Jesus is known as the Son of God the Father.

Does this mean that Jesus is the Son of Sri Hari Visnu?

Hare Krsna

It could be but then again whenever someone asked him if he was the Son of God he simply said "Your words, not mine"

Srila Prabhupadha said that Lord Jesus came from the sun planet.( I remember that Sri Atmatattva Das, once said that Srila Prabhupadha said that Lord Jesus was his spiritual master)

I presume Jesus could be the son of the Sun GOD. However in term of spirit soul I think we are all the sons of GOD the Father, since we are part and parcel of him.

exactly....

Jesus said he was the son of God, but I don't think he did this to show divinity. I think he wanted to convey to others that we are all sons and daughters of God, and we should all follow the right path.

And you have to remember that people during that time people were very uneducated. They were amazed by Jesus' teachings because they hadn't seen anyone else with such knowledge. Accordingly, they thought of him as a divine being.

There is a lot of different ideas going around about who Jesus the Christ was, for example :

http://omjesus.net/

My personal understanding is that Jesus was a normal jiva, empowered by Krishna to preach. Jesus during his 'lost years' went to India (there is many books about this) and learnt vaisnavism. When he did return, he teached love of God, according to time, place, and circumstance. He is the spiritual master for the Christian faith, and only through him can they achieve liberation.

However, due to the lack of parmpara, the teachings of Jesus have sadly mostly been lost in the Christian faith. The Bible is now for "personal intepretation", which is wrong imo.

Yep the Gnostic Chrisitianity is actually Christianity, but the all powerful Pope suppressed them nearly to the brink of extinction. But now it's coming back because they found some of the Gnostic Gospels hidden away. Some are even written by Jesus's siblings and they think the Gospel of Judas is one also. Shows you how political Christianity got.

BVML recently posted a very well researched and lengthy series of articles about Vaisnavas and Jesus Christ. It is well worth the read.

Radhe Krishna,

I am not a member of ISKCON. But I have regards for Shri ACB for the services he rendered to humanity and krishna bhakthi.

but coming to relationship between christ and krishna, these things can be better explained through Bible and Shrimad Bhagavatham.

In 59th or 61st Adyaya of Uttararda (I dont now exactly remember the specific adyaya), the names of sons and grandsons of Lord Krishna are clearly mentioned. I am sorry I wont add one or reduce one from that and in that I dont find the name of christ. Thats the end of the matter for me.

I dont know whether in Bible whether there are any positiv reference to Lord Krshna.

Radhe Krishna
