Yes obviously... But sorry there is no tag to give you a hint in my case. I suppose, I'm making it a bit difficult for you. Thanks to you also dear friend.

Gandhi is Mahatma Gandhi. And had he walked on the way you would have thought then India would have still been a slave and I would have called him Gandhi not Gandhiji.

Nope, Srikanth is right... Knowledge is known as Jnana in Sanskrit... However it is still incomplete, because it has not yet reached the stage of Vi-jnana, that is Realised Knowledge.

spreading lord shiva awareness across world
Amlesh replied to balachandranv's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Pranaam Atanu,Well, I know that you were not generalising and in that matter I agree with you. I had encountered so many for the past 5 years. The best I can do is to remain silent... any argument will bring blasphemy to either Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu or Both, which is the least desirable. Even though I'm from Vaishnava school of thought, many times I took the side of Non-Vaishnavas... the reason is the same as you've said in your post. -

Pranaam Atanu, I should first of all thank you for the clarifications. It was up to the point. In addition to that, I should say, I do understand your purport about non-indians studying the Vedic Shastras.. but it is also true that for those who were born with that culture, it is easier to decipher as it should be. But I'm more happier when I see the endeavor of Westeners. I myself was not born in India, but my origin is from there... I was born and brought up in Mauritius.. in an orthodox family. I should say I'm the rare lucky guys to be born in such a family because most of the people out there have chosen the unorthodox path. In that respect, I see that many of the westeners are the real gems... cause I've seen many Indians as well as People of Indian Origin bereft of that knowlege. Considering all that... whenever we get to hear or read sloka [i mean the purport... it is easier for us to decrypt]. In Audarya.... from Theist, Bhaktajan, cbrahma, Bija and many others.. even though not from India... they know much much much than many many so-called [indian] Vedic Scholars. -
He would not have been called Mahatma. So Paarsurey... no need for an auto tag... We'll get an idea of your being through your acts... or should I say your posts.

The Shiva of Bhagvatam is infact Rudra... a form of Shiva. According to Hinduism there are 3 Eternal beings who do not change bodies... Vishnu, Anant Shesh Naag and Shiva. That very Shiva is known as Sada Shiva... The Eternal Shiva. -
I can't really tell you about a Guru near your locality... but what I might suggest you is as what SriKanth told, to attend from time to time our cyber association. When you mind is engaged in spiritual talks, it surely gets cleansed, not only from Kaam but also from fear. Me too I'm 25.. and hence I can say, it surely helps.

Well, for sure it does have more than 2. The Gita can't be classified as a religion.

True indeed... The great Sage Narada said... someone gets the mercy not by any endeavour.. it's only when the Lord set His Lotus Eyes on that particular person... The same thing was said by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in His "The story of my experiments with truth" , " WHO IS THE OBJECT OF CIRCUMSTANCE AND WHO HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE SEER OF LORD IS A MYSTERY AND AN ETERNAL MYSTERY KNOWN TO THE LORD ONLY."

Hare Krsna Association, Hindu-ization and Other Things
Amlesh replied to Svarupa's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Before we used to go fishing to have some nice Tuna.... [it's the expression, rest assured I'm a Vegan]. Today we get the same canned from Factories. Sanyasisyon ka bhi yehi haalat hua hein. -
10 years back when I was 15 years of age... when my high school teacher asked us about the different religions and respective Scripture. I was a bit astonished to discover that all religion had only 1 book whilst Hinduism had 2. She told firstly, we have the Vedas and after a short reflection she said "... and also the Gita". It's only five years later that I understood why. The Gita is the reconciliation of all the different school of thoughts.. be it inside the Hinduism panel or outside... The Gita is impossible to decrypt if everything has not yet been explored.

Hare Krsna Association, Hindu-ization and Other Things
Amlesh replied to Svarupa's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Approved Gurus... and what is left to hear. That's the problem of this nowadays world... everything is mechanized. Iskcon has a academical syllabus to form Gurus... really pathetic. Vaishnavism has lost its natural flair which is its Trade Mark. I think people should read the work of R.K Narayan [especially The Guide] and watch the latest movie of Shyam Benegal and get an idea what Transcendence is. -
All the Iskcon in this world need a good re-engineering in terms of Truth and proper understanding of Vaishnavism. All the Iskcon are like strawberries from the same basket. They themselves don't know what Vaishnavism is and they set to preach. Iskcon is an industry like the rest with its annual profit and loss and balance sheet; and there is the possibility of getting fired if no return on investment. So employees, I mean Bhaktas take care.

Demi-Gods? I need clarification. Please help me understand.
Amlesh replied to Bee's topic in Spiritual Discussions
Not the Vaishnavites but the Hare Krishna. Don't generalise buddy. But I don't think Bhaktajan meant what you have emphasized. Well.. but I do agree that many of Hare Krishnas have that Superiority Complex with their Doctrine [which they think they've understood... which is far from that.] -

Wrong.... The Devaki Putram Gitam is considered as Sruti. Gita being the 12th Upanisad... known as Gitopanishad. The Gitam is known only and only after knowing the Vedas and the Upanishads pretty well. Gita reconciliates the THIS of the Vedas and NOT THIS of the Upnaishads. -
Thanks for your Advice Krishna Prem. I prefer million times the association of Non-Vaishnavas who understand universality rather than Krishna Bhakta opposing Universality. I'm touched for your concern about me being doomed. But No Man is doomed eternally.. everyone gets the chance for redemption, even Adolf Hitler. If Mukti is not written in this birth for me.. then I would say: "Mein apne maan kaa meil dho na saka, ye jivan tera ho naa saka."... addressed to Hari. One is one's own architect of dissolution or elevation... there is no one to blame except oneself. Little by little I'll make you learn Vaishnavism AS IT IS. You are right.. for your stage keep your Pure Vaishnava Sat-Sang... I've already crossed that Stage... I like to walk freely now without any fear of downfall... by Hari's Grace with no Arrogance and Pride. Buddy, How can you expect to work for the whole community regardless if one is a sinner, a pious, a man, a woman, a Vaishnava, a non-Vaishnava..et al, if you'll keep hiding with your likes. Is that Universality, is it What Krishna taught? Association means seeking guidance and in turn adopting the ideas of others... Till you are learning it's good practice to have nice association.. when academics are over.. then Time to work selflessly like Gandhi et al.. THAT IS CALLED Bhakti. Time to come in the Battle Field.

Krishna Prem, you are a classic example of why people in general think in a -ve way Vaishnavism. But I suppose you've just learnt something from this Doctrine and just like One of our friend was saying about Mandir educated people; I suppose you are among one of them... So that Zeal is still in you... You are a diamond my Friend but in its natural crude form... With some nice polishing by the grace of time and your presence in this Forum and with the expertise of great Jewelers down here.. you'll become a fine Diamond. Ok insolent.. start learning your lesson from now.
