  1. it is a good thing that this is a public forum and you have the CHOICE to READ or NOT READ his posts. I for one welcome everyone who wants to post. You should never discourage anyone from associating with devotees, ever! Haridham, you are totally welcome to post here again, and don't let one person discourage you from it. Hare Krishna!
  2. I figured that it would be ok anywhere, but I just wanted to make sure. I think that as long as Gopal is worshiped with love, thats what matters. Hare Krishna
  3. Haribol Haridham It is good to hear from you! Please let us know what has been going on in your life? I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed back? Hare Krishna
  4. Why then do they recommend this for beginners or children to worship if it has a higher standard than gaura-nitai? What is the standard for worshiping the gopal deity, or baby krishna? Is placing the deity at the same level as gaura-nitai ok or should we place the deity on a platform or something? Hare Krishna
  5. Hare Krishna, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhuada! I was hoping that someone could answer a question for me. I just got a baby gopal deity for my daughter yeaterday. I was wondering if there is a certain place it should go on our alter? We have Gaura Nitai in the center, and a photo of srila prabhupada to the deities right and a photo of Panca tattva on their left. Does anyone know if there is a correct place to put this deity, or does it matter? Thank you in advance! Haribol
  6. Whats with all this defensiveness? His Guru is not a member of ISKCON, so he is wanting to go to a non ISKCON temple. Whether he has something against ISKCON or not, is not something that matters. I think he just meant that it is not an ISKCON temple, so there may be certain procedures to follow to be allowed to stay in their temple, that are different than ISKCON. He was looking for advice, thats all. Relax, please. He just wants to further his spiritual life, not make jabs at ISKCON.
  7. Why would you tell someone to not visit a temple for a short stay? I think that those who honestly live the monastic lifestyle, and are able to give up material life, should be supported, not told to stay in material life.
  8. the temple president or whomever is in charge and humble request that you be allowed to stay and do service for a week or two. It seems to me that any temple would want to keep a devotee inspired and help them make their spiritual life flourish, as long as there is room. Good luck! Hare Krishna
  9. I keep checking them, but it has been almost 2 months! I wonder whats up?
  10. that all temples cook that way? I know in our temple they use mostly organic products, and everything is really fresh. There are a ton of veggies and they are not rotten. The devotees don't look sickly and they don't eat super heavy everyday. At the Sunday feast, that is a different story. No one eats like that everyday. I am sure that there are sadly more temples that cook food that is not that healthyfor devotees to eat everyday, but it is not all of them, and like the second poster said, it is all prasadam in the end. Haribol
