As stated in Bhagavata....where is sutala, atala, patala lokas????I cant seem to understand it.

 

where did samudramathana take place......on earth or other planet like vikunta???? because there it states kshirasagara, but there is no kshirasagara on earth...we find only salt sagara on earth.

The purport of understanding Bhagavad Gita is through submission and devotional service. If on the one side you have Krishna and on the other side you have a scientist. Both are contradicting each other. Whom do you believe? Krishna, of course, because he is perfect. How he is perfect? Because he is free from the four defects which we or any other scientist suffers from viz.,

 

Propensity to tell lies.

 

We have our egos and illusions.

 

Imperfect senses and

 

Propensity to cheat.

 

Krishna is perfect, therefore whatever he says has to be accepted at face value.

The planets you mentioned are found in the subterrainean realm in the lower part of the Universe below Earth. In the nether regions of the universe the Sun rays do not reach and that realm is illuminated by the reddish colored light that emanates from the jewels on the head of Lord Ananta Shesha - the serpent bed of Lord Vishnu. I would like to mention abt anatha shesha holding earth at the tip of its tail.

U should not take it literally....

Shesha also means gravity in Sanskrit , So it means that gravity or some sort of power is holding Earth. Srimad bhagavat if full of such words where you need to have a guidance of a enlightened master who can tell you the exact meaning of certain words, otherwise these words are misinterpretated and people will brand Srimad Bhagavata as something very silly.

Srila Prabhupada wrote Balarama is Sheshnaag and he is the "force" holding all planets and stars together.This means Earth rests on Sheshnaag.
