Guest guest Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I have a copy of Srila Narayana Maharaja's Gita and it is not very readable. You need a sanskrit dictionary to read every sentence. There are so many sanskrit words in each sentence. I've tried to read it many times but I can't get passed the first couple of pages... Apparently, the devotee behind the project said that it was to teach people sanskrit, which in my opinion is absolute nonsense. Btw...I am a disciple of Srila BV Narayana Maharaja and have been for 11 years. So save your money and wait until it is done properly i.e...when people can read it. If you buy it...you will be very frustrated and will not finish it. Many of my godbrothers and siters haven't read the book for the reasons already outlined. Guest guest Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I read this book and it's amazing, yes lots of sanskrit words, but a huge glossary in the back, and after a while you don't need that.. i compliments Srila Prabhupada's very nicely and i read them together, doing this really helped me go alot deeper into the Gita /images/graemlins/smile.gif ok.. i did have a spare copy but gave it away the other day YS Md

Pankaja_Dasa 1 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I actually have the book on file. I have no idea what the first devotee guest is talking about. The commentaries are by Visawnatha Cakravati Thakura and Bhaktivinoda Thakura, and most of it is in English. It's by pure devotee!
