I have one doubt abt the Mahabharata

Was there any battle that took place between Bhima and Karna in the battle of Mahabharata?

If so what was the outcome!

Please reply to my query.

Karna thrashes all the four brothers (and that includes Bhima and excludes Arjuna), but allows them to live owing to his promise to his mother Kunti.

Before being thrashed by Karna once, Bhima spared Karna's life so many times.Bhima was about to cut off the tongue of Karna in their first meeting in Kurukshetra and Karna got fainted  as he was unable to resist and tolerate the much stronger attacks by Bheema.During the Kurukshetra war, Bheema even challenged Karna in wrestling.Karna did not accept that challenge.Everyone can understand,  what would happen to Karna if he had accepted the challenge. Not only these Bheema repeatedly defeated Karna and spared him for the sake of his younger brother's (Arjuna) vow to kill Karna.Yes, at the 17th day Karna once spared Bheema. But, at that time Bheema was trying to get closer to Karna to defeat him and did not have a chariot, whereas Karna was on his chariot and attacked Bheema with his arrows. He attacked with his arrows and hardly dare to come in a physical combat with or to get closer to Bheema. The tv serials are often misguiding about many person's characters in Mahabharat. Karna was stronger than Bheema in cases of knowledge of archery only but was no match to Bheema's physical strength, bravery, knowledge on mass fighting.
