Jahnava Nitai Das Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 The Srimad Bhagavatam is a book composed by the sage Vyasa approximately 5,000 years ago, and is considered the essence of all Vedic knowledge. It is stated that in this present age of darkness we will receive light in the form of the Srimad Bhagavatam. The Bhagavatam deals with ten primary subject matters, the ultimate being the complete shelter of everything, Lord Krishna. By daily reading and hearing about the Lord's pastimes in the Srimad Bhagavatam our heart will become purified and we will be filled with transcendental knowledge. Quote
