Sphinx on the travel channel

It is unfortunate that very few archeologists (and fincancial sponsors) have interest in conducting research in India compared to other more popular and visible locations.

Anyway, I am glad they are doing more research into the Sphinx. It is an interesting topic. If I get time maybe I will write something on egyptian links to Vedic culture (perhaps in the next newsletter).

I watched a program titled 'Mystery of the Sphinx' which spoke about new evidence that seems to make the Sphinx older than currently accepted. How valid is this new evidence, is something that I am checking out.

For those who are interested, the program will be aired again on the Travel channel [in the US] on Aug 4 and 5. [sat & Sun]. It is presented by Heston and has views from some of the top Egyptologists like John Anthony West, etc.
