  1. I said kill demons not all muslims /images/graemlins/smile.gif. You should have the capacity to distinguish between demons and those following other religions
  2. The point is not whether Bin Laden has understood it or not. The point is whether you have understood it or not. We should not fight on the basis that we are Hindus, or Muslims or Christians. We should fight on the basis of who is a demon and who is a demigod. Because Osama Bin Laden is killing other people in the name of religion he is bound to become a leper in his next life as per the laws of Karma. In case you also stoop to the level of Bin Laden, you will also suffer the same fate. Killing in the name of any religion whatsoever is a sign of demoniac mentality and there is no sin if you do away with such people. Arjuna killed demons and that was the religious principle. He was not a fanatic, he did his duty. All those who kill each other in the name of religion are of a demoniac nature. Look at the foolishness of the Indian Polity, we are fighting over a small piece of land called Kashmir when in fact 5,000 years before the entire earth was called as Bharatvarsha. Maharaja Yudhishtra and Parikshit were the emperors of the entire world and the capital was situated in Hastinapura i.e., now New Delhi If all the people in the world turn to Krishna Consciousness, the world can again become Bharatvarsha and the world will be a safer place to live in. But for that, you have to wait for 4,27,000 years more. Hare Krishna
  3. Dear Madhavji What you are concerned with is the welfare of Hindus in General and are afraid whether they will be wiped out in the near future. This puts you on a materialistic platform. The first lesson which you learn in ISKCON is "you are not your body, you are a spirit soul". If you analyse the characteristics of the soul, you may understand that the soul is unborn and does not die. Therefore, if the soul is unborn and does not perish, how can you say that it is a Muslim Soul or Hindu Soul or Christian Soul? Thus you are identified as a Hindu, Muslim or Christian by the association you keep or by the family in which you have taken birth. You might have been a muslim in your previous birth and might have fought for a muslim cause, who knows? Now you are fighting for a Hindu cause because you may be associated a body of association which is propagating hinduism. I don't blame you, but you are on a totally material plane. It is with this bodily platform that you are identifying yourself as a Hindu. What the HK's say therefore that if you are totally detached from the materialistic way of life you will realise the absolute truth and that is brahman. The HK's way of life is to make oneself and others happy by making them realise the true nature of God. Your goal is brahman and that is where you should reach. When you reach the level of Brahman, God will himself reveal to you his true nature. Till that time if you keep fighting between Hindu, Muslim, Christian, etc. God will never reveal to you his true nature. In fact God is transcendental to all these religions. It is pathetic when you say that Rama or Krishna is a Hindu God and Allah is a Muslim God, etc. In fact these are bonafide names of the Same Supreme Personality of Godhead - Sri Krishna. It is only we who have created these distinctions. Jesus Christ also acknowledged the existence of the Supreme - Why? Because He was also on the same transcendental platform. Whether you are worshipping in a Rama or Krishna temple, mosque, church, etc., you are approaching Krishna directly. Only the way of rendition of worship is different. And this has been the bane of all unnecessary communal clashes over the last 1,000 years. This is mainly because of our conditioning in the materialistic way of life. You can discover God only if you understand that you are not your body. Hare Krishna
  4. Bhagavad Gita is not a hindu book, please... It is a totally scientific book taught to us by the Supreme Personality of Godhead himself. It teaches us the art of living happily come what may. A reader of Bhagvad Gita actually feels sad for others who are not interested in this science. It allows us to discover the Supreme absolute truth that is brahman. My favourite verses of the Bhagvad Gita are Verses 22-26 of Chapter 14. They are as follows: “The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: O son of Pandu, he who does not hate illumination, attachment or delusion when they are present nor long for them when they disappear; who is unwavering and undisturbed through all these reactions of the material qualities, remaining neutral and transcendental, knowing that the modes alone are active; who is situated in the self and regards alike happiness and distress; who looks upon a lump of earth, a stone and a piece of gold with an equal eye; who is equal toward the desirable and the un-desirable; who is steady, situated equally well in praise and blame, honour and dishonour; who treats alike both friend and enemy; and who has renounced all material activities – such a person is said to have transcended the modes of nature.” And in verse 26, Krishna says: “One who engages in full devotional service, unfailing in all circumstances, at once transcends the modes of material nature and thus comes to the level of Brahman”. This friends is the summum bonum of Krishna Consciousness. One who understands these two verses completely is perfectly happy. So, friends please, please shed the thought that you belong to a particular religious faith. You are actually atman and it is your birthright to be happy. If uou want to find God, just turn your attention to your heart and you will find God sitting there waiting for you since time immemorial. Hare Krishna

It is not a question of belief, it is a science and therefore, a fact. If you require scientific evidence, please read Chapter 4 of the Bhagvad Gita and also the book 'Coming Back' by Srila Prabhupada. It does not matter whether you are a Hindu, Muslim or a Christian, the existence of the soul is a fact. Whether a person believes or does not believe, it dosen't matter.
  6. Hare Krishna, The mantra is: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Meaning: Hare: O' energies of the Lord, Krishna: The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Rama: The transcendental pleasure and the plenary expansion of Krishna It only means that O' Lord, please give me the strength & Intelligence to serve you & nothing else I want from you. Why 16 Rounds? Because Lord Chaitanya has said so. 16 rounds is like a dosage for material detachment. In detachment only you can be genuinely happy for detachment means non-possessiveness. It is actually the process of Bhakti Yoga. Hare Krishna
  7. Hare Krishna There is only one way of loving God and that is unconditional loving devotional service to God. Whoever you may take i.e., Allah, Jesus, Rama, Krishna, Jenovah, Buddha, etc., which are in fact the bonafide names of the same supreme power. Name dosen't matter. Only take the bonafide names of God. By bonafide names, please exclude Sai Baba. Hare Krishna
  8. Read Bhagavad Gita as it is and you will get the proof. Whenever we go wrong, we sub-consciously say “I must have done something wrong in my last birth, that is why I am suffering now.” In chapter 4, text 4 of the Bhagvad Gita, Arjuna asks Sri Krishna “The sun-god Vivasvan is senior by birth to You. How am I to understand that in the beginning You instructed this science to him?” In 4.5 Krishna says: “Many, many births both you and I have passed. I can remember all of them, but you cannot, O subduer of the enemy”.
  9. Any place on which you want to build a temple or a mosque or any other shrine, has to be a transcendental place. It is better not to build a shrine on a place which has ignited passions. That place has been desecreted by constant bickering or bloodshed over whether to build a temple or a mosque. God will not like to live in such a place. Unfortunately that place has now fallen from its transcendental position. Therefore, it is better to build a park or a high tech speciality hospital.
  10. Dear Guest, PAMHO - AGTSP Jai Sri Krishna or Hare Krishna, What is the difference? Could you please let me know. Hare Krishna
  11. Dear mud Please do not take one year in the literal sense. One year is not a deadline or something. It only means that you will be happier than before as most of the devotees feel. One may feel happier within one month or may not feel happy at all. It depends solely on the devotee. Well, if you become free of anxieties, Isn't the process really worth it? Just chant Hare Krishna and be Happy Hare Krishna
  12. I want to ask you just one question... What are your expectations of Krishna?
  13. Your words speak of intolerance. Do you eat non-veg? If yes, then you have no right to speak about Allah. Ayotollah Khomeni was a vegetarian. It doesn't matter whether Prophet was literate or illeterate. He could have dictated Quran to someone else, simple. Well, there are over 600 versions of the Bhagavad Gita, written by various people over the centuries, similarly there may be different versions of Quran no doubt. How can you make out which one is the original? The answer is, the one which gives you the greatest pleasure and that pleasure will be derived only if you have lose attachment to the following five things. 1) We are basically attached to our material body due to the ignorance of spiritual facts. 2) Attachment to kinsmen due to bodily relationships. 3) Attachment to the land of birth and to material possessions such as house, furniture, estates, property, business papers, etc. 4) Attachment to material science, which always remains mysterious for want of spiritual light. 5) Attachment to religious forms and holy rituals without knowing the Personality of Godhead. By practicing Krishna Consciousness or true Allah Consciousness, you will definitely achieve this truth. As my spiritual master has said: "I'm always receiving emails from my students around the world wanting to know how they can quickly and easily become free of the anxieties of material life. Such inquiries are very good because the fact is that we are suffering like anything in this material world. Everyone here is subject to the miseries of birth, death, old age, and disease. We start off being born, a painful experience indeed. We're lucky we do not remember it. If we did we would be traumatized by that memory for the rest of our lives. And then we start to experience various kinds of sicknesses and diseases. As we gradually progress towards old age our bodies become more and more painful and dysfunctional until finally they become so useless we give them up by dying. And then we have to go through the whole thing again. We imagine so many other things to be our problems, but actually our real problems of existence are these four miseries: birth, death, old age, and disease. If we can simply solve these problems then all the problems of our existence will automatically be solved. A bonafide spiritual master is someone who teaches you how to become free from these difficulties. These are actually artificial impositions on the soul. We are in fact spirit-souls. We are not these bodies. For the spirit-soul there are no such things as birth, death, old age, and disease. If we can come to the spiritual platform we will no longer be subjected to these four miseries. So how do we come the spiritual platform and remain solidly fixed there? In previous ages spiritual seekers would sit down and do yoga practice. They would go to a secluded place and sit down in a rigid yoga posture and gradually reduce their eating, sleeping, drinking of water, and breathing. They would bring their mind to the point of perfect stillness and then fix it upon Lord Vishnu for achieving spiritual perfection. They would totally cut themselves off from society and would no longer care for protecting their bodies from the heat and cold or from anything else. Even if a tiger came they would remain rigidly fixed in their yoga posture without fear. There was no question of maintaining any kind of relationships with friends or family. There was no question of working a job or keeping a bank balance. The yogi would spend the rest of his life alone giving up all material possessions living off some wild berries and roots that he could easily procure in the vicinity of his sitting place. This sort of yoga system requires that one be able to live for thousands of years in order to achieve perfection. In bygone ages when the lifespan was 100,000 years Valmiki Muni followed this system for 60,000 years to achieve perfection. This system is not at all practical at this time in history. Who can guarantee now that they will live even for 60 years? Where can one sit down undisturbed for yoga meditation? Someone will come and demand that you are trespassing on their property and that you have to leave. Even if you own the land the government will come and demand that you pay property taxes. So how can we achieve perfection in this age? In our present age, known as the Kali Yuga (the age of quarrel and hypocrisy) we are very much blessed by the self-realization system known as mantra yoga. We briefly touched on the topic of mantra last week. Now we will delve more deeply into this all- important subject matter. A mantra is a transcendental sound vibration which when repeatedly and devotedly uttered transports one's consciousness beyond this material existence into the transcendental dimension that exists beyond time and space. The Brhad-Naradiya Purana specifies that the only practical method for achieving perfection in this age is the mantra yoga system. harer nama harer nama harer namaiva kevalam kalau nasty eva nasty eva nasty eva gatir anyatha "In this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of the Lord." Any name of the Lord may be uttered. There are so many names from so many scriptures: Allah, Jehovah, Christ, Krishna, Rama, Govinda, etc. One may chant any bonafide name of God and achieve spiritual perfection. Of all the different names or mantras that we may chant there is one described in the Vedic scriptures as the Mahamantra, the Great Chanting for Deliverance. This is the mantra that is specifically recommended in the Vedic literatures as being the most powerful and effective for achieving spiritual perfection in this age. Therefore when our students ask us which names or mantra that we suggest we specifically mention the Hare Krishna Mahamantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare On the instruction of my spiritual master I have been personally chanting this mantra at least 1,728 times daily for the last 32 years and I can personally testify as to its extraordinary power and sweetness far above any pleasure of this material world and beyond any other mantras or names of God I have tried chanting. This takes from 1 ½ to 2 hours daily and is done on chanting beads known as japa beads. I recommend that all of my students who are serious about self-realization should procure a set of japa beads and take up regular daily chanting. This will enable them to advance very quickly on the path of spiritual perfection. Follow these principles and you will be devoid of all misconceptions" Hare Krishna or Allah, means the same thing anyway. Whether you believe or not, it is a fact and I can't help you on facts, sorry. Allah will not curse to those who are truthful or on your recommendation, take it from me.
