  1. What we have presently is that people who went through modern educational institutions are clearly so much pained that they finaly do for money everything, even going against their own fellow countrymen and of course against the vedic perspective of the real goal of life, reviving our original relationship with Krishna. To muckrake this cheating of innocent children at school is of course again done by non-Vaishnavas whereas ISKCON as usual keeps silent: "There are plenty of intelligent (academic) people who are atheists (eg Dawkins), believe in the pharma hoax and that we are living in a democracy. How dumb is that?" (William Thoms)

There is a good deal else that would not exist without "poisonous pedagogy." It would be inconceivable, for example, for politicians mouthing empty clichès to attain the highest positions of power by democratic means. But since voters, who as children would normally have been capable of seeing through these clichès with the aid of their feelings, were specifically forbidden to do so in their early years, they lose this ability as adults. The capacity to experience the strong feelings of childhood and puberty (which are so often stifled by child-rearing methods, beatings, or even drugs) could provide the individual with an important means of orientation with which he or she could easily determine whether politicians are speaking from genuine experience or are merely parroting time-worn platitudes for the sake of manipulating voters. Our whole system of raising and educating children provides the power-hungry with a ready-made railway network they can use to reach the destination of their choice. They need only push the buttons that parents and educators have already installed. (*"Poisonous pedagogy" refers to that tradition of child-rearing which attempts to suppress all vitality, creativity, and feeling in the child and maintain the autocratic, godlike position of the parents at all costs. See the author's book For Your Own Good, especially the section entitled "Poisonous Pedagogy.") - by Alice Miller, Thou Shalt Not Be Aware http://www.inclusiveorthodox.

This really gets conspiratorial because, when your education system has been subverted by a Satanic cult -- you don't get much more conspiratorial than that. .....I became interested in monopolies through the federal reserve system. And I realized that because they now had the power to print money, since 1913, they were printing the money and taking over other areas. So that's why you now have the medical monopoly, the American Medical Association, the medical trust. You have the legal monopoly, which controls the courts of the United States. And when you go into court, you are at their mercy because they can do whatever they wish. [CN -- See, for example, Defrauding America by Rodney Stich.] ....And the education monopoly! And they found that was the most important one of all, because, by training the children to accept these other monopolies [and] never question authority. [interview 2003] by Tom Valentine

Are mobile phones wiping out our bees?

    http://news.independent.co.uk/environment/wildlife/article2449968.ece

Geoffrey Lean and Harriet Shawcross – The Independent April 15, 2007

"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."

    – Albert Einstien

It seems like the plot of a particularly far-fetched horror film. But some scientists suggest that our love of the mobile phone could cause massive food shortages, as the world's harvests fail.

They are putting forward the theory that radiation given off by mobile phones and other hi-tech gadgets is a possible answer to one of the more bizarre mysteries ever to happen in the natural world - the abrupt disappearance of the bees that pollinate crops. Late last week, some bee-keepers claimed that the phenomenon - which started in the US, then spread to continental Europe - was beginning to hit Britain as well.

The theory is that radiation from mobile phones interferes with bees' navigation systems, preventing the famously homeloving species from finding their way back to their hives. Improbable as it may seem, there is now evidence to back this up.

Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) occurs when a hive's inhabitants suddenly disappear, leaving only queens, eggs and a few immature workers, like so many apian Mary Celestes. The vanished bees are never found, but thought to die singly far from home. The parasites, wildlife and other bees that normally raid the honey and pollen left behind when a colony dies, refuse to go anywhere near the abandoned hives.

The alarm was first sounded last autumn, but has now hit half of all American states. The West Coast is thought to have lost 60 per cent of its commercial bee population, with 70 per cent missing on the East Coast.

CCD has since spread to Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece. And last week John Chapple, one of London's biggest bee-keepers, announced that 23 of his 40 hives have been abruptly abandoned.

Other apiarists have recorded losses in Scotland, Wales and north-west England, but the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs insisted: "There is absolutely no evidence of CCD in the UK."

The implications of the spread are alarming. Most of the world's crops depend on pollination by bees. Albert Einstein once said that if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left".

No one knows why it is happening. Theories involving mites, pesticides, global warming and GM crops have been proposed, but all have drawbacks.

German research has long shown that bees' behaviour changes near power lines.

    bee_1027.jpg

Now a limited study at Landau University has found that bees refuse to return to their hives when mobile phones are placed nearby. Dr Jochen Kuhn, who carried it out, said this could provide a "hint" to a possible cause.

Dr George Carlo, who headed a massive study by the US government and mobile phone industry of hazards from mobiles in the Nineties, said: "I am convinced the possibility is real."

    The case against handsets

Evidence of dangers to people from mobile phones is increasing. But proof is still lacking, largely because many of the biggest perils, such as cancer, take decades to show up.

Most research on cancer has so far proved inconclusive. But an official Finnish study found that people who used the phones for more than 10 years were 40 per cent more likely to get a brain tumour on the same side as they held the handset.

Equally alarming, blue-chip Swedish research revealed that radiation from mobile phones killed off brain cells, suggesting that today's teenagers could go senile in the prime of their lives.

Studies in India and the US have raised the possibility that men who use mobile phones heavily have reduced sperm counts. And, more prosaically, doctors have identified the condition of "text thumb", a form of RSI from constant texting.

Professor Sir William Stewart, who has headed two official inquiries, warned that children under eight should not use mobiles and made a series of safety recommendations, largely ignored by ministers.

    Dear sucandra-ji dandavata,

Making such offensive statements, by copying the offensiveness from “Prabupada”, it doesn’t legitimate this dogma introduced by him.

We should somehow humbly try to follow Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's example, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was a great scholar. There is no doubt of it. But in spite of His becoming a great scholar, He says, “My Guru Mahārāja saw Me a great fool”.

Even one is very great scholar, he has to abide by the decision of his spiritual master.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami: So the Māyāvādī sannyāsīs everywhere, they are very proud of their Sanskrit education. Sometimes people ask our students whether you have learned Sanskrit. But Kṛṣṇa consciousness understanding does not depend on Sanskrit scholarship. That is the teaching of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He said to the Māyāvādī sannyāsī Prakāśānanda Sarasvatī that “My Guru Mahārāja studied Me as a great fool.” Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu,

presenting Himself. He was a learned scholar, undoubtedly, very learned scholar. In His youthful age He was known as Nimāi Paṇḍita. This paṇḍita title, especially the brāhmaṇas are given this paṇḍita title. But He was specifically known as Paṇḍita, Nimāi Paṇḍita, very good scholar. And He defeated the Keśava Kashmiri, a great, renowned scholar of Kashmir. The Kashmir country is mentioned in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam also. It is a very old country. And there were many learned scholars. And one scholar came to Navadvīpa to defeat the paṇḍitas, the learned scholars of Navadvīpa, but he was defeated by a young boy, Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Nimāi Paṇḍita was at that time only sixteen years old. But He defeated only in composition, Sanskrit composition. The Sanskrit composition, there is rules and regulations. So you know the story. He pointed out many defects in the verses composed by the Keśava Kashmiri. So he was defeated.

So Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was a great scholar. There is no doubt of it. But in spite of His becoming a great scholar, He is presenting Himself as a great fool. He says, “My Guru Mahārāja saw Me a great…” Even one is very great scholar, he has to abide by the decision of his spiritual master. Even one is very great scholar, and if his spiritual master says that “You are a great fool,” he should accept it. This is called full surrender. For example, I’ll give you a practical… My Guru Mahārāja was very great scholar, and his Guru Mahārāja, from literary point of view, he could not even sign his name, Gaura-kiśora dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja. And Bhaktivinoda

Ṭhākura asked Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura to accept Gaura-kiśora dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja as his, as his spiritual master, that “You go and take your initiation from Gaura-kiśora dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja.”

So he thought that “I am a great scholar, and I am son of a magistrate, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, and great Vaiṣṇava. He’ll be very much pleased to accept me.” Of course, he was very much pleased.

But in the beginning he refused. He refused. Because… Of course, that is only show. He was not proud. Just to teach us. Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī explained that “I was little proud. So I was

thrice refused by Guru Mahārāja,” although he was the only disciple. So the scholarship is not a qualification of becoming devotee. That is Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s teaching. Scholarship may help, but it is not necessary. Real necessary is that one should be humble and meek and follow the instruction of the spiritual master. This is real qualification.

    tṛṇād api sunīcena

    taror api sahiṣṇunā

    amāninā mānadena

    kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ

    [Cc. adi 17.31]

Because bhakti does not depend on any material qualification. Bhakti is different subject matter. Aprakṛta. Adhokṣaja. Sa vai pumsām paro dharmo yato bhaktir adhokṣaje [sB 1.2.6]

So that is being taught, that… Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu explained His position to Prakāśānanda Sarasvatī that “My Guru Mahārāja, studying My character, he found Me a great fool. Therefore he advised Me to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra.” The idea is that by studying Vedānta-sūtra, by becoming a very great scholar, to achieve transcendental position of devotional service is very, very difficult nowadays. That is Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s gift. But whatever you may be, if you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra offenselessly, then everything is achieved, without any difficulty. Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, ihā haite sarva-siddhi haibe tomāra. Sarva-siddhi.

Siddhi means perfection. Siddhi means perfection. So Caitanya Mahāprabhu advised… That is His propaganda. Ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanam bhava-māha-dāvāgni-nirvāpaṇam sarvātmanam param

vijāyate śrī-kṛṣṇa-sankīrtanam [Cc. Antya 20.12]. That is Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s… So His Guru Mahārāja advised Him… He presented Himself like that to Prakāśānanda Sarasvatī. Presenting Himself as fool means that the general mass of people, they are not fit for becoming very great Sanskrit scholar or very good philosopher or student of Vedānta philo… That is not possible in this age, in Kali-yuga. Mass of people, they are almost śūdra. Śūdra-sambhava.

  4. April 2007: The deadliest month of the Iraq occupation</BIG>

We're more than a third of the way through April now, and I haven't seen this actually reported in the media anywhere, but unfortunately this has been the deadliest month for the U.S.-led coalition forces -- on an average daily basis -- of the four-year occupation of Iraq.

So far, according to icasualties.org, 47 American troops and six British soliders have died in the 11 days of April so far -- an average of 4.82 coalition deaths every day. And -- looking at the month to month statistics -- no month has been that high since Baghdad fell on April 9, 2003.

Not even November 2004, when the U.S. beseiged Fallujah in the days following President Bush's re-election -- the daily fatality average that month was 4.7. In April 2004, when radical Shiites loyal to Muqtada al-Sadr were up in arms, the average was 4.67 coalition deaths per day. Ironically, al-Sadr's henchmen had been sitting out the recent fighting, but just yesterday the radical cleric renewed his pressure, at least verbally, on the Americans. Does that mean things get even worse before they get better?

Surprised you haven't seen anything about this in the media? You shouldn't be. Other than John McCain's Baghdad market fiasco, very little news out of Iraq -- not even increased deaths of American fighting men and women -- can cut through the clutter, and you know what I'm talking about.

You know all about Don Imus getting the MSNBC heave-ho ("ho"-heave?) but did you know that Spec. Clifford A. Spohn III of Albuquerque was killed Monday when his unit was hit with indirect fire while working at an Iraqi police station in Karmah.

You know that those Duke lacrosse guys were exonerated, but did you see any news this week about the two Fort Benning soldiers who were killed in Baghdad on Easter Sunday -- Staff Sgt. Harrison Brown, 31, of Pritchard, Ala., and Pfc. David N. Simmons, 20, of Kokomo, Ind., who died when their unit came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.

And everyone knows that Larry Birkhead is THE FATHER, but did you know that Staff Sgt. Jesse L. Williams, 25, of Santa Rosa, Calif., also died on Easter in Balad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from small arms fire while conducting combat operations in Baqubah.

Meanwhile, Congress and the president are trying to figure out what to do next in Iraq, and the fact that more troops than ever are dying needs to be part of the narrative. Does it automatically mean that Bush's "surge" is a failure? Not necessarily -- you could argue that the increased military activity of Bush's escalation also means a short-term rise in casualties, but as part of a long-term plan for that greater good.

But that greater good isn't here. While a few pockets have seen a slight improvement, the overall prognosis for Iraq is worse than ever:

BAGHDAD (AP) - The international Red Cross released a report that found the situation for civilians in Iraq is ``ever-worsening,'' even though security in some places has improved as a result of stepped-up efforts by U.S.-led multinational forces....
Also Wednesday, Pierre Kraehenbuehl, director of operations of the International Committee of the Red Cross, or ICRC, said that thousands of bodies lay unclaimed in mortuaries, with family members either unaware that they are there or too afraid to go to recover them.

Medical professionals also have been fleeing the country after cases where their colleagues were killed or abducted, the neutral agency said.

No wonder that a plurality of Americans would prefer that Congress send a Bush a bill with no money for Iraq if he won't agree to a timetable for withdrawal. Just think how the public will feel when they learn that this is the deadliest month of the occupation.

  5. Somehow it looks like their is some misunderstanding that devotees who go on to consider Srila Prabhupada as their spiritual master are according Tripurari Swami deviating from Prabhupada's teachings. Although it is fact that Prabhupada clearly stated that he doesnt die, some people consider him as dead and gone.

    Q. You wrote in Sanga (Faith in Sri Guru) that candidates who had been approved by Srila Prabhupada's rtvik representatives when he was physically present were Srila Prabhupada's disciples, even if initiation rites were performed after his departure. All considered it appears to me that Srila Prabhupada evolved an entirely new system for initiation, one that did not require his physical presence. Therefore why would his position as initiating guru end at his physical departure? Doesn't your statement coupled with the report that Srila Prabhupada said that rtviks could be replaced suggest that he was speaking of a long-term initiation system, one personally designed by him to initiate disciples into his Iskcon organization after his physical departure?

    150.150._home_Domain_vina.cc_www_news_images_stories_2007_January_swamitripurari.jpg

    A. Srila Prabhupada did not evolve or create an entirely new system of initiation. He simply adjusted some of the details of Gaudiya Vaisnava initiation in consideration of unprecedented circumstances--those of worldwide preaching. The essential commitment of surrender to Sri Guru, and the central elements of initiation (vows, mantras, names) remained the same throughout his preaching years. Neither did he intend to personally initiate new devotees via delegated representatives (rtviks) after his physical departure and onward into perpetuity. This strange notion would set Srila Prabhupada and his institution apart from every other authorized Vaisnava devotional lineage, which is something that he would never do. In a conversation that took place on May 28, 1977, Srila Prabhupada did say that after his departure his governing commissioners could be replaced. Indeed, in that conversation he said that anyone who is deviating should be replaced. If he said the same regarding his rtvik representatives, it would still have nothing to do with continuing his line of disciplic succession (parampara). Why? Because rtviks are not themselves gurus even in the presence of the guru they represent, and after the guru departs the rtviks service of officiating on his behalf--rather than being enhanced--is terminated. Overall, the words of the guru must be understood in light of the scriptural conclusions (siddhanta) he or she represents. If our guru appears to say something that is a departure from authorized Gaudiya Vaisnava siddhanta, we must look beneath the surface for his actual intention, one that will be in concert with siddhanta. Bhagavad-gita says, evam parampara praptam. Parampara means one guru after another, thus scripture tells us that there must be another guru after the departure of Srila Prabhupada. If at that time none of his disciples are qualified to serve as gurus, then new devotees must look elsewhere for guidance and initiation. When such devotees find a qualified guru, they have in effect found Srila Prabhupada's line in a dynamic sense.

Krsna says in Srimad-Bhagavatam, acarya mam vijaniyat: "One should know the acarya as my very self." This means that ultimately Krsna is the guru. He is the spiritual potency in all gurus and when one guru departs, Krsna empowers another to do the work of delivering the fallen souls. This is the standard, scripturally correct understanding of how guru-parampara functions. Srila Prabhupada emphasized that his credibility rested in the fact that he did not concoct anything new but rather that he strictly followed our guru-parampara. The concocted rtvik idea of parampara has no precedent whatsoever in Gaudiya Vaisnavism. It is simply the result of gurus after Srila Prabhupada misbehaving, mixed with misplaced emotion. No other Gaudiya Vaisnava mission is troubled by this deviant notion, only Iskcon.

    Q. In 1976 I met Srila Prabhupada and surrendered my life and soul to him, knowing in my heart that he was (and is) my eternal guru. His inspiration enabled me to regularly chant, follow the principles of Krsna consciousness, and work hard for the next ten years as an Iskcon devotee. I was not able to take formal initiation from him before he passed away but rather was initiated by an Iskcon zonal guru whom I didn't even choose. My initiating guru later fell down from Krsna consciousness altogether. Discouraged by the political atmosphere, I left Iskcon feeling that I had been cheated. Now when I visit Iskcon, if I express my feelings that Srila Prabhupada is my eternal guru I am treated like an outcast and told to get a new guru. At this point I am bewildered over this whole issue, have put aside regular chanting, and am ready to just give up. Will you give me some guidance?

    A. The leaders of Srila Prabhupada's Iskcon have done a great disservice to him by promoting numerous unqualified gurus over the last thirty years. They have also vilified a number of qualified gurus, who while having an influence on Iskcon are not members. In doing so they have allowed institutional sentiment to overshadow siddhanta, and this in turn has opened the door for the newly concocted rtvik conception of guru-parampara. Although Iskcon officially opposes this conception, it is Iskcon guru misbehavior that spawned it and apasiddhanta on both sides that keeps it alive. You are one of the many casualties of this quagmire.

It is interesting to note that your particular circumstance requires careful consideration, consideration in which, arguably, sentiment may be given more weight than law. Yet according to you, Iskcon has only coldly cited the law. Seeing and serving one's guru, his entering one's heart, and then suddenly departing before granting one diksa--in my opinion this constitutes special circumstances. Add to this the abuse that you allege followed on the part of Srila Prabhupada's so-called representatives and the case becomes even more extraordinary. Knowing only what you have told me and based upon my own experience of similar circumstances that others were placed in, I would simply encourage you to continue your practice with your focus on Srila Prabhupada even though he did not initiate you. Indeed, there is no harm for you to think of yourself as Srila Prabhupada's disciple and much good could come from that.

However, I would add one important caveat to that. My advice is that you should be open to finding a highly qualified siksa guru to help you in your practice--one in whom you have natural affection and faith. The help of a siksa guru is highly recommended in scripture, and I know that after Srila Prabhupada's departure I was benefited immensely by the siksa and kindness of Pujyapada B.R. Sridhara Deva Goswami. By your candor regarding the state of your practice, you have underscored my point. It is spiritual practice that is all-important--discipline combined with the grace of Sri Guru makes one a disciple.

  6. Dear Anandi, _/\ò_

surely when presenting a personal opinion it should be respected, but when it comes to follow the teachings of the Brahma-Madhava-Gaudiya-Sampradaya there is no such thing as respecting personal opinions, au contraire, personal opinions are somehow kicked out, or as Prabhupada says: "This may be astonishing to foolish critics, but DVD is one of the functions of a Krishna conscious society".

Daivi varnashrama was the order of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Maharaja and Prabhupada repeats the same. Since you are a disciple of Srila Prabhupada you clearly reject the teachings of your guru.

[...]Sometimes we are criticized because although I am a sannyāsī, I have taken part in the marriage ceremonies of my disciples. It must be explained, however, that since we have started a Kṛṣṇa conscious society and since a human society must also have ideal marriages, to correctly establish an ideal society we must take part in marrying some of its members, although we have taken to the path of renunciation. This may be astonishing to persons who are not very interested in establishing daiva-varṇāśrama, the transcendental system of four social orders and four spiritual orders. Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta SarasvatīṬhākura, however, wanted to reestablish daiva-varṇāśrama. In daiva-varṇāśrama there cannot be acknowledgement of social status according to birthright because in Bhagavad-gītā it is said that the determining considerations are guṇa and karma, one's qualities and work. It is this daiva-varṇāśrama that should be established all over the world to continue a perfect society for Kṛṣṇa consciousness. This may be astonishing to foolish critics, but it is one of the functions of a Kṛṣṇa conscious society. Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 5.1.24 purport

J C Madhuswamy (JDU) and others who sought to move an adjournment motion on the affairs of the ISKCON, urged the government not to renew the agreement it had entered into for providing mid-day meal scheme to school children.

ISKCON caters to five lakh school children under its Akshaya Patre Programme in the state.

Madhuswamy, displaying the advertisements displayed by ISKCON in Europe and USA for raising funds, said it depicted India as a "hungry" country, which denigrated the nation's image.

Besides raising funds from donors, it also secured money at the rate of Rs six per child for providing food, while another NGO Adamya Chentana supplies food to two lakh children at a charge of Rs 3.60 per child.

ISKCON was also into real estate business and it has been building a five star hotel, constructing residential flats, a recreation club and a guest house, Madhuswamy charged and asked "Does ISKCON need all these ".

Far too many devotees sing praises of demonic leaders and thus become implicated in the demonic acts.

This is of course right, nobody speaks up against for example the cheating with paper money. Prabhupada says, without paper money they couldnt pay for all these wars, but still nobody says anything:

..You have no experience. I have got experience. Or some of the

Indians who are present… In 1942, the government created artificial

famine, artificial famine. The government began to purchase. The

poli… That time, the war was going on. So Mr. Churchill’s policy was

that “Keep the people in scarcity, and they will, they’ll voluntarily

come and become soldiers.” That was the policy. “You have no

money. So…, and the another venue is opened. Yes, you become a

soldier. You get so much money.” People, out of poverty, would go

there. That was the policy. So this policy was executed that

government began to purchase rice and, I mean to say, commodities

which are daily necessities. And… Any price, any price they can

offer. Because the currency in their hand. They can print the so-

called papers, hundred dollars, and pay you. And you becomes

satisfied: “Oh, I have got hundred dollars.” But it is a piece of paper.

The cheating is from the government. Why the people will not learn

    how to cheat?

So this is going on. This is called demonic. Demon means for their

own sense satisfaction, they are prepared to do anything wrong. Just

like this Kamsa. Kamsa, the elder brother of Kṛṣṇa’s mother, and as

soon as he heard an omen from the sky that “You rascal Kamsa, you

are taking your brother and sis…, brother-in-law and sister in your

chariot to their home in their marriage ceremony, but you rascal do

not know this sister’s son will kill you.” “Oh, my sister’s son will kill

me?” Immediately caught up sister: “Finish my sister.” Vasudeva saw.

“What nonsense you are doing? You are such a big king. And your

sister, younger sister, and she is married in this auspicious moment.

Why you are killing?” “No, she is the cause of my death.” Then, “Your

sister is not the cause of your death. Her son. That’s all right. But I

promise, all the sons will be delivered to you.” Because it is the

husband’s duty to give protection. So someway or other, he saved

    the situation.

So this is the demon. He did not consider that “Here is my poor,

younger sister. She’s just now married. In jubilation she’s going at

her husband’s home. How auspicious ceremony.” And he was

personally driving the chariot. But as soon as he heard that “Oh,

there is danger from my sister,” he did not care anything, no

relationship, no ceremony, no auspicity, nothing. This is demon.

Demon means for his self-interest, he can do anything nons…,

nonsense. That is demon. And demigod means he’ll consider thrice

before doing anything. Just like Arjuna. Arjuna was insulted in so

many ways by the other party, his cousin-brothers. His kingdom was

taken. They were sent to forest for thirteen years. His wife was

insulted. So many things. But still, he was considering, “Whether I

shall kill my kinsmen? The other side, they’re all my brothers,

nephews, brother-in-law. Whether I shall fight and kill them? Kṛṣṇa,

I don’t wish to kill them. Let them enjoy.” This is demigod, In spite of

the other party, aggressor in so many ways, he was thinking. And

here you see Kamsa, simply for the news that in future his sister’s

son will kill him, immediately he was prepared to kill his sister. And

in the marriage ceremony. This is the distinction between demigod

and demon. Just try to understand. A demon has no consideration.

    Quantum Secrets Of Photosynthesis Revealed

<!-- BODY BEGIN -->Science Daily Through photosynthesis, green plants and cyanobacteria are able to transfer sunlight energy to molecular reaction centers for conversion into chemical energy with nearly 100-percent efficiency. Speed is the key – the transfer of the solar energy takes place almost instantaneously so little energy is wasted as heat. How photosynthesis achieves this near instantaneous energy transfer is a long-standing mystery that may have finally been solved.<!-- Originally posted on ScienceDaily 2007-04-12 -->

<!-- IMAGE END -->A study led by researchers with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) and the University of California (UC) at Berkeley reports that the answer lies in quantum mechanical effects. Results of the study are presented in the April 12, 2007 issue of the journal Nature.

“We have obtained the first direct evidence that remarkably long-lived wavelike electronic quantum coherence plays an important part in energy transfer processes during photosynthesis,” said Graham Fleming, the principal investigator for the study. “This wavelike characteristic can explain the extreme efficiency of the energy transfer because it enables the system to simultaneously sample all the potential energy pathways and choose the most efficient one.”

Fleming is the Deputy Director of Berkeley Lab, a professor of chemistry at UC Berkeley, and an internationally acclaimed leader in spectroscopic studies of the photosynthetic process. In a paper entitled, Evidence for wavelike energy transfer through quantum coherence in photosynthetic systems, he and his collaborators report the detection of “quantum beating” signals, coherent electronic oscillations in both donor and acceptor molecules, generated by light-induced energy excitations, like the ripples formed when stones are tossed into a pond.

Electronic spectroscopy measurements made on a femtosecond (millionths of a billionth of a second) time-scale showed these oscillations meeting and interfering constructively, forming wavelike motions of energy (superposition states) that can explore all potential energy pathways simultaneously and reversibly, meaning they can retreat from wrong pathways with no penalty. This finding contradicts the classical description of the photosynthetic energy transfer process as one in which excitation energy hops from light-capturing pigment molecules to reaction center molecules step-by-step down the molecular energy ladder.

“The classical hopping description of the energy transfer process is both inadequate and inaccurate,” said Fleming. “It gives the wrong picture of how the process actually works, and misses a crucial aspect of the reason for the wonderful efficiency.”

Co-authoring the Nature paper with Fleming were Gregory Engel, who was first author, Tessa Calhoun, Elizabeth Read, Tae-Kyu Ahn, Tomáš Man al and Yuan-Chung Cheng, all of whom held joint appointments with Berkeley Lab’s Physical Biosciences Division and the UC Berkeley Chemistry Department at the time of the study, plus Robert Blankenship, from the Washington University in St. Louis.

The photosynthetic technique for transferring energy from one molecular system to another should make any short-list of Mother Nature’s spectacular accomplishments. If we can learn enough to emulate this process, we might be able to create artificial versions of photosynthesis that would help us effectively tap into the sun as a clean, efficient, sustainable and carbon-neutral source of energy.

Towards this end, Fleming and his research group have developed a technique called two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy that enables them to follow the flow of light-induced excitation energy through molecular complexes with femtosecond temporal resolution. The technique involves sequentially flashing a sample with femtosecond pulses of light from three laser beams. A fourth beam is used as a local oscillator to amplify and detect the resulting spectroscopic signals as the excitation energy from the laser lights is transferred from one molecule to the next. (The excitation energy changes the way each molecule absorbs and emits light.)

Fleming has compared 2-D electronic spectroscopy to the technique used in the early super-heterodyne radios, where an incoming high frequency radio signal was converted by an oscillator to a lower frequency for more controllable amplification and better reception. In the case of 2-D electronic spectroscopy, scientists can track the transfer of energy between molecules that are coupled (connected) through their electronic and vibrational states in any photoactive system, macromolecular assembly or nanostructure.

Fleming and his group first described 2-D electronic spectroscopy in a 2005 Nature paper, when they used the technique to observe electronic couplings in the Fenna-Matthews-Olson (FMO) photosynthetic light-harvesting protein, a molecular complex in green sulphur bacteria.

Said Engel, “The 2005 paper was the first biological application of this technique, now we have used 2-D electronic spectroscopy to discover a new phenomenon in photosynthetic systems. While the possibility that photosynthetic energy transfer might involve quantum oscillations was first suggested more than 70 years ago, the wavelike motion of excitation energy had never been observed until now.”

As in the 2005 paper, the FMO protein was again the target. FMO is considered a model system for studying photosynthetic energy transfer because it consists of only seven pigment molecules and its chemistry has been well characterized.

“To observe the quantum beats, 2-D spectra were taken at 33 population times, ranging from 0 to 660 femtoseconds,” said Engel. “In these spectra, the lowest-energy exciton (a bound electron-hole pair formed when an incoming photon boosts an electron out of the valence energy band into the conduction band) gives rise to a diagonal peak near 825 nanometers that clearly oscillates. The associated cross-peak amplitude also appears to oscillate. Surprisingly, this quantum beating lasted the entire 660 femtoseconds.”

Engel said the duration of the quantum beating signals was unexpected because the general scientific assumption had been that the electronic coherences responsible for such oscillations are rapidly destroyed.

“For this reason, the transfer of electronic coherence between excitons during relaxation has usually been ignored,” Engel said. “By demonstrating that the energy transfer process does involve electronic coherence and that this coherence is much stronger than we would ever have expected, we have shown that the process can be much more efficient than the classical view could explain. However, we still don’t know to what degree photosynthesis benefits from these quantum effects.”

Engel said one of the next steps for the Fleming group in this line of research will be to look at the effects of temperature changes on the photosynthetic energy transfer process. The results for this latest paper in Nature were obtained from FMO complexes kept at 77 Kelvin. The group will also be looking at broader bandwidths of energy using different colors of light pulses to map out everything that is going on, not just energy transfer. Ultimately, the idea is to gain a much better understanding how Nature not only transfers energy from one molecular system to another, but is also able to convert it into useful forms.

“Nature has had about 2.7 billion years to perfect photosynthesis, so there are huge lessons that remain for us to learn,” Engel said. “The results we’re reporting in this latest paper, however, at least give us a new way to think about the design of future artificial photosynthesis systems.”

This research was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and by the Miller Institute for Basic Research in Sciences.

  10. Already in 1973 Prabhupada spoke of computer experts but without a good master this education is useless, how true!

"So why they have been described as dog? Dog means he is very

faithful to his master. But if you pass through him without any fault,

he will bark, “Gow! Gow! Gow! Gow!” That is dog’s fault. One

qualification is that he is very faithful to the master, but to the

others, he is inimical always. In your country we have got

experience. They have written, “Beware of dog.” And if you pass, you

are not entering the house, still, unnecessarily, the dog will bark.

Even if he is on the top of veranda corridor, by seeing another

unknown person, he will bark. That is offensive. So that is dog’s

business. And at the present moment the dog is happy only when he

has got a good master. Otherwise dog is not happy. A street dog, he

cannot eat. He has no eating. He has no place. He is lean and thin.

You have seen. But he has got a good master, he is very stout, fatty,

and very expert in barking. (laughter) So this is dog’s qualification.

    He is very faithful.

So at the present moment people are like that. They are being

educated, but technologist or computer expert or this, that, so

many… The father spends so much money. He becomes an expert.

But if he does not get a good master to employ him, he is useless.

He is useless. His technological knowledge will be useless if he does

not get a master. So therefore the modern education system is to

create dogs. He will never be happy unless he gets a good master.

Actually, we are constitutionally all dogs. But we do not know whom

to serve. That is our misunderstanding. Actually, every one of us,

servant. That’s a fact. But we are missing the point, where to engage

ourself in good service. That is Kṛṣṇa. We have to serve. You cannot

avoid this. If you do not serve Kṛṣṇa, then you will have to serve

māyā. That’s all. But you have to serve. So in that respect, if we do

not know who is the best master, then we will have to serve our

senses, our lusty desires. If I do not become servant of Kṛṣṇa, then I

shall become full of desire, to my lusty desires for sex life. I have to

become servant. That is a fact. You cannot become master.

Therefore the most intelligent person is he who knows that “Why

shall I serve my lusty desires? Why not serve Kṛṣṇa?” Because I have

    to serve. This is intelligence."

Which is considered to be the first (vedic) book?

How old is it; who wrote it.

The first living being in this universe is Lord Brahma, who is about 50 years old according calculation on Brahma-loka (15 Billion of our years are two days of Lord Brahma) - he spoke the Brahma-samhita, which at first didnt had to be written down since writing down is not required on Brahma-loka. But there're of course vedic books from other universes which existed before our universe was created - take Bhagavad-gita, this lila of Krishna and Arjuna is eternal.

    Iraq: An ever-worsening crisis

    http://www.icrc.org/web/eng/siteeng0.nsf/html/iraq-news-110407

Geneva (ICRC) – In a report issued today in Geneva, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) expresses alarm about the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Iraq and calls for urgent action to better protect civilians against the continuing violence.

The report entitled Civilians without protection – The ever-worsening crisis in Iraq deplores the daily acts of violence such as shootings, bombings, abductions, murders and military operations that directly target Iraqi civilians in clear violation of international humanitarian law and other applicable legal standards. While it argues that the current crisis directly or indirectly affects all Iraqis, the report focuses on the problems of vulnerable groups such as the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis forced to flee their homes and the families that host them.

The report documents the alarming state of Iraqi health-care facilities suffering critical shortages of staff and supplies. Many doctors, nurses and patients no longer dare to go to hospitals and clinics because they are targeted or threatened. The report also underlines that much of Iraq's vital water, sewage and electricity infrastructure is in a critical condition owing to lack of maintenance and because security constraints have impeded repair work.

"The suffering that Iraqi men, women and children are enduring today is unbearable and unacceptable. Their lives and dignity are continuously under threat," said the ICRC's director of operations, Pierre Krähenbühl. "The ICRC calls on all those who can influence the situation on the ground to act now to ensure that the lives of ordinary people are spared and protected. This is an obligation under international humanitarian law for both States and non-State actors."

Thanks to its close partnership with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society and its recognized status as a neutral and independent organization, the ICRC has been able to supply food and other items essential to the survival of tens of thousands of vulnerable Iraqis. It is currently providing monthly emergency aid for over 60,000 people, with the Iraqi Red Crescent handling the bulk of the distributions. Over the past year the ICRC has also delivered medical supplies sufficient to treat 3,000 war-wounded patients to hospitals across Iraq. ICRC delegates continue to visit thousands of detainees to monitor their situation and treatment and to help them and their families to stay in touch through family visits or by exchanging Red Cross messages.

Well let's face reality, what is fact - we have here presently throughout 20 European countries about 5000 devotees who were forced to leave ISKCON do to like epedemic falling down Vaishnava leaders and started to live on their own without sadhusanga, basically because of people who preached the same what you're saying: temple is pure transcendence - nothing else is required. May be you get your facts straight and admit that what you try to teach didnt work out. Instead we have since 30 years fallen gurus, fallen GBCs, fallen sannyasis, fallen TPs. What more proof do you need? Now they introduced 17 year old TPs, people who clearly will leave after a short period of time. But what is your message? Simply to go on with the same procedure: artificially jump to the tenth Canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam and after 3 years again fall back into maya. This is pretty much not Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's in every town and village program. Hope you agree on this.

I just heard five minutes ago [4:30 PM Mayapur time April 10] that the post mortem was completed today in Krishnanagar and the cause of death has been ascertained as heart attack.

Some formalities have to be cleared re: contacting any possible relatives before the body can be released, so we don't know at this time exactly when it can be cremated. It may take several days to get it released. We will keep everyone updated as things progress.

  17. The on and on repeated phrase by modern scientist is, evolution had 1 million years to develop all this biological diversity on planet earth.

This seems their only comment after discovering all these overwhelming wonders of nature. They know clearly that just one single living cell's functioning works more complex than a Boeing 747 airplane, still they dont consider to acknowledge that the creation is just too perfect in order to make all this develop just by uncontrolled mechanical accidents.

At least they explore all these details, like an ocean turtle which hatches in Australia and enters the Pacific Ocean in Australia covers a distance of 15,000 miles, emerges in California and after 20 years comes back at exactly the same place where it was born to dig out a turtle nest - unfallible navigation system - all created out of nothing by chance.

Poor scientists, why the are so stupid? Krishna is giving them now all these instruments to find things out which are real tiny but still they play the possum. Now they discovered that bumblebees actually couldnt fly according normal calculation, they are too heavy. High speed cameras revealed the bumblebees till now secret wing beat: this heavy insect with such small wings creates such a clever swirling of air that it can fly perfectly even carrying lots of airfreight like farina.

We are ready for take off,” the flight attendant says pleasantly over the intercom. Jet engines begin to roar. You feel a subtle jolt, and the plane begins to rumble down the runway. You grab your seat in nervous anticipation of the unprecedented experience you are about to undertake. Once on track, the plane quickly gains speed. Your stomach drops in awkward exhilaration as the plane lifts from the ground, and you watch the landscape grow smaller and smaller as you float above the earth into a white sea of clouds.

Sound familiar? Unless you are prone to motion sickness or terrified of flying, the aforementioned account is probably reminiscent of your first experience aboard an airplane. Did you ever wonder what makes the airplane’s flight possible? Physicists and engineers understand this phenomenon very well. They have studied the plane’s sophisticated airfoil design. The wing’s round leading edge and sharp trailing edge, powered by 63,300+ pounds of engine thrust, produce an effective lift for the plane.

Now, imagine that there were no engines with which to power the airplane. What would it take for the plane to fly? For an Airplane to fly on its own without engines is impossible. And that brings us to the case of the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, scientists say, the bumblebee should remain grounded, just like the engineless jumbo jet. Considering that the basic equation governing the aerodynamics of flying insects and airplanes is supposed to be the same, there is no apparent explanation as to how bumblebees can fly. Bumblebee wings produce more lift than predicted by conventional aerodynamic analyses. The reciprocating motion of the wings makes the aerodynamics incredibly unsteady and difficult to analyze.

Bumblebees are hairy, robust bees, ranging from ½ inch to 1 inch in size. Bumblebee wings are very small in relation to their bodies. An airplane built with the same proportions of a bumblebee would never get off the ground, but bumblebees are not like airplanes. Rather, they are more like helicopters with flexible blades. A moving airfoil generates much more lift than a rigid one. However, the ostrich can create a moving airfoil and, yet, never lift from the ground. Thus, scientists have been in a quandary as to how the bees generate lift.

Theoretical physicists applied to the bumblebee the theories that are effective in the flight of 747s, and determined that the bees should not be able to take flight. This does not “prove” that bumblebees cannot fly; it simply means that physicists have the equation wrong. Ivars Peterson attempted to defend scientists by saying: “The real issue is not that scientists are wrong, but that there’s a crucial difference between a thing and a mathematical model of the thing.” This seemingly ambiguous statement, however, was followed by a valid reason: “A certain simple mathematical model wasn’t adequate or appropriate for describing the flight of a bumblebee” (1997). Indeed, there is nothing simple about the flight of the bumblebee.

Insect flight in general has been a mystery to scientists for many years. This difficulty traces back as far as a 1934 book by French entomologist Antoine Magnan, who referred to a calculation made by engineer André Sainte-Lague. His conclusion was based on the fact that “the maximum possible lift produced by air craft wings as small as a bumblebee’s and traveling as slowly as a bee in flight would be much less than the weight of a bee” (Dickinson, 2001).

Since 1934, engineers have employed aerodynamic theory to design Boeing 747s and stealth fighters. These aircraft are quite complex, yet their function is based upon steady-state principles. Insects disrupt this principle because they flap and rotate their wings at a rate of 300 to 400 beats per second—over ten times faster than the firing rate of the nervous system! The bumblebee achieves such fast wing speeds by simply contracting and relaxing muscles in its abdomen. Additionally, variations in stroke patterns cause differing aerodynamic forces that disconcert mathematical analyses. Insect wings do not flap like doors on simple hinges. Rather, the tip of each wing traces a thin oval at a steep angle. Also, the wings “flip” during each beat: The topside of the wing faces up during the down stroke, and down during the upstroke.

Animal mechanics specialist Charlie Ellington, from the University of Cambridge in England, discovered something that seemed to solve the puzzle. He learned that the extra lift was generated by a vortex traveling along the leading edge of the insect’s wing. Researchers Michael Dickinson and James Birch, from the University of California at Berkeley, had contrary findings. In the science journal Nature, they shared their research concerning the extra aerodynamic lift created by bumblebees. They built a largely scaled model of a fruit fly, and observed its flight in a tank of mineral oil. They simulated a tiny, real fruit fly flying in air—a much thinner medium. Professor Dickinson said: “Based on these experiments, we concluded that the [Cambridge] hypothesis cannot explain the attachment of the vortex through the stroke” (Macphee, 2001).

Ellington’s conclusion nevertheless triggered a quest for an “unsteady function” equation that could explain the superior performance of flapping wings. Distribution of velocities and pressures within a fluid is governed by what are known as the Navier-Stokes equations, which were formulated in the early nineteenth century. Ellington’s findings revealed that the flight of the bumblebee could not be solved through virtue of the Navier-Stokes equations alone. The motions of the bumblebee’s wings are too complex to formulate an exact equation to characterize the aerodynamics of its flight.

In attempts to solve the mysteries of insect flight, scientists made enlarged scale models of bumblebee wings. These models produced viable results by combining the two essential forces in a fluid—a pressure force produced by fluid inertia, and a shear force caused by fluid viscosity. Professor Dickinson reported new findings of his own in 2001 as a result of building upon the theories of Ellington that he previously had attempted to refute. In his study published in Scientific American (“Solving the Mystery of Insect Flight”), Dickinson attributed the flight of the bumblebee to the phenomena of delayed stall, wake capture, and rotational circulation.

Delayed stall occurs when an aircraft’s wing cuts through the air at too steep of an angle. Vortices created by airplanes usually leave behind a pestering turbulence in the slipstream. However, insects require these vortices to remain in flight. A vortex is a rotating flow of fluid, such as occurs in a draining bathtub. When proceeding at shallow angles, the air splits at the front of the wing and flows smoothly in two streams along the upper and lower surfaces. The upper flow travels faster, resulting in a lower pressure above the wing. This draws the wing upward, producing lift. The first stage of stall initially increases the lift because of a brief flow structure called a leading-edge vortex. This type of vortex forms directly above and behind the wing’s leading edge. Airflow in the vortex is extremely fast, and the resulting low pressure adds substantial lift.

Dickinson’s findings seem to be in harmony with the experimental data recorded by physicist Jane Wang of Cornell University, who wrote:

The old bumblebee myth simply reflected our poor understanding of unsteady viscous fluid dynamics. Unlike fixed-wing aircraft with their steady, almost inviscid (without viscosity) flow dynamics, insects fly in a sea of vortices, surrounded by tiny eddies and whirlwinds that are created when they move their wings (as quoted in Segelken, 2000, parenthetical item in orig.).

In addition to delayed stall, Dickinson discovered that the wings generated short-lived strong forces at the beginning and end of each stroke that could not be explained by the stall. These force peaks occurred during stroke reversal, when the wing decelerates and rapidly rotates, suggesting that the rotation itself might be responsible. Dickinson illustrated the idea of rotational circulation by using a tennis ball. A tennis ball hit with backspin pulls air faster over the top, causing the ball to rise, whereas a topspin will pull air faster underneath, causing the ball to sink. Dickinson concluded that flapping wings develop significant lift by rotational circulation.

Finally, Dickinson discovered that wake capture—the collision of the wing with the swirling wake of the previous wing stroke—assists in the flight of insects. Each stroke of the wing leaves behind a complex of vortices. When the wing reverses direction, it passes back through this churning air. A wake contains energy lost from the insect to the air, so wake capture provides a way for the insect to recover energy.

Scientists still do not know every intricacy involved in the flight of bumblebees and other insects. Scientists hope to learn more from the complex wings of the bumblebee in order to apply the knowledge to aircraft. Engineers can design great aircraft by patterning their work after the Great Architect—He who builds all (Hebrews 3:4). God put so much obvious and careful planning into the tiny wing of the bumblebee—and that is only a minute fraction of the awesome Universe He decisively designed.

Mightier than the nuclear bomb, the Lie is Satan's most powerful weapon. The bomb merely devastates. The Lie steals souls. It enlists millions of naive people to Satan's cause.

"God's chosen people" have been Satan's favorite targets. He slaughtered them in the Holocaust and then, with diabolical irony, had them inflict similar atrocities on the Palestinian people in the "Nakba" ("Cataclysm") As I will show later, without the Holocaust there could not have been a Nakba.

Satan's agents on planet earth are the Illuminati, the highest rung of Freemasonry. The Illuminati represent an occult conspiracy against God and mankind consisting of an alliance of German Jewish bankers, Jesuits and the aristocratic families of Europe (especially England) and America. The Illuminati is the force behind British and American Imperialism, Nazism, Communism, Zionism, Feminism and the New World Order.

Satan's agents have taken control of the Jewish people through two central Lies concerning the Holocaust and the 1948 "War of Independence." Israel was not created to give Jews a homeland because of anti-Semitism. Rather, the Holocaust probably took place to force Jews to create Israel. The Illuminati want it as capital of their New World Order. The blatant Masonic symbolism in the Rothschild-built Israeli Supreme Court is a blatant tip-off.

The second Lie is that in 1948, Israelis faced another Holocaust at the hands of blood thirsty Arab armies. Jews are taught that David-like, the Israelis defeated Goliath .

I will deal with this second Lie first. Aggressors always conjure up a peril to make ordinary people fight and die.

    THE "PHONY WAR"

According to Israeli historian Ilan Pappe,1948 was not a war but a pretext for the expulsion of a million mostly defenseless Palestinians from their ancestral homes, orchards, fields and businesses. ("The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine," 2006)

The neighboring states did not constitute a threat and the Zionist leadership knew it. The Palestinians did not flee willingly as Jews are taught, but were driven out.

The British and UN were accomplices in this partial genocide. With 75,000 soldiers present, the British permitted the massacres and pillage in spite of their promise in the Balfour Declaration to uphold Palestinian rights.

The UN ceded to 600,000 Jews a territory containing one million Palestinians, leaving them at the mercy of David Ben Gurion who said, "Only a state with at least 80% Jews is a viable and stable state." (Pappe, p.48) Eighty-nine percent of the cultivated land in the UN designated Jewish state belonged to Palestinians. (30)

General Sir John Bagot Glubb, the British chief the (Jordanian) Arab Legion called 1948 "a phony war." Like most wars it was orchestrated. The leader of Arab forces, King Abdullah of Jordan, had a secret deal with the Zionists to offer only token resistance in return for the West Bank and East Jerusalem. In addition, the English controlled the Arab armies and curtailed supplies.

Far from "a rag tag group of defenders", Israel had 50,000 soldiers, half of whom had served in the British army. It had a small air force, navy, tanks, armoured cars and heavy artillery. Facing them were the real "rag tag defenders," perhaps 10,000 poorly trained and equipped Palestinian paramilitary outfits and volunteers from the Arab world. (44)

Despite rhetoric from Arab capitals, there was never any chance of driving the Jews into the sea. The Palestinians were passive and underestimated the danger. They had lived under Ottoman and British rule, and somehow would manage under the Jewish regime. Many villages made "non-aggression pacts" with the Jews.

In March 1948 Ben Gurion told the Jewish Agency Executive: "I believe the majority of the Palestinian masses accept the partition as a fait accompli...[they] do not want to fight us." (61)

The Arab Legion represented the only serious opposition but was used only to repulse the Zionists when they reneged on their bargain and attacked the Old City of Jerusalem.

The other Arab nations were so feeble that the Zionists occupied Southern Lebanon and expelled Arabs from there. On May 24, 1948, David Ben Gurion did not sound like the leader of a beleaguered people when he confided in his diary: "We will establish a Christian state in Lebanon, the southern border of which will be the Litani river. We will break Transjordan, bomb Amman and destroy its army, and then Syria falls, and if Egypt will still continue to fight, we will bombard Port Said, Alexandria and Cairo." (144)

Yes, the Palestinians did attack some convoys and isolated Jewish settlements at considerable loss of Jewish life. These attacks played into the hands of the Zionists who always portray acts of resistance as aggression and anti-Semitism.

    THE NAKBA

Arabic speaking, Ilan Pappe interviewed survivors in Palestinian refugee camps. He compared their accounts to those in the IDF Archives and to the accounts of Jewish leaders.

Over 200 Arab villages were destroyed before a regular Arab soldier set foot in Palestine. Their presence did nothing to deter the documented ethnic cleansing program "Plan D" prepared well in advance. (82) A detailed inventory of all Palestinian settlements and property had been made. (Often the unwary Palestinians extended hospitality to the takers of this macabre "census.")

The procedure was carried out according to the Plan. The Zionists attacked Palestinian villages at night and dynamited houses while residents slept inside. Then they rounded up males between age 10 and 50 and shot them or sent them to prison camps. The women, children and elders were made to leave. Eventually about 750,000 ended up in refugee camps in Gaza, the West Bank or neighboring countries. There were many instances of rape and plunder.

In the big cities like Jerusalem, Jaffa and Haifa, the Palestinian districts were shelled and people terrorized and killed. Altogether, 530 of about 1000 Palestinian villages were physically demolished. About a dozen cities and towns were also emptied. Some villages had forged economic or personal ties with the Jews and escaped this fate. Many of these "deals" were not honored by the Zionists.

Dier Yassin was bad but the events that unfolded October 28 1948 in the village of Dawaymeh between Beersheba and Hebron were even worse. I cite Pappe: "Venturing into the village the next day the Muktar (Hassan Mahmoud Ihdeib) beheld with horror the piles of dead bodies in the mosque—with many more strewn about in the street—men, women and children, among them his own father....455 people were missing among them around 170 children and women. The Jewish soldiers who took part also reported horrific scenes, babies whose skulls were cracked open, women raped or burned alive in houses, and men stabbed to death. These were...eye-witness accounts sent to [israeli] High Command within a few days of the event." (197)

    THE HOLOCAUST

The day before a Palestinian village was attacked, Israeli political officers (like Soviet commissars) would incite the troops with a talk about the Holocaust. The Palestinians were portrayed as Nazis and the necessity of a Jewish homeland was emphasized.

The Zionists used the Holocaust to get Jews to commit unspeakable crimes against Palestinians and give themselves moral immunity. The whole world watched and said nothing. But were Zionists also partly responsible for the Jewish Holocaust? Did Zionists first do to Jews what they later did to Palestinians?

In 1943 Rabbi Dov Weissmandl of the Jewish Rescue Committee in Slovakia arranged for Nazi officials to stop transports to concentration camps in exchange for $50,000. They in fact stopped transports while waiting for the money.

Weissmandl appealed to the Zionist Jewish Agency HQ in Switzerland for the money and was told Zionists "must turn a deaf ear to the pleas and cries emanating from Eastern Europe" in order to establish the state of Israel.

" Remember this: all the allies have suffered many losses, and if we also do not offer human sacrifices, how can we gain the right to sit at the conference table when the territorial boundaries are reshaped? [israel] Eretz Yisroel will be ours only by paying with blood, but as far as our immediate circle is concerned, ATEM TAJLU. The messenger bearing this letter will supply you with funds for this purpose".

Weismandl interpreted the letter as follows: "The price of Eretz Yisroel is the blood of the men and women, hoary sages, and babes in arms - but not YOUR [Zionist] blood! Let us not spoil this plan by giving the Axis [i.e. Nazis] powers to save Jewish lives. But for you, [Zionist] comrades, I have enclosed carfare for your escape. What a nightmare! The Zionist agent "diplomat" comes to Czechoslovakia and says "Shed your blood cheerfully, for your blood is cheap. But for your blood, the Land (of Israel) will be ours! (MIN HAMETZAR (p. 92) by Rabbi Michael Dov Weissmandl ZT"L Dean of Nitra Yeshiva )

If you don’t think this philosophy actuated the rise of Nazism, anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, you are kidding yourself. I believe Nazism also was a fraud on the German people, just as Zionism is a fraud on Jews.

    CONCLUSION

Today the Nakba continues in Gaza Strip, the West Bank and along the paritition wall. (Some would say 9-11, the War on Terror and Iraq, are also related to the Nakba.)New settlements are being build to strengthen Israeli claims, as "fait accomplis."

The majority of Israelis and their supporters are faced with a moral "fait accompli." Having been deceived about the Holocaust and the "War of Independence", they have participated in a foul moral outrage and built their lives upon Lies. What can they do now?

When you are traveling down the wrong road, there is no use pretending it is the right one. You have to make a U-turn and retrace your steps, the sooner the better.

I believe Zionists should acknowledge the truth and pursue a two-state solution providing apologies and generous restitution to the Palestinians. There should be a limited right of return. This is what they demand of the Germans.

Ilan Pappe is not optimistic. The premeditated attack on Lebanon last July was the last straw. Pappe, a professor at Haifa University, watched his dovish colleagues accept the government rationale. If anything Israelis now are more fanatical than ever. Pappe is leaving Israel to take a position as Chair of History at Exeter University in England.

Pappe is a rare historian: honest, courageous and moral in the true Jewish spirit. He says the Palestianian version of events, denied for so many years, is "fully vindicated" by his research. Israelis and their supporters have entered a moral abyss and need to make a 180-degree turn before they burn in hell, and take the rest of us along. The Illuminati controls the Masonic Israeli leadership. They already have betrayed the Jewish people more than once and could do so again.

There is only one way the human race will flourish in peace: by acknowledging the truth no matter how incriminating it is or painful.

    Editorial – Islamic Services.org April 5, 2007

15 British Sailors, who had no right to be in Middle East at all, were captured by the Iranians while intruding Iran’s territory. From the first day the Iranians treated them in accordance with laws of War and peace as laid down in the Quran.

They were treated with respect as guests, provided good accommodation, food, and all the hospitality that the Islamic tradition demands. Contrary to what they might be urged to say by the British Military now that they are freed, there is no doubt that they were treated with kindness and traditional Islamic hospitality.

No orange jump suits, no barbed wire, no hoods, no electric shocks, no dogs let loose on them, no sodomy, no rape, no wild and threatening statements and no steroid fed soldiers leading them on a leash! Contrast that with Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and Baghram in Afghanistan and you can see which culture is civilised.

Announcing the release of the British Sailors, Ahmedinejad, President of Iran said:

"On the occasion of the birthday of the great prophet (Muhammad) ... and for the occasion of the passing of Christ, I say the Islamic Republic government and the Iranian people — with all powers and legal right to put the soldiers on trial — forgave those 15," he said, referring to the Muslim prophet's birthday on March 30 and the Easter holiday.

"This pardon is a gift to the British people," he said.

Compare that with the utterances and actions of war mongers such as Bush, Blair, Cheney, Netanyahu, Olmert and Sharon. These war mongers have by their words and deeds brought wars, massacres, starvation, rape, torture and hatred to the world. America has been involved in around 100 conflicts since it’s birth (here), Israel has made wars with all it’s neighbours and has murdered tens of thousands of innocent civilians in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. Britain, France, and Russia have caused the deaths of millions of people through their colonialist conquests.

Iran has never invaded any country and neither have the currently American occupied countries, Somalia, Iraq or Afghanistan invaded any other countries

If these wars are to be ended and mankind is to live in peace, the western world will have to listen to former Iranian President Khatami and support his “ dialogue of civilisation”

  20.

    1. Why should be demoniac to tell young devotees to remain monks. Demoniac is to think that you are the enjoyer.

    2. I never said all the young devotees should remain monks.

.......Whenever Jagadisha dasa baba had any difficulty in lila-samarana (remembering the pastimes of the Lord) he sought the favor of the Vaishnavas, or of the raja (the holy dust of Vrindavan). .............

dear Anadi, I said "demoniac" because in the West we don't have the situation of Jagadisha dasa baba who lived in the Holy Dham. If Vaishnava children in the West dont become monks they are enforced to enter kali-yuga society and enforced to associate with all those dangerous entanglements of kail-yuga. If you insist to not install a safety belt called DVD, which enables people to stay in the association of Vaishnavas you just repeat what happened so many times, sending your God given children to kali's slaughterhouse if they are not willing to live like the six goswamis.

Obviously you didnt consider it necessary to carefully study the situation of Vaishnava children in the West past years and how they clearly demand for good material education, good job and marriage although being brought up in Vaishnava families. You suggest to simply reject ones kids and let them enter kali-yuga when they dont agree to become monks. This might be your subjective conviction but in order to fullfill Lord Caitanya's vision of globally spreading the Holy Name we have to think for all the people and not just for our own situation. If people see you can nicely raise your children without being worried what will happen when they are 16 then this is called accepting what is favourable for devotional service. If people see in large scale kids of Vaishnavas turning out to become rejects of their own parents, this you call good preaching and successfully spreading the Holy Name? Please, think according time and circumstance and not in the paradigm of dogmas.

  21.

Look I don't want to hear anything about any Jewish issue - from an anti-semite because that is what you are - you only use these articles because they support your anti-israel position....:eek4:

Somehow you're very wrong here, since I didnt present my own opinion but only quotes of honorable Rabbis and these quotes at full length, not out of context, you cant blame me for what is being said. I actually didnt say anything, only the Rabbis spoke, which you actually called "extremists". So now you foolishly accuse me for what Rabbis say. In sum you actually call Rabbis anti-semite and are blaming them not with logic but name-calling profanity. This is very foolish. Please, be fair, I didnt say one word, just presented quotes with reference.

Besides, at another post, you clearly also insulted Rabbi Moishe Arye Friedman.

It's funny seeing you both dishing it out to each other!

No, I never dished out anything. What you experience as dishing out are the words of Rabbis, not mine. If you consider this as funny, nice for you. But these were not my words, just quotes.

  22. Well, thats just to educate you, if you cant accept, what can be done? May be others can grasp the meaning.

    Zionists Do Not Represent Jews

    http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/zionism/notjews.cfm

From the inception of the Zionist State and particularly in recent times, the impression has been created in the World that there is some connection between the State, which falsely calls itself Israel, and the Jewish people as a whole. Therefore, we who continue to uphold the never-changing tradition of the Jewish people find it proper to again clarify the following points:

    • A Jew is one who remains faithful to the laws of the Jewish religion, that is, the Holy Torah and its commandments.
    • The Jewish people became a people before they had their own land, and continued to exist as a people also after they went Into exile, because our very people hood is based exclusively on the Torah.

      torah-3.jpg

    • The Holy Land was given to the Jewish people on the condition that they observe the Torah and its commandments. When they failed to do this, their sovereignty over the land was taken from them, and they went into exile. From that time, we are prohibited by the Torah with a very grave prohibition to establish a Jewish independent sovereignty in the Holy Land or anywhere throughout the world. Rather, we are obligated to be loyal to the nations under whose protection we dwell.
    • This situation has existed for close to 2000 years when the Jewish people were dispersed throughout all corners of the world. During this time, the Jews always remained faithful to the country in which they lived.
    • The Jewish people are grateful to all those merciful nations which have allowed them to observe Torah and the commandments undisturbed.
    • From ancient times, the relations between the Jewish and Islamic peoples have always been those of peace and brotherhood, and friendship always reigned between them. The proof of this is the fact that for centuries, in all the Arab lands, hundreds of thousands of Jews lived in honor and amidst mutual esteem.
    • Jews throughout all generations yearned to grace the sacred soil of the Holy Land and to live there. However, their sole purpose was to fulfill the commandments dependent upon the land and to absorb Its holiness. Never, G-d forbid, did they have any nationalist or sovereign intent whatsoever which, as mentioned above, is forbidden to us. Indeed, also here in the Holy Land, our fathers lived in neighborly harmony with the Palestinian residents of the land, helping one another, to mutual benefit.
    • Until about two hundred years ago, the vast majority of Jews observed the Torah and the commandments in entirety. Jewry's leaders were Torah scholars, who directed the people according to the Torah. They were loyal citizens in the host nations where they dwelled and to the local laws. They prayed for the welfare of their respective governments. To our sorrow, at that time a small number of Jews slowly left their observance of Torah and commandments. Together with this, they began to deride the spiritual leadership of their people. This assimilation was the basis upon which, one hundred years ago, the ideology of Zionism was born. Its founders were assimilated Jews who had abandoned the Torah.
    • Immediately at the founding of the Zionist movement, masses of Jews under the leadership of their Rabbis, launched a heavy battle against Zionism. Their attack was directed not only at the non-religious Zionist idea, but rather, primarily at its opposition to the Torah-ordained path that Jewry must follow while in exile. As such, the Zionists incited the nations of the world, demanding political sovereignty over the Holy Land while remaining oblivious to the resentment this would arouse In the Palestinian Arabs, the land's veteran inhabitants. As stated, the leaders of Orthodox Jewry vehemently opposed the movement with all force.
    • The Zionists refused to heed the voice of the Rabbis and Torah authority. They persisted in their ways until they succeeded in influencing the British government to issue the Balfour Declaration concerning the "establishment of a national home for the Jews in the land of Israel." To our great sorrow, from that point on began the deterioration of the good relations between the Jews and the Arab inhabitants of the land. This occurred because the Arab people understood that the Zionists wished to seize ruler ship from them. In addition, the Arab people had suspicions as if the Jewish people wished to seize control of the Temple Mount and other similar sites. Matters worsened as a result.
    • The Jewish leadership of that time saw it as proper to clarify before the Arab leaders that the Torah-true Jews had no desire whatsoever for sovereignty, and that our desire was to continue to live in peace with the Arabs, as we had always done. The leader of the G-d-fearing Jewish community at that time, Rabbi Yoseph Chaim Zonnenfeld. of blessed memory, organized a delegation in July of 24' which visited King Hussein and his sons Faisal the King of Iraq and the Amir Abdullah In order to lucidly present to them the position of the G-d-fearing Jewish community. The Jewish delegation clarified unequivocally that Torah Jewry is totally opposed to the Zionist sovereignty over the Holy Land. It Is worth noting that the delegation was received with great honor. They were even assured that all Arab lands were completely open to Jews, however, on the condition that the Jews do not demand political rights. This condition also applied to the Holy Land. One of the members of the Jewish delegation, Professor Yisroel Yaakov De Haan, paid with his life for his participation.
    • Torah Jewry protests at every opportunity against the Zionist rule over the Holy Land, and the Zionist rebellion against the neighboring nations. Torah Jewry has condemned the Zionist oppression of the Palestinians, the land's veteran inhabitants who have been driven from their homes and properties. The Zionists' barbaric and violent deeds are absolutely antithetical to the essence of the Jewish people.
    • Torah Jewry has never ever recognized the Zionist state. Since the Zionists succeeding in establishing their state, Torah Jewry has continuously announced to the world that the Zionists do not represent the Jewish people, and that the name "Israel" that they use is a forgery. For as has been stated above, it is forbidden to us from the Torah to rebel against the nations, and all sovereignty by us is prohibited. Rather, we await the days when all the world will recognize the sovereignty of the Creator, and the words of the prophet Isaiah will yet be fulfilled: "And they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. No nation will lift its sword against any other, nor will they learn warfare anymore."
    • Anti-Zionist Orthodox Jews have refrained to this day from taking any funds from the Zionist regime, whether for their educational institutions, synagogues or other benefits. Obviously, they do not participate in the Zionist elections, whether for the "Knesset" or for the municipality. We do not serve in their army, and we even avoid speaking in the Hebrew language that the Zionists Invented. (incidentally, this is not the holy and true Hebrew language in which the Bible is written.) All this is done because Torah Jewry does not recognize the Zionist regime, which Is against the Torah and against humanity.
    • Lately, the question has once again arisen concerning the Temple Mount and sovereignty over it. Thus, we wish to state unequivocally: a) In our time, it is a severe Torah prohibition for any Jew to set foot on any part of the Temple Mount area. b) The Jewish people have no claim whatsoever to sovereignty over this holy site, which is under Islamic authority, nor over any other holy site. Rabbi Zonenfeld was once asked, "is it true, that the Rabbi prefers an non-Jewish government over all of the Holy Land"? Rabbi Zonenfeld replied, "if King Hussein would rule over Palestine, the holiness of the Holy Land would not be diminished to even to an Iota degree". We yearningly await G-d's great day, when He will return His Divine Presence to Zion, restoring the holy city to its former holiness and glory as in days of old, to be a light to the peoples and the nations.
    • The Zionists have no right of any sovereignty over even one inch of the Holy Land. They do not represent the Jewish people in any way whatsoever. They have no right to speak in the name of the Jewish people. Therefore, their words, declarations and actions are not in any way representative of the Jewish people. This is because the Zionists' seizing of power over the Holy Land is antithetical to Jewish law, and also because the Zionists do not behave like Jews at all rather, they desecrate the sanctity of the land.
    • We once again clarify that it is our desire to live in peace with our Arab and Palestinian neighbors, as we did before the Zionist revolution, and as Jews all over the world till today live, accepting the yoke of rulership of their host nation, with complete loyalty. Our sole desire is to serve our G-d and to fulfill His commandments with a perfect heart and to delight in the radiance of the sanctity of the Land.

  23. This letter by Prabhupada raises to me the question of Vaishnava sanga, is it for a Vaishnava acceptable to work as a permanent condition in karmi association in order to be "better than sannyasa", because it is, "the best source of monetary income to be used for Krishna"?

    My Dear Gopala Krishna,

Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 9th February, 1971 and have noted the contents.

So far as your working engagement is concerned, certainly you are not a karmi. Any person whose constant occupation is Krishna Consciousness, he is not a karmi; he is a devotee in all circumstances. So you should accept the best source of monetary income and use it for Krishna. And that is better than sannyasa. So stick to your job and use it for Krishna Consciousness. You are not a karmi.

Here we are having a very large festival at Cross Maiden in Bombay where 20,000 to 30,000 people are attending daily for chanting, lecturing, arati and prasada distribution. You will be glad to know that both your mother and father came to visit me there. Your mother is always asking that you come with your wife and get a job in India. But I told her that you cannot get a better job here. But she is mother, and so naturally wants to see you. So I have told her that after your examinations you might conveniently come to India to visit her at her home.

So far as your plan for producing one French BTG for both Paris and Montreal, that is a very good idea. You might be interested to know that Dr. Bigelow has already acknowledged my letter and he has already admitted that our knowledge of the spirit soul is far greater than in the Western world. That he has admitted.

So far as going to U.S.A., I am glad that you are going there for better occupation. And if your mentality for devotional service is good and you continue in that spirit, then surely you are a pure devotee.

Offer my blessings to your wife Ekayani. Hoping this will meet you in good health.

    Your ever well-wisher,

    A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
