You are right we should know better.

But again, not all of the vaisnavas are like this. I know the temple girls and boys for example are very devotional. They do wear sari and tilak and such. Ofcourse they get harrased by Indian people who say they are trying to be "hindu" etc but they dont care.

Hey I watch tv too. I know i shoudnt but I could be doing a lot worse....or maybe a lot better.

I know what you mean

We should know better.

I don't mind someone calling me a karmi. I am interested in the getting the fruits of my labor. It is sometimes said with a mean spirit behind it and that I don't need. But factually I am a karmi. I am interested in improving my positon to a devotional one, but that will come in due course.

Real friends don't puff up their friends by artifically praising them as devotees.

I think we should seek out those with mature internal knowledge and let others worry about their costumes if they so wish. My preferred costume is khakis and a t-shirt. Simple and clean is fine with me.

Just chant Hare Krsna and lets become sincere and in our dealings with people.

As far as clothes go....Prabhupad did say first dress then adress.

However everything nowadays is time, place and circumstance.
