unique quality, taste, merges into fire. Air seizes the form inherent in fire, and then fire, deprived of form, merges into air. The element ether seizes the quality of air, namely touch, and that air enters into ether. Then, O King, false ego in ignorance seizes sound, the quality of ether, after which ether merges into false ego. False ego in the mode of passion takes hold of the senses, and false ego in the mode of goodness absorbs the demigods. Then the total mahat-tattva seizes false ego along with its various functions, and that mahat is seized by the three basic modes of nature—goodness, passion and ignorance. My dear King Parékñit, these modes are further overtaken by the original unmanifest form of nature, impelled by time. That unmanifest nature is not subject to the six kinds of transformation caused by the influence of time. Rather, it has no beginning and no end. It is the unmanifest, eternal and infallible cause of creation. SB 12.4.28 Anything experienced in terms of general cause and specific effect must be an illusion, because such causes and effects exist only relative to each other. Indeed, whatever has a beginning and an end is unreal. SB 12.4.34 My dear Parékñit, when the illusory false ego that binds the soul has been cut off with the sword of discriminating knowledge and one has developed realization of Lord Acyuta, the Supreme Soul, this is called the ätyantika, or ultimate, annihilation of material existence. SB 12.6.30-31 But there exists a supreme reality, in which the illusory energy cannot fearlessly dominate, thinking, “I can control this person because he is deceitful.” In that highest reality there are no illusory argumentative philosophies. Rather, there the true students of spiritual science constantly engage in authorized spiritual investigation. In that supreme reality there is no manifestation of the material mind, which functions in terms of alternating decision and doubt. Created material products, their subtle causes and the goals of enjoyment attained by their utilization do not exist there. Furthermore, in that supreme reality there is no conditioned spirit, covered by false ego and the three modes of nature. That reality excludes everything limited or limiting. One who is wise should therefore stop the waves of material life and enjoy within that Supreme Truth. SB 12.6.32 Those who desire to give up all that is not essentially real move systematically, by negative discrimination of the extraneous, to the supreme position of Lord Viñëu. Giving up petty materialism, they offer their love exclusively to the Absolute Truth within their hearts and embrace that highest truth in fixed meditation. -
Remembering the Lord at the time of death

I raised the issue of Pain ---I knew at the time of the early post that I was referring to Pain as a result of the Yamadhuta stealing away the sinfull soul destined to meet Yama-Raja. Yet, Now I've checked-out Bhagavatam . . . and there is the mention of common attached householders who consider the obligations to care for the living kin componded with infirmity and unfullfilled desires. Anyway the pain I spoke of is mentioned somewhere in regards to the Yamadhutas pulling the soul loose. Here's some sastra: SB 3.30.14 The foolish family man does not become averse to family life although he is maintained by those whom he once maintained. Deformed by the influence of old age, he prepares himself to meet ultimate death. PURPORT Family attraction is so strong that even if one is neglected by family members in his old age, he cannot give up family affection, and he remains at home just like a dog. In the Vedic way of life one has to give up family life when he is strong enough. It is advised that before getting too weak and being baffled in material activities, and before becoming diseased, one should give up family life and engage oneself completely in the service of the Lord for the remaining days of his life. It is enjoined, therefore, in the Vedic scriptures, that as soon as one passes fifty years of age, he must give up family life and live alone in the forest. After preparing himself fully, he should become a sannyäsé to distribute the knowledge of spiritual life to each and every home. SB 3.30.15 Thus he remains at home just like a pet dog and eats whatever is so negligently given to him. Afflicted with many illnesses, such as dyspepsia and loss of appetite, he eats only very small morsels of food, and he becomes an invalid, who cannot work any more. PURPORT Before meeting death one is sure to become a diseased invalid, and when he is neglected by his family members, his life becomes less than a dog’s because he is put into so many miserable conditions. Vedic literatures enjoin, therefore, that before the arrival of such miserable conditions, one should leave home and die without the knowledge of his family members. If a man leaves home and dies without his family’s knowing, that is considered to be a glorious death. But an attached family man wants his family members to carry him in a great procession even after his death, and although he will not be able to see how the procession goes, he still desires that his body be taken gorgeously in procession. Thus he is happy without even knowing where he has to go when he leaves his body for the next life. SB 3.30.16 In that diseased condition, one’s eyes bulge due to the pressure of air from within, and his glands become congested with mucus. He has difficulty breathing, and upon exhaling and inhaling he produces a sound like ghura-ghura, a rattling within the throat. SB 3.30.17 In this way he comes under the clutches of death and lies down, surrounded by lamenting friends and relatives, and although he wants to speak with them, he no longer can because he is under the control of time. PURPORT For formality’s sake, when a man is lying on his deathbed, his relatives come to him, and sometimes they cry very loudly, addressing the dying man: “Oh, my father!” “Oh, my friend!” or “Oh, my husband!” In that pitiable condition the dying man wants to speak with them and instruct them of his desires, but because he is fully under the control of the time factor, death, he cannot express himself, and that causes him inconceivable pain. He is already in a painful condition because of disease, and his glands and throat are choked up with mucus. He is already in a very difficult position, and when he is addressed by his relatives in that way, his grief increases. SB 3.30.18 Thus the man, who engaged with uncontrolled senses in maintaining a family, dies in great grief, seeing his relatives crying. He dies most pathetically, in great pain and without consciousness. PURPORT In Bhagavad-gétä it is said that at the time of death one will be absorbed in the thoughts which he cultivated during his lifetime. A person who had no other idea than to properly maintain his family members must have family affairs in his last thoughts. That is the natural sequence for a common man. The common man does not know the destiny of his life; he is simply busy in his flash of life, maintaining his family. At the last stage, no one is satisfied with how he has improved the family economic condition; everyone thinks that he could not provide sufficiently. Because of his deep family affection, he forgets his main duty of controlling the senses and improving his spiritual consciousness. Sometimes a dying man entrusts the family affairs to either his son or some relative, saying, “I am going. Please look after the family.” He does not know where he is going, but even at the time of death he is anxious about how his family will be maintained. Sometimes it is seen that a dying man requests the physician to increase his life at least for a few years so that the family maintenance plan which he has begun can be completed. These are the material diseases of the conditioned soul. He completely forgets his real engagement—to become Kåñëa conscious—and is always serious about planning to maintain his family, although he changes families one after another. SB 3.30.19 At death, he sees the messengers of the lord of death come before him, their eyes full of wrath, and in great fear he passes stool and urine. PURPORT There are two kinds of transmigration of a living entity after passing away from the present body. One kind of transmigration is to go to the controller of sinful activities, who is known as Yamaräja, and the other is to go to the higher planets, up to Vaikuëöha. Here Lord Kapila describes how persons engaged in activities of sense gratification to maintain a family are treated by the messengers of Yamaräja, called Yamadütas. At the time of death the Yamadütas become the custodians of those persons who have strongly gratified their senses. They take charge of the dying man and take him to the planet where Yamaräja resides. The conditions there are described in the following verses. SB 3.30.20 As a criminal is arrested for punishment by the constables of the state, a person engaged in criminal sense gratification is similarly arrested by the Yamadütas, who bind him by the neck with strong rope and cover his subtle body so that he may undergo severe punishment. SB 4.25.53 Another gate on the western side was known as Niråti. Puraïjana used to go through this gate to the place known as Vaiçasa, accompanied by his friend Lubdhaka. PURPORT This is a reference to the rectum. The rectum is supposed to be situated on the western side of the eyes, nose and ears. This gate is especially meant for death. When an ordinary living entity abandons his present body, he passes through the rectum. It is therefore painful. When one is called by nature to evacuate, one also experiences pain. The friend of the living entity who accompanies him through this gate is named Lubdhaka, which means “greed.” Due to our greed, we eat unnecessarily, and such gluttony causes pain at the time of evacuation. The conclusion is that the living entity feels well if he evacuates properly. This gate is known as Niråti, or the painful gate. SB 6.10.3 O elevated demigods, at the time of death, severe, unbearable pain takes away the consciousness of all living entities who have accepted material bodies. Don’t you know about this pain? -
Kulapavana's namesake shines brightly with this statement: Do not worry about the rules you are not able to follow. Worry about following the rules you CAN follow, like hearing, chanting, remembering, rendering service, etc. Concentrate on the positive purification. Prabhupada gave here a very high standard few people (especially of the non-brahminical variety) can follow. Set yourself a realistic standard of no sex outside marriage - that is hard enough for most people to follow. If you live like that all your life (following realistic standards and performing devotional service) when you are old you will be ready to follow the highest standards. Be patient.

Also, when seeing karmi strangers ---look for a subtile marking of Viashnava Tilak marking on the foreheads of the karmi strangers.

My secret to being in the zone: I play electric guitar like a person possessed [ie: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Van Halen, Malsteen, etc] ---so inorder to NOT wipe-out & crash & burn, I begin by bowing to my right and then I say, "Jai Shree Balarama" and then, I bow to my left and then I say, "Jai Shree Krishna" and then, I bow forward and then I say, "Jai Shree-Shree" and then I proceed. [remember that Arjuna had Krishna Driving the chariot and While Arjuna looked in all directions --he had Balaram's fighting skills ie: The Gada (mace) at his side too] ---as he, Arjuna, speedily headed straight into the fray.

I told my boss that the Forums will be closing and therefore I will be able to preform more work each day from now onward . . . but first I'll need a couple days off to adjust to the loss . . . My boss responded with a simple, "Huh?" ---Just see how even the Boss doesn't understand the things I have to do to save the world and bring peace to hundreds of unseen folks . . . in whatever little ways I can manage . . .

Yes, Ranjeet has waxed eloquently mant times --yes, sometimes he even bordered on ranting ---but even that was most eloquent. "Now for something completely different" . . . TO jndas, o/b/o any one interested in receiving a copy of the "Bhagavatam Family tree Chart" . . . [someone had PM me a montha ago and I lost the email to send it to] --- I want to send it to jndas ---who could then distribute to anyone who asks.

Remembering the Lord at the time of death
bhaktajan replied to theist's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Remembering The Lord at death does take 'conscious practice' ---my only issue of "personal faith" is that I have 'the faith' that God will allot to me the time [and hopefully the place] to make proper contrition. Sri Isopanishad Mantra 17-18: Let this temporary body be burnt to ashes, and let the air of life be merged with the totality of air. Now, O my Lord, please remember all my sacrifices, and because You are the ultimate beneficiary, please remember all that I have done for You. O my Lord, as powerful as fire, O omnipotent one, now I offer You all obeisances, falling on the ground at Your feet. O my Lord, please lead me on the right path to reach You, and since You know all that I have done in the past, please free me from the reactions to my past sins so that there will be no hindrance to my progress. **************************************** So that is what mahak's statement is so important: "remember the Lord at the time of LIFE." IOW "So, dont chant at the time of death, chant at the time of LIFE" -

Wrong: Vaishnava is absolute. An Absolute proposistion. The Absolute proposistion is Krishna is Krsihna as he is revealed in the Vedas ---to those who are ready to recieve the revelation . . . after so many near attempts birth after birth . . . Krishna is absolute! Butter is butter ---but, Ice Cream is Ice Cream. It takes great great great Technical ability to "discriminate" the absolute difference! Overlooking such details ---is to demonstrate the one's mind is multi-divided and not focused on absolute real, lasting entities. It is like saying YOUR possessions are ALSO MY possessions ---so give me your wealth. What do you need YOUR possessions for? Ans: For YOURSELF and not for others. This is an example of an absolute truth. So, Krishna similarly owns all real existence ---while we live during the passages of time and places and once upon atime(s). Viashnava is an absolute truth that can be revealed after all the dust settles.

My old allegory: Nothingness and Something-ness both existed together and sustained each other since time-immemorial, together this is called the material manifestation or the Cosmos. Something-ness may be found either conscious or in-animated. The Self: Each conscious Individual, within the cosmos, has as its own address a "Vector Point" [X-Y-Z Axis Intersection]—which is indivisible, individual, eternal, and conscious. An animated conscious individual may occupy a body [encasement]. This encasement allows the pursuit of its own gratification by way of: 1 Eating, 2 Sleeping, 3 Mating, 4 Defense (Physical, mental, ego). After the temporal stages of birth, growth, old age and death the vector point retains only the spirit of 'direction toward a **goal'. Thus by dint of prior cultivated interests, inherits a new body/encasement which accommodates another lifetime for the pursuit of gratification(s) along the same lines of interests that where cultivated during its last life. When this is repeated since time immemorial the sages call this 'samsara' [the cycle of birth and death]. [**the goal is often without guidance thus the 4 pursuits become the ultimate means and end of life's journey to nowhere except repeated gratification. Proper guidance allows us to reconcile, "What in the hell are we doing here?" during a lifetime]. The setting of the above pastimes [of every animated or inanimated individual point] is a large empty space of Nothingness [the sages call this empty space: 'brahman']. The in-animated elements within the cosmos are of two kinds: 1 gross matter [earth, water, fire, air, either], and, 2 subtle [mind, intelligence, ego]. The mystery of life is the attainment of transcendence. Some say the attainment of nirvana, or merging with the primordial 'Nothingness' is the goal. The chain of succession of knowledge that comes to us from Vyasadeva shows us [through dissatisfaction with our own pursuits —life time after life times of gratification in countless species of life— in varying births of different status] that the goal of life is to seek the 'Absolute Truth' not relative truths. The conclusion of the Vedas and thus the conclusion of Vedanta is the 'Absolute Truth' known as the personage known as Krishna. We know this 'Absolute Truth' in the same way we know who are real father is: from our mother [except for those who cultivated future disadvatages]. The Vedas are like our mother telling us who are father is etc, etc. Krishna Consciousness is the top most mystic yoga discipline: Remembering the transcendental name, fame, form, personality, paraphernalia, entourage, and, pastimes of none other than the Supreme Personality of Godhead Bhagavan Sri Krishna, son of Vasudeva, brother of Balarama, cousin of Arjuna, source of Mahavisnu and Narayana, the original-original eternal, all-cognizant, all-blissful form of God in his Transcendent Heaven where every soul pursues reciprocal pastimes with God face to face. Yoga is to re-link with this 'Absolute Truth', thus remembering Krishna's form assists the minute living entity [conscious Individual Vector Point] at death so as to acquire a next birth that further cultivates Krsna Conscousness till successful completion. Remembering Krishna in the material world is prescribed thus [it is also the easiest]: Chant Krishna's names. Chant the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra. Read the Bhagavad-gita's Chapter 10 "The Opulence of the Absolute” to learn where to see God's opulence spread through-out the cosmos

This was good too!

Hey Primate! This was your best yet ---maybe its because it is more readable: Suppose everything is consciousness. Since nothing in our individual reality (down to the absolute quantum level) is ever static, consciousness must be an extremely dynamical phenomenon. Nevertheless, each individual person must be a relatively stable recurrent dynamical pattern of consciousness, which forms a coherent dynamical conscious system in itself. This may be seen as the small persistent eddies in an overall whirlpool. The small eddies are part of larger vortices, which are in turn part of larger vortices et cetera. If in this analogy each persistent dynamical pattern of a vortex is an individual person, the small eddies are individual persons and the larger vortices are also individual persons. Ultimately all individual consciousness exists within this overall whirlpool of consciousness that is itself a person. Now, if the overall whirlpool is God, every individual vortex or person is part of God and ultimately one with God. However, each individual person is also different from God. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This analogy is NOT impersonalistic ---but it does not refer to the description of God's status as a person. It describes the Jiva's relation to God.

Another is, "Want to make God laugh? Tell him your plans"

Primate wrote: And since we retain our individuality as conscious human beings, I don’t see why we wouldn’t retain our individuality at any subsequent liberated state of being. Even if it’s possible to completely merge into Brahman, I couldn’t say if this is to be preferred over personally "worshipping Krishna in Vaikunta".. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "retain our individuality at any subsequent liberated state of being." ---without a 'relationship' to a transcendent Absolute ENTITY [God's Personage] . . . what constitues 'individuality'? What makes one individual individual, except in contrast to other Persons? Does Personal preference(s) constitute an individual? Does samsara steal-away our preference(s) or do our Personal preference(s) change birth-after-birth . . . since, amidst samsara, we are always self-ascribing temporary conditioned 'likes & dis-likes' as the definition of one's own individuality? What makes for ABSOLUTE individuality?

There is a always a personality behind the scene {This analogy is adjusted for GMT + 3 Hrs USA EST . . . anyone can adjust it with ones own local region} "The God is a Person Principle" or "Why mayavadi's can not deny a that there is a always a personality behind the scene" or "The Personification Principle" Q. Who is the personification of the American Dollar Bill? A. George Washington. Q. Who is the Living Personification of the American Dollar Bill? A. George Bush. Q. Who is the personification of the State of New York'? A. The Governor (Mr. David Patterson). Q. Who is the personification of one of the many regional Counties of New York State? A. The County Executive. Q. Who is the personification of one of the many Congressional Districts of New York State? A. The Congressman/State Representative. Q. Who is the personification of New York City? A. The Mayor (Mr. Blumberg). Q. Who is the personification of one of the many Districts of New York City? A. The Concilman/Ombudsman. Q. Who is the personification of any apartment? A. The tenant. Q. Who is the personification of the room with the football and the many toy Trains? A. One of the male children. Q. Who is the personification of nursery room? A. The Baby. The point of my illustration is: "Without the presence of the persona, all paraphernalia is without meaning nor purpose for existing" PS: Q. Who is the personification of a mayavadi? A. His temporary illusion? A Vaisnava to argue with?

It's the "Conclusion of the Vedas" --- Krishnas tu bhagavan svayam ergo: a person; ergo, LOVE. Rascal, is a term of endearment. Krishna's rod-of-chastisement has been translated from the sanskrit as, mudha ---So, now you know the truth Sambya, we Vaishnavas have been most diplomatic along the way. Such is the sensation of "Tough Love"

Not grudes, nor superiority complex does a vaishnava show themselves ---it is PARENTAIL INTERVENTION. We, vaishnavas MERCIFULLY despense chasticement to mayavadis . . . just as the Steward of the 'Conclusion-Verdict-Purpose-of-the-Vedas' [vedanta]. Rascal is one who shoild know better . . . but due to self-infactuating ego, or, youthfull indescretion, errs ---that is when a Vaishnava shines the light on your embrassment.
