  1. Another thing this radio guest said is that the US and Israel will go into Iran and forcibly remove Iran's nuclear weapons programs within the next year or two.
  2. Yeah I chant all the time when I am playing golf but I don't keep track of how many times I chant and I don't say the mantra in any organized way. Sometimes I just say Hare Krishna or just Hare Rama but I rarely say the whole mantra Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama, Rama, Hare Hare. I am good at the regulative principles however and being around golfers a lot I have to do a lot of dodging when it comes to meat eating and drinking intoxicants. A lot of golfers eat meat and drink alcohol and I avoid prolonged association with people that do that stuff. Anyways I appreciate your kind words of encouragement.
  3. Is it alright to accept the Lord Jesus Christ in the heart as a spiritual master? I have great respect for Srila Prabhupada but I don't have the discipline to chant 16 rounds a day so he wouldn't accept me anyway. I still like mundane activities like playing golf etc. but if I ever have any success in golf I will give all the credit to Krishna.
  4. Hi mpuri, How do I enable the ability to get private messages?
  5. I was listening to the coast to coast radio program with George Noory again last night and they had this guy who is a remote viewer for the government. He was saying that the government has already intercepted and prevented some major terrorist attacks on U.S. soil just this last summer. He was also saying that the next 7 years are going to be a phase of destruction for the U.S. Bush will get reelected and Mount Rainier will erupt. He also said like the guy the night before that the battle of Armageddon will be a war between China and the USA. This guy has worked for the UN and he said that it is well known that China is behind Al Qaeda and various other terrorist organizations and that China is planning to invade the U.S.
  6. The Urantia Book "Religous peace -brotherhood- can never exist unless all religions are willing to divest themselves of all ecclesiastical authority and fully surrender all concept of spiritual sovereignty. God alone is spirit sovereign." "You cannot have equality among religions (religous liberty) without having religous wars unless all religions consent to the transfer of all religous sovereignty to some superhuman level, to God himself." "The kingdom of heaven in the hearts of men will create religous unity (not necessarily uniformity) because any and all religous groups composed of such religous believers will be free from all notions of ecclesiastical authority - religous sovereignty." "God is spirit, and God gives a fragment of his spirit self to dwell in the heart of man. Spiritually, all men are equal. The kingdom of heaven is free from castes, classes, social levels, and economic groups. You are all brethren." "But the moment you lose sight of the spirit sovereignty of God the Father, some one religion will begin to assert its superiority over other religions; and then, instead of peace on earth and good will among men, there will start dissensions, recriminations, even religous wars, at least wars among religionists." "Freewill beings who regard themselves as equals, unless they mutually acknowledge themselves as subject to some supersovereignty, some authority over and above themselves, sooner or later are tempted to try out their ability to gain power and authority over other persons and groups. The concept of equality never brings peace except in the mutual recognition of some overcontrolling influence of supersovereignty."
  7. I was listening to that Coast to Coast with George Noory and they had a guy named Charles Smith on. He made the claim that Clinton administration equipped the Chinese with various weapons technology that was then sold to Iraq and Al Qaeda and is now being used against our forces in Iraq. He claimed that China is secretly behind terrorist organizations and that China's ultimate goal is to spread out American resources and forces and take over America somewhere between 2015 and 2020. He even said that the Chinese press cheered on 9/11. Despite making all these claims none of the Clinton administration people have sued him because they don't want to be forced to comply to discovery motions that would have damning evidence against them. Apparently there is even evidence that John Kerry is in bed with the Chinese. More info can be found at www.softwar.net.
  8. Well like you say they are both demons but I generally vote Republican because they at least espouse being the party of small government. High taxation and big government is a symptom of Kali-yuga and generally the democrats support high taxation and big government. Unfortunately the Republicans in many ways have become like the democrats so I am not convinced there is a viable option for a sane man. I am not sure if I am going to vote at all despite what MTV says.
  9. Is there any evidence of the story of King Muchukunda being true? I read in a book by Joseph Campbell that an Indian warrior named King Muchukunda was a great warrior but he got tired of fighting wars and decided to go live in a cave in a mountain. He only prayed that he could fall asleep and never be woken up again. Apparently the person that came and woke him up was Krsna. Is this a true story?
  10. I don't know if this answers your question but I just found this quote in The Journey of Self-Discovery. "This eagerness is required. We must be very, very, eager to see Krsna. Many gopis who were forcibly stopped from going to Krsna lost their lives because of their great feelings of seperation. So this eagerness is wanted; then you can see God. Whether you are lusty or a thief or a murderer or whatever it may be - somehow or other you must develop this eagerness, this desire: "I must see Krsna." Then Krsna will be seen." "The first thing Krsna is looking for is how eager you are to see Him. Krsna will respond. If you are actually eager to see Krsna - whether you are lusty, or you want to steal His ornaments, or some way or other you have become attracted to Krsna - then it is sure your efforts will be successful." "When both science and religion become less dogmatic and more tolerant of criticism, philosophy will then begin to achieve unity in the intelligent comprehension of the universe" - The Urantia Book
  11. December 5, 2001 LA Times Clinton Let Bin Laden Slip Away and Metastasize by Mansoor Ijaz President Clinton and his national security team ignored several opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist associates, including one as late as last year. I know because I negotiated more than one of the opportunities. From 1996 to 1998, I opened unofficial channels between Sudan and the Clinton administration. I met with officials in both countries, including Clinton, U.S. National Security Advisor Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger and Sudan's president and intelligence chief. President Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir, who wanted terrorism sanctions against Sudan lifted, offered the arrest and extradition of Bin Laden and detailed intelligence data about the global networks constructed by Egypt's Islamic Jihad, Iran's Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas. Among those in the networks were the two hijackers who piloted commercial airliners into the World Trade Center. The silence of the Clinton administration in responding to these offers was deafening. As an American Muslim and a political supporter of Clinton, I feel now, as I argued with Clinton and Berger then that their counter-terrorism policies fueled the rise of Bin Laden from an ordinary man to a Hydra-like monster. Realizing the growing problem with Bin Laden, Bashir sent key intelligence officials to the U.S. in February 1996. The Sudanese offered to arrest Bin Laden and extradite him to Saudi Arabia or, barring that, to "baby-sit" him--monitoring all his activities and associates. But Saudi officials didn't want their home-grown terrorist back where he might plot to overthrow them. In May 1996, the Sudanese capitulated to U.S. pressure and asked Bin Laden to leave, despite their feeling that he could be monitored better in Sudan than elsewhere. Bin Laden left for Afghanistan, taking with him Ayman Zawahiri, considered by the U.S. to be the chief planner of the Sept. 11 attacks; Mamdouh Mahmud Salim, who traveled frequently to Germany to obtain electronic equipment for Al Qaeda; Wadih El-Hage, Bin Laden's personal secretary and roving emissary, now serving a life sentence in the U.S. for his role in the 1998 embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya; and Fazul Abdullah Mohammed and Saif Adel, also accused of carrying out the embassy attacks. Some of these men are now among the FBI's 22 most-wanted terrorists. The two men who allegedly piloted the planes into the twin towers, Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi, prayed in the same Hamburg mosque as did Salim and Mamoun Darkazanli, a Syrian trader who managed Salim's bank accounts and whose assets are frozen. Important data on each had been compiled by the Sudanese. But U.S. authorities repeatedly turned the data away, first in February 1996; then again that August, when at my suggestion Sudan's religious ideologue, Hassan Turabi, wrote directly to Clinton; then again in April 1997, when I persuaded Bashir to invite the FBI to come to Sudan and view the data, and finally in February 1998, when Sudan's intelligence chief, Gutbi al Mahdi, wrote directly to the FBI. Gutbi had shown me some of Sudan's data during a three-hour meeting in Khartoum in October 1996. When I returned to Washington, I told Berger and his specialist for East Africa, Susan Rice, about the data available. They said they'd get back to me. They never did. Neither did they respond when Bashir made the offer directly. I believe they never had any intention to engage Muslim countries--ally or not. Radical Islam, for the administration, was a convenient national security threat. And that was not the end of it. In July 2000--three months before the deadly attack on the destroyer Cole in Yemen--I brought the White House another plausible offer to deal with Bin Laden, by then known to be involved in the embassy bombings. A senior counter-terrorism official from one of the United States closest Arab allies--an ally whose name I am not free to divulge--approached me with the proposal after telling me he was fed up with the antics and arrogance of U.S. counter-terrorism officials. The offer, which would have brought Bin Laden to the Arab country as the first step of an extradition process that would eventually deliver him to the U.S., required only that Clinton make a state visit there to personally request Bin Laden's extradition. But Senior Clinton officials sabotaged the offer, letting it get caught up in internal politics within the ruling family--Clintonian diplomacy at its best. Clinton's failure to grasp the opportunity to unravel increasingly organized extremists, coupled with Berger's assessments of their potential to directly threaten the U.S. represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history.
  12. The main reason I try to avoid sleeping on my stomach is because I tend to then turn my head to one side and the next morning I wake up with a helluva a neckache.
  13. I heard Dick Morris say tonight that Bill Clinton had 4 chances to get Bin Laden back in the late 1990's but he was too worried about what the soccer moms would think about him. Preemptive paralysis? Go figure.
  14. Nice thought but realistically I think it is safer to say "They did it all for the nookie." You know, the virgins they get in heaven.
  15. Move to the amazon? Would increased cow protection hurt the ketchup business? Go figure. Scotty if you are there, Beam me up.
  16. Doesn't it say somewhere in Vedas that a plunderer of wealth, or someone who steals another man's wife should be immediately killed? The whole of Bhagavad Gita shows that killing is not always irreligous. Yeah you have to try to keep the killing to a minimum but you have yet to convince me that America is intentionally targeting the innocent in anyway unless you somehow consider Saddam and his cohorts as innocent? I still remain convinced the world is better place without Saddam and when and if these fascists keep popping up take em out one by one. Like theist says we are supposed to be soft as a rose and as mighty as a lightning bolt or something like that. I haven't seen any evidence that singing Kum ba yah to these Islamo fascists is going to pacify them. How many European conferences and UN meetings does it take to come to the conclusion good arguments have failed only to find out that half the homo Europeans and UN are in bed with Saddam? I know that America has its share of its own hypocrisy and plenty of rascals in religion and government but I still aint subscribing to this hate America rhetoric from the left. If America is so horrible and evil why does everyone want to come here? I suppose its possible this war is a karmic reaction to America's cow killing but the Kali-yuga is extremely messy and you can only do the best you can under some very difficult circumstances. If I could convince everyone to give up cow killing I would but its not possible.
  17. Whenever I go to Seattle to visit my brother I always say that being a Republican in the city of Seattle is like being the last man who hasn't been body snatched in that movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." If someone even gets the slightest indication that you are not a liberal they swarm on you and they prepare your pod so you too become a pod person.
  18. That is exactly the same thing I experienced with Urantia Book. As much as I love Srimad Bhagavatam the cosmology in Urantia Book is even more detailed in ways and is a source of incredible depth of knowledge. I suppose there is a possibility it could be an elaborate hoax but even if it was an elaborate hoax it is such a good hoax that I would have to admire it still as being a great hoax. I am same as you, I integrate the best of both cosmologies and it is source of endless spiritual enjoyment. The thing I really like is that it brought me back in touch with my Christian heritage. In ways I turned to Hinduism out of philosophical differences with modern Christian theology. Urantia book has helped me come to peace with some of those theological differences.
  19. Source: UC Berkeley News Berkeley is the heart of the liberal think tank in America. You really expect objectivity coming out of Berkeley?
  20. I admit that Christianity has had many phoney preachers like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Jim Baker etc. I don't disagree with you that a lot of modern Christianity has become a farce. Its just when I was going to school if you believed that Jesus was not a myth that he really was a holy man you were viewed as having some screws in your head loose. To me reducing Jesus to a myth or just a common man is the same as mayavadi philosophy or just pure atheism. The Clinton era is over however so things may have changed by now for all I know. I will give you libs some credit, even though Kerry is an expert in lawyer speak at least he seems to be a decent enough human being who at least has faith in God. Despite liberals denials and excuses I think Clinton's character flaws did lose the liberals credibility.
  21. As they say there is nothing lamentable in Krishna's creation. Not a blade of grass moves without his sanction. "My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise at the same time, make you dry your eyes with the same rhyme. See what you are seeing is a genius at work so its easy to misinterpret it at first, cause when I speak its tongue in cheek. I'd yank my teeth before I'd ever bite my tongue, slice my gums, get struck by lightning twice at once and die and come back as Vanilla Ice's son and walk around the rest of my life spit on, kicked and hit with sh** every time I sung, like R. Kelly as soon as "Bump and Grind" comes on." - Eminem
  22. Maybe I am radio trained but I tried to get a normal education. After 4 years of listening to college professors tell me that homosexuality is normal, that women should behave like militant feminists, that abortion isn't murder and that anything having to do with Christianity is vile and disgusting I gave up on the idea that the liberal elite are actually educated. I can certainly understand people having differences of opinion on Iraq as it is a complicated issue. Maybe we should drop 200 billion dollars worth of Bibles and Srimad Bhagavatams on them. I don't know. "When I was serious people thought I was joking and when I was joking people thought I was serious." - William Blake
  23. When I was young and dumb I said some dumb liberal stuff too so I am not going to hold that against her. She made the conversion over to the light side of the force (common sense) and we welcome her with open arms. "When I was serious people thought I was joking and when I was joking people thought I was serious." - William Blake
  24. I knew that would get a reply out of ya bro. Its all good, I still love ya. "When I was serious people thought I was joking and when I was joking people thought I was serious." - William Blake
