I am job less for more than an year after completion of my management course that i am waiting for IT job.

I am afraid where this situation might take me.

I have many good qualifictions but unfortunatly i am not even getting chance to attaned an interview! And now all of sudden there is IT Industry downfall.

How sure are you about the birth time? If you were born even 5 minutes later you would be a Taurus Ascendant. I believe that is correct here. Jupiter in this case would be inauspicious and in the 6th house of debts & enemies.

You have many planets in mutable signs so you tend to get very excitable. You have a sensitive nervous system. But it makes you very intelligent and considerate. Usually when the moon is full like this along the Rahu-Ketu axis the person is very profound and spiritual.

But the sun is under much stress. You should consider wearing a ruby and honoring Lord Narayana (or Surya). On Sundays pay particular attention.

I am going thru very troubled times. Doesn't this tell you something "I have been working like a donkey-day and night, never had time to take vacations or enjoy". It means you don't TRUST. You work like this because you fear losing what you attained which

means your thoughts dwell on loss instead of gain and therefore that's what you get, loss!

Anyhow, Astrologically it is because Jupiter is in the troubled 6th house and Retrograde and in Parivartana yoga with Mercury. So you will have some troubles with debts/enemies/law suits, etc.

Jupiter always represents trust and faith and is an important planet for Aries Ascendant. Mars is strong so you have the will. But you need to tap into divine grace and abundance.

But after 5 years, my health, my life, my happiness was crumbling down as I couldn't withstand such a harsh negative environment, and finally my family noticed and gave me strength to stand up and walk away, and I did. I'm beginning to doubt if this is something to do with my horoscope. A very learned man in India said something about my 'kuja' being strong and that it could be misinterpreted by many as a dosha. That an astrologer should be careful to read this properly. I have no clue or understanding of all this... either with charts, or 'houses', etc. I don't know what it all means. Kuja dosha means the "blemish of mars". It occurs when Mars occupies houses where it doesn't do well. It signifies weakness not strength.

When mars is weak people can have problems with anger outbursts, bad blood, etc or on the flip side taking of abuse, not standing up for oneself, physical weakness, poorly formed muscles, etc.

Your Mars is debilitated and influenced by Saturn. Anyone who told you you have a "strong mars" was trying to flatter you. It is not strong.

It's true that when a planet is on the ascendant it colors the native strongly but it doesn't mean the plant is "strong".

However, on a good note, Mars is very Auspicious for Cancers. You should wear Red coral (first putting it on, on Tuesday). It will bring you luck and success.

Still, Mars is not the biggest problem in your chart. It is Moon, lord of the Ascendant. It is aspected by mars and conjunct Rahu. Indications for the mother are not good.

You should wear a large Pearl. Both Pearl and Red Coral are auspicious for you.

Before I talk to you about your qns, I have seen something in your chart that I would like to mention to you first. Your lagnesh (also 8th lord, death and destruction) is in 12th is thus weak. It is also blemished by Kethu. Lagna is aspected by 6th (disease, enemies etc) is highly malefic. This is making your lagna further weak. Furthermore, the moon who in general indicates mind and thinking is lord of 10th ( profession) is in association with Rahu in the 6th (disease and enemies etc) gives you confussion and foggy mind. Besides this you are having Venus Dasa for 20 yrs that has recently started and thus will give you mixed results.

 

I would suggest not to wear Zircon or Lapiz Lazuli. Rather I would suggest to do reciting of mantra that will make Sukra dev happy. No diamond please. If you want to wear gem, then your choice would be the finest Kashmiri blue sapphire, this will make easier for you to complete post graduation. For marriage you might like to get your chart matched properly. May be that particular girl friend was not a good match for you, and think other way that you found out soon about her rather than after marriage (Mars is the lord of 7th the marriage, relationship etc).

Well he has a very strong chart. As usual he is a Libra Ascendant. It seems that over 50 % of famous people I have seen are Libras. He has a Sasha yoga, a great person's chart for Saturn which is in its own Sign of Capricorn. Saturn is also YogaKaraka for Libra.

He has Sun in the 10th, Mars w/ Rahu in the 11th, an exalted moon. His chart shows a very fine individual with a strong mind and good heart.

Jupiter is the only weak planet, debiliated in 4th house. Still, a debilitated planet in an angle with such a powerful Saturn can "turn around" and act very strong. Obama is currently in such a Jupiter cycle.

So, overall it is quite a different chart than Bush's which has a very malevolent Saturn in the 1st house of Cancer and one of the main reasons America suffered so much the last 8 years.

Well this is not difficult to see. He is a Gemini lagna with Asc and 4th lord exalted in fourth. This brings luck and success on many levels particularly with the mind, home/real estate. 2nd lord of wealth and 11th lord of wealth are mutually aspecting along 4/10th axis, great for wealth particularly for a profession that has to do with the mind (computers/logic).

The auspicious 5th house of Poorva Punya or past life credit has a powerful venus and 9th lord Saturn is at its maximum degree of exaltation in this luck house. I have noticed that everytime I try to do something important such as buying a car or applying for a job and more recently starting my own business. The hurdles pop up from nowhere and either the whole thing is called off or is delayed.

Saturn is dominating the chart from the 11th house. There he influences no less than 4 planets including both the Ascendant lord and the ascendant itself! Also all the lucky planets for Scorpio are in Dusthanas (moon in 6th house, Sun in 8th house and Jupiter in 12th house).

So this can make for great difficulties and frustrations. Of course, patience is a must in a chart like this.

I would do a couple of things, first of all you are in a Sun cycle. So get yourself a Ruby. If you can afford a good one now that's great otherwise you can get something like a Garnet mala and when you come into more money you can get a Ruby.

Chant Gayatri mantras on Sunday.

Get the book "The greatness of Saturn" by Dr. Svoboda. Not only is it a great book for people with Saturn problems but also there are many remedies for other planets as well. Take sometime out every Saturday to read and study this book.

Venus is very strong in your chart. Marriage and spouse will be the easiest things for you.

Ppena,I think you judge me without knowing anything about. I think like a “west-educated” person, because I was born outside India, outside “orient”, outside “east”. This doesn’t make me better or bad than any other user in this forum (or is an extremist forum, closed only to Indians?). I was and I will be skeptic to all “astrological” advices where there are in fact social problems. This is what peoples in India seem to not accept. I sow here, in this large forum, many women having trouble with divorces and so, and I still believe the solution is in society and not in the natal chart; I don’t blame astrologers, many of them are good in their duty, but the true is one: even somebody has in his astrological chart signs to become a king, if he acts in bad way, he comes to a bad end. So, before troubleshooting a person problem, I investigate all aspects from modern sociology and psychology point of view, trying to see what social conjunctures and relationships has that person, then see whatever has to do with him (you can say even astrologically, etc). I totally refuse the idea of fatalist karma, like I hear sometimes from Indians: “Yes, the poor children in India are dying because a bad natal chart or bad karma”. I don’t say there is no truth in astrology; I’m far away from this idea, since I practice yoga for last 20 years and I learned many good things from India’s spirituality, starting with sanskrit language. But accept my point of view, as easy I accept yours: we must make some movements here, in this world, now and not restrain to only spiritual activities. I think this idea was promoted by Gandhi, Vivekananda and so many others intelligent peoples coming from India. What if all of them, having intelligence (and spiritual power, if you want) and influence, just observe the world before their eyes and say: the destiny can not be changed, we must suffer until next incarnation. In fact, this is one reason for being in this forum. I use computer programs for “kundli”, natal charts and so. So what? It is a simple game, it is not my duty. But I like when some of the forum users, who are involved in this domain more than me, confirm or not what computers just simulate. Have a nice day, too. And yes I agree that many times social problems and more or less "common" problems are blamed on astrology.

I also do not accept "fatalistic" karma. As Vasistha said to Rama in the Yoga Vasistha "There is nothing like right action in the present moment".

When an astrologer says something like "That is it, you must suffer because of such-and-such karma " it shows a tamasic mentality one of darkness and resignation.

An astrologer should never cripple their clients' will by making unnecessarily gloomy predictions or by not pointing out how to balance factors in the chart.

An astrologer should be like a doctor trying to help their clients not just making stale predictions without taking into account the will.

Does this man ever love women? I think he is a schizoid type, but merely he was disappointed in love. Or is frustrated. It seems from the social life he was involved, he went to an unusual escape. But this must be connected with emotional aspect. If his sexuality was not fulfilled the brain turns to sub consciences state and points all internal energies to the counterpart of sexuality, such death or morbid ideas. I doubt he never wanted a house, a wife, a family. Maybe the money was not a problem. If so, the woman didn’t play the right scope in his life. So here comes the abandon of social life. I’m licensed in psychology, also an engineer in computer (automatics). I work in computer business for many years, I have a family. Usually peoples in this kind of work have a high level of intelligence compared with others. But if the man doesn’t have emotional satisfaction, the same intelligence can turn over and leave him in a deformed perception of reality. I think this was your friend story. So ask his family to offer him little troubles till his fight spirit will be waked up again. He must fight for his life and wake up from bad dream. I don't think the astro-jumbo-mambo affairs will ever resolve his problem. Nor gods or cosmic powers. The only wall is his own mind.

Let me explain a similar case. I have a friend who goes similar way. For six years long he lived inside the parent’s house and never goes out. For eight years he takes his medicates and all; now he walks outside speaks with old friends; his psychiatric has limited the medicament treatment. Only the periods before ill he remembers easily and sometimes he appears to live in the past. But for him a broken love affair was the factor that started the ill. I don’t think this was the real problem, it was only the point when all bad started. But from childhood this man did act strange and after years, speaking with his psychiatrist, we come at a conclusion: the problem is in his childhood and till he will accept the trauma (if was a trauma) and become able to overcome it, there is no chance.

But I will say it is interesting in that it highlights the differences towards mental health as reflected by both the Western style of thinking with its emphasis on Personal psychology and fixations of the ego with Eastern thought with its emphasis on transpersonal awareness, shunning the ego and Spiritual development.

In this person's case it's not clear whether they are suffering from some type of internalized trauma or repressed sexual/social desires or whether they are on the brink of greater awareness. I would guess its the former since usually people who are spiritually advanced do understand how to relate to others even if they don't like doing it.

My suggestion would be not to pander to this person. Let them pay their own way. Don't allow them to just hang out and get free food and board. You are not doing them any favors that way. If they have not eaten for a couple of days they might "snap out of it".

I would also agree with this poster that the person's fighting spirit is lacking. Notice the debilitation of Mars in the chart. On an ayurvedic level this weak Agni can cause a person to be too "spaced out".

Again, don't support this persons bad habits. Be there for them if they want someone to talk to but otherwise let them fend for themselves.

The native faces problems of instability in career (10th house) + problems from mother-in-law (10th house- since 10th is 4th from 7th) + sister-in-law (9th house - since 9th is 3rd from 7th)

 

Exalted Jupiter is lord of 9th house and throws its strong benefic aspect upon the 10th. In transits, Jupiter is on 9th house. Rahu in transits is on 10th house of the native. In Rasi it aspects all trines. Yet, in the given situation Jupiter should be able to clearly provide strength. What is causing the native to face problems?

 

Actually, even if we apply birth time rectification, Jupiter becomes the exalted lagna lord in 5th!!! Exchange between moon and jupiter becomes an even more potent and auspicious exchange between 1st and 5th houses! Saturn moves to MKS - but thats again not a problem because saturn isnt auspicious for meena lagna. Venus also moves to MKS - but then again thats a good sign because venus is lord of 8th in 6th causing neech-bhanga rajayog and also vipareet rajayog. Here - the noteworthy aspect is that lagna becomes vargottama and by applying Sataabdika dasa, the native is then in saturn MD Jupiter AD.

I agree with Deepa's conclusions. I would also say most problems are because of moon in 12th house w/ Saturn. Yes, it's true that Jupiter aspects from its exalted position and an exchange is there. But still the 12th house is 12th house and Saturn is there too.

If not the solution, at least you gave me the reason why I am facing all these unfortunate things. But, in your answer, you had written that I am under Rahu/Mer dasa right now, and that's why I am in Writing field. If that is the case, which profession will I be in after this Rahu/Mer dasa is over? So far, I did various petty jobs; this is the only profession right now giving me some self-satisfaction. But, if this is dependent on a Rahu/Mer dasa, then you mean to say that I am definitely going for a job change. Could you please throw light on my profession and tell me in which field (permanant) I will build-up my career? I am and will be really thankful to you.

No, you misunderstood. The fact that you started this writing during Rahu/Mercury indicates you can do it for a long time, long after Rahu/mercury. It is not dependent on that.

And what do you mean I gave no solution? What does wearing Ruby and doing Hanuman Chalisa sound like? Maybe you don't have faith in these things.

It is as you said. Dasha is more important than transits.

Dashas represent the phase of life you are in whether favorable or unfavorable. Transits represent how that fruit manifests.

A favorable Dasha with poor transits will still mean success but limited or moderated. When transits improve then good luck follows like a raging river.

Well you have 3 planets in the 6th house so what else do you expect?

I'm half kidding of course. Yes, 3 planets in 6th house causes problems with enemies. Late start in life is due to Saturn in 7th house aspecting both Asc and Asc Lord as well as lord of Moon sign.

You are currently in a Rahu MD placed in the 12th house, sometimes considered a house of "hidden" enemies as it stands in direct opposition to 6th house.

Rahu/Mercury will put you in the writing field but still brings problems of enemies.

9th lord of luck in 6th house of enemies causes some misfortune. You should wear a Ruby, clear transparent Ruby. If you cannot afford one, try clear red garnet.

Mars is the Karaka of enemies and you should strive to propitiate Hanuman as much as possible. Do the Hanuman Chalisa every Tuesday and get involved in some type of physical activity. There must be physical discipline in life.

Because the moon is waning in your chart sometimes you are not friendly enough and this causes problems too. You create friction with people.

Try to be more understanding of others' opinions and ideas.

This chart may help learners. The guy had and still is in a state of stillness with respect to outside world.

 

He was an outspoken, brilliant, aggressive guy with a very dashing nature. He completed this gradaution and computers course with me and moved ahead in career at a early age of 19.. He worked for a medium software firm for 3 years and later shifted to Satyam Computers in October 2000. He worked there for 6 months with a very good salary which was then a very high paid one..

And in March 2001.. He simply for no good reason resigned and came home and went into his room, with no activity kind of state for 4 years, something like maharshis with long hair and beard and things.. He never spoke to anyone and was reduced to skeleton due to lack of eating. I think he was fed a bare minimum.

After 4 years he was by force made to look normal by grooming by friends..

After that he is now looking better than that and he is talking to people. He eats, goes out, wil ahve tea and cmoe back home. He can remember things very remarkably. The next US President shall take oath on <st1:date Month="1" Day="20" Year="2009">20<SUP>th</SUP> January, 2009</st1:date> – which is observed as inauspicious time as per Vedic / Indian system of electional (Muhurt) astrology. Discussion herein is based on Indian system (Nirayana - Sidereal system) of astrology.

The oath is generally taken around mid-day on 20<SUP>th</SUP> January when according to Indian system of astrology Aries 21º shall be rising, with Moon in 8<SUP>th</SUP> house (6º 15´ - Scorpio, Anuradha asterism); While the Jupiter (9º 33´ – combust), Mercury ( 6º 38 – is combust & retrograde) and Rahu are with the Sun ( 6º 49´) are in the 10<SUP>th</SUP> house. Mars lord of ascendant and 8<SUP>th</SUP> is in 9<SUP>th</SUP> house. There is exchange of 5<SUP>th</SUP> lord Sun and 10<SUP>th</SUP> lord Saturn. Venus is in 11<SUP>th</SUP> house. Exact time of oath taking and the astro details of the oath taker are not known, therefore divisional charts and beneficence of the for the individual are not discussed. The Moon shall be in 24<SUP>th</SUP> asterism from that of the transiting Sun, causing “Upgraha Dosha” – adverse for especially for marriage, travel and house related elections. Thus there is no assistance from any special Muhurt Yogas, considered essential for a beneficial election.

In the election chart, the Moon is in 8<SUP>th</SUP> house – held as highly prohibited for initiating any beneficial activity. Thought its debilitation effects in 8<SUP>th</SUP> house gets cancelled, but shall have adverse effects on homes / houses, transport system and public in general of the country, with regards to their damage / destruction / losses. Retrograde & combust Mercury may cause severe adverse effects on communication systems, army, Government employees and servants. As per old Western school of thought in astrology, the Mercury being Cazimi, shall have beneficial effects. But Most of the modern followers do not agree with this old thought. Difference in their longitude is 0º 11´ 38˝, but some savior is that their declination is different. Retrograde planet especially Mercury is held by Western astrologers as certainly unfavourable in important elections. Lord of luck (9<SUP>th</SUP> house lord) Jupiter is combust and in the same Navamsha with the Sun; being functional malefic for Aries ascendant, may cause instability & disrepute to the ruler. Retrograde Saturn may breed some new unusual and unpleasant steps in diplomacy & governance; some of which shall be withdrawn at latter stages. Income, trade, wealth of the country shall certainly expand and flourish. Thus election chart does not augurs towards beneficence.

The detailed analysis can only be made after knowing the exact time of taking oath; but the above effects can be mitigated to some extent. From 12 hrs 0 min to 12 hrs 38 min, Abhijin / Abhijit Muhurt prevails, which has immense power to reduce / annihilate adverse effects – as per Vedic astrology. Further Mars as lord of the ascendant in 9<SUP>th</SUP> house is another beneficial aspect in the election chart. But in general the said time is not observed as auspicious for taking oath by the head of state of the most powerful country.

The purpose of this article is to trigger a discussion among the Muhurt astrologers (both from east & west) to examine the suitability of the oath time and possibility of recommending another suitable time, after thorough debate, getting benefits Vedic electional astrology which has withstood test of time for the last 5 millenniums. Muhurt (electional) astrology was originated in Vedic era, and is considered as the most useful branch of Hindu astrology. Of late westren astrologers have also started following it. But need of the hour is that remedial advice should be given in advance.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with this. Yes moon debilitated in 8th house is terrible and will bring emotional pain and suffering.

But the most important houses in the chart are occupied (9,10,11). There is a mutual exchange between 5th and 10th lords, very auspicious, Lord of the Asc mars is in 9th house very auspicious, lord of 2nd is in 11th good for wealth, auspicious and the 10th house has 4 planets!

Now it's true that Jupiter is combust and debilitated not good at all as auspicious 9th lord.

So it's a mixed chart, Moon and Jupiter are not well placed the rest of the planets are more less well placed.

I am a girl and I am suffering from problems in every part of my life.

My brother died from a terrible disease at the age of 16. My mother and father are both suffering from serious health issues, both physical and mental.

I am all alone. No relation with any of our relatives.

I am not able to continue my education, even though I want to study more.

You are coming through a difficult Rahu cycle.

The most important planet to address in your chart is the Sun. Sun is lord of the Ascendant in the inauspicious 12th house and aspected by Saturn and Ketu !

This makes you feel contracted and fearful. While other astrologers have mentioned Jupiter and that is not bad advice, in my opinion it is Saturn's affect on the 2 most auspicious planets for Leo, Sun & Mars that is the real source of the problem.

Try to do Surya Namaskar everyday and definitely get a ruby! It should be clear and flawless. If you can't afford, get a nice red garnet stone. Make a special puja or prayer on Sundays worshipping Lord Narayana always.

Also, Red coral brings luck and blessings as well.

You will enter Jupiter MD in just a week or so! You will experience a definite change then.

7th lord has difficult malefics and 7th lord is in 12th from both the Asc and Moon. There will be problems in romantic dealings.

But what is most important in the chart is the weakness of Moon and Jupiter both VERY important planet for Pisces Ascendant.

It is important for the native to wear Yellow Sapphire and Pearl. Honor Guru on Thursdays.
