If he was pleased is difficult to say. I don´t think he wanted his followers to believe he was an incarnation of Krishna. It seems his followers made up all those mythical biographies and deified him more or less.

^^ Prabhu, you dont believe Caitanya Mahaprabhu was Krishna himself?

I don´t think so, because the "pancha-tattva" conception was construed by one of Krishna Caitanya´s followers.

Oh! How did Caitanya Mahaprabhu chant Hare Krsna maha-mantra then? He just started to chant the mantra?

Also, was Caitanya Mahaprabhu aware that we chant the Panca-Tattva mantra before chanting the Maha-mantra? Is he pleased by this?

My feelings towards the maha-mantra is. I seem to perceive a mantra to be for example 'Om Namah Sivaya' or the Gayatri Mantra.

 

But inside the hare krishna maha-mantra, the names of hare, krishna, rama are repeated again and again. If the mantra was for example-

 

hare krishna rama, (3 syllables). I think in my mind it would sit well.

 

Why are the names repeated like this? I am not questioning the authenticity,

But what is the need to repeat 16 times (16 syllables)?

 

Please paste me something if you know it, or tell me if you know.

 

I need to know why it is repeated, in this systematic way.

 

I would like it said by Prabhupada, if you can find it.

Prabhuji, you should read "The Nectar of the Holy Name" by Srila Prabhupada. He explains that the Maha-mantra is arranged nicely in that order for "Dusting off our hearts."

Srila Prabhupada said the best way to engage in devotional service is by chanting the Holy Names. (Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.)

I'll have some more quotes from the book for you tomorrow Prabhuji. I'm just returning from school so I do not have the book with me.

Isn't the goal of all Devotees to Worship the Lotus Feet of Lord Sri Krishna?

Srila Prabhupada was influencial in spreading this way of thinking, thus I believe that he has received his wish in serving at the Lotus Feet of Lord Krishna (Hence the reason his murti is present in mostly all ISKCON temples).

Lord Siva praying to Lord Visnu, or any other demi-god's praying to Sri Krishna?

In the Shiv Puran it sais that Lord Visnu is the adorer of Lord Siva.

It has also been said that Lord Rama prayed with Hanumanji to Lord Siva and installed a Siva-Ling before his fight with Ravana.

However, I have never read anything about Lord Sri Krsna worshipping Lord Siva. Did this ever happen?

I have been chanting 20 rounds of Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra daily and I read that initiation is best to guide one back to Krishna. How must one receive initiation? What is the process?

As for you Shivam, the bit about that devotee saying swaminarayan is god you must've made up. ALWAYS REMEMBER IT IS SPELT SWAMINARAYAN NOT SWAMI NARAYAN. Come one have some respect. The second post as i could have guessed in my sleep was against swaminarayan. When will you learn that wasn't a mere mortal, only the avatari. If you disagree do so, but don't badmouth swaminarayan and heir devotees.

Oh! I was walking on Kissena Blvd in Flushing near to the Swami Narayana temple chanting Hare Krsna. A Swami Narayana devotee shortly after saw me and told me to go inside his temple and that Swami Narayana is God!

I was very confused after hearing this.

I have heard that inside a room in Mecca there is Scriptures of Lord Siva.

I have also heard that the original name for Mecca is known as Meccaeshwar (Another name for Sadasiva).

Is there truth in this?

Lord Hanuman is said to also be a form of Lord Siva, and I have read that Arjuna defeated Siva in a battle. Does anybody know about this matter? If so please feel free to add devotees.
