Looking for positive court ruling for Krishna devotees, 1977

In 1977, a similar situation arose when a New York court was deciding whether ISKCON was a dangerous sect practicing brain-washing or a bona fide religion. After the court delivered a positive ruling, Srila Prabhupad read the New York Times article, "Hare Krishna Movement is a Bona Fide Religion". and he declared, "Now my mission is successful."

And I wouldn't be too surprised to find that the story was all hype. There seemed to have been an element that didn't have enough faith in Krsna, Sri Caitanya and Srila Prabhupada to just tell the plain truth as it is without adding various poetic embellishments. Unfortunately, too many used car salesmen turned preachers have given the product a bad name in the marketplace over the years.
