D`Atomic (HareKrishna) Virus

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Long ago it was believed that certain

non-living objects could rise to li-

ving things. Learned men used to teach

that aphids, or plant lice sprang from

dew in plants; that maggots were begot-

ten of decaying meat; that horse hair

turned into worms; that mud gave forth

fishes. We know however that aphids

and fishes and maggots and worms are

produced from eggs. In other words,

life begets life and as far as our pre-

sent knowledge goes, only living things

can produce themselves. There is an ex-

ception, forms that are known in LATIN

as VIRUS, which in other words means

that IT is a POISON, discovered on 1892

by a Russian scientist Iwanowski while

investigating the plant disease called

TOBACCO MOSAIC.

We may have also heard of viruses that

exist in the INTERNET, don`t we? Maybe

you have come face to face with ILOVEU

or the RED CODE. What were they? What

triggered them ?

God is the CAUSE OF ALL CAUSES, right?

Then you`ve got the ANSWER!

It was way back in 1986 when I had this

desire to become a writer after passing

the board exams for medicine. I didn`t

have any back ground on journalism but

I could write. When my first article,

" A New Heaven and a New Earth " was

published in The Freeman, a local dai-

ly newspaper, I was elated to know that

maybe this art was in my genes.

The local daily later accepted me into

its fold when they provided me a space

where I could write a column," A Grain

of Devotion " by Naradadeva Bhagavan.

Ah, I had a grand time when they pub-

lished a series of articles which I

re-edited the commentaries of Srimad

Bhagavatam by His Divine Grace A.C.

Bhaktivedanta Prabhupad, only to be

discovered later that I just copied

Prabhupad`s works verbatim when I hit

the jackpot by calling Jagad Guru

( Chris Butler) a rascal. Thus, they

stopped publishing these articles

after the disciples of Mr. Butler

called this writer a charlatan. But

this did not stop me from writing ar-

ticles about the Hare Krishna move-

ment in our locality, Cebu City, Phil.

I have observed that everytime such

an article was published, many things

happened around the province and else

where.

Hare Krishna- A Virus?

------------------------

Fact or Fiction? That the last article

this writer wrote, " Getting Caught W/

the Cough " a dormant volcano, Mt. Pi-

natubo erupted that almost devastated

Central Luzon, Phil.? A coincidence?

I don`t know.

Then I started telling the media that

the Internet was doomed because there

within its bowels is the Hare Krishna

virus lurking like a Child who anima-

tedly plays with users, like YOU.

Fact or Fiction: That the ILOVEU virus

came alive somewhere between February

and March 2000? That it started some-

where inside the Sri Sri Radha Mandir

Temple in Washington. D.C.?

Fact or Fiction: That the Code Red worm

is not a worm but a termite? That the

said worm was discovered between April

and May 2001 inside Delphi.Com/Forums/

Seekers ....?

You may not believe me, or not. But

that also happened to the people in

Noah`s time.

Haribol!

O.K. Why am I saying this to you?

Because in my planet people read

the news, they be politics, econo-

mics, entertainment, religious, etc.

Since, I like to read anything about

religion, I would have expected that

IT`d publish, at least, on weekly

basis, about Krishna consciousness.

But all I read are articles from Dr.

Deepak Chopra, Maharishi Yogi, about

Christ Jesus, blaah..blaah. If the

Supreme Lord is such a loving Being,

then why can`t they not print the

Lord`s glorious pastimes on MTV, CNN,

TIME magazine, New York Times, The

Freeman?

If Krishna Consciousness is such a

BIG DEAL, then why can they not spend

God`s money on printing in the news-

papers about the Sankirtana movement

of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu? In that

way, at least when I open my favorite

newspaper, I would be able to read a

thing or two about Hare Krishna. I

would be happiest person in the world

if you could do this in Cebu City,

Philippines or elsewhere.

ISKCON have spent so much on so-called

Planetariums that for just $20 a week,

they could even spend to have Swamiji`s

works printed in the newspaper say, Sun

Star Daily or Cebu Daily News.

Why are people trying to cover-up the

Supreme Lord Govinda and instead have

unlimited articles printed about Jesus?

Is Jesus more popular than Krishna?

For those who think Krishna is a myth,

then I might as well call Hare Krishna

a virus(poison) to me and you.

You know there`s a saying, that X

maybe beneficial to some , but the

same could be a poison to John.

Dear Melvin

Our relationship with the Divine

is a secret PRIVATE matter

not for publication

Our attempts to

communicate it to closest others

often ends in the greatest disappointment.

Is Jesus more popular than Krishna?

Yes, Jesus is more popular than Krsna. Rama is more popular than Krsna, Visnu and Narayana, and Siva is the most popular of the Hindus' gods. Allah is quite popular and practically no one knows Kurma and Sukla. The bulk of Christianity reads more than the bulk of Krsna's followers and therefore there are more articles on Jesus than on Krsna. Besides people in general loves to know that god has died for their sake in a cross.

Hari cannot be popular as He is always hide in a cave. He also has form and no form, and so, He is simply difficult to be found out. He is everything that one can see, so no one can recognize Him as a beef for example. Have you ever read any article on Hari in a Cebu's newspaper? In fact Hari is all articles ever written, as there is nothing different than Hari.

Visnu and Narayana are more popular than Krishna.

I would tend to disagree on this. In North India Krishna is much more popular than Vishnu in terms of personal worship, and the same is the case in East India. Only South India has a stronger Vishnu tradition, the rest of India is attached to Krishna.

Are Visnu, Narayana, Rama and Krsna different Haris? Does Hari work according to different geographic positions on the Earth?

Master Morph Satyaraja,

Yes Hari works according to the differences in geographical positions on the Earth. In as much as those positions contain human cultures with varying degrees of spiritual understanding.

His incarnations appear with different missions but all working towards the upliftment of the populace involved.

For instance Kalki will not be coming to steal butter and herd cows.

But you are right, they are all Hari.

A new theology! Very nice indeed. What are the sruti mantras that support this thesis?

If it's so, how do you dare to worship Krsna in America? He cannot perform any pastime in America as He is an Indian avatara!

Satyaraja,

You seem to be doing the double-speak again. It was you who said that Visnu and Narayana are more popular than Krsna. JNDas has disputted this statement of yours. Now you criticize his statement by stating that Visnu, Narayana, and Krsna are all the same Hari (something which is not against what JNDas said by the way), so how can there be such a difference, a difference YOU YOURSELF FIRST SAID EXISTED.

What about the statements:

The Holy Name is Divine and non different from the Lord.

However heard from the lips of a non devotee It is poison - just like milk touched by the lips of a serpent becomes poisonous.

Is this another example of double speak ?

I don't want to get side tracked off what Satyaraj has said. We can go around in all sorts of circles, simply for the sake of going around in circles. Introducing other side arguments only allows those expert in making such circular positions to create even more circular arguments to confuse and obfuscate the issue. My statement is very clear and I leave it at that.

Let me correct myself. I may have misspoken and confused who said what. Messages have been edited so I'm not sure if Satya said the above statement, or Melvin, or someone else. If it wasn't Satyaraj, then I apologize for the confusion.

No need to apologise for any puported confusion. However, if you are leaving please allow me to put this to Satyaraja:-

"You seem to be doing the double-speak again. It was you who said that Visnu and Narayana are more popular than Krsna. JNDas has disputed this statement of yours. Now you criticize his statement by stating that Visnu, Narayana, and Krsna are all the same Hari." So, my dear friend, how can Hari be more popular than Hari ?

Here is the full quote Satyaraja."Yes Hari works according to the differences in geographical positions on the Earth. In as much as those positions contain human cultures with varying degrees of spiritual understanding."

Time place and circumstance.I think you are addicted to arguing, which is why your position always changes.Even if someone agrees with you you feel you have to take the opposite position in your next post.

Gauracandra, you were correct in your above assessment, which is why I called Satyaraja, Master Morph. His position is always changing.

Yes ! Well !

Let's get back on tracks.

The "subject" of this thread, as commenced by Melvin, is the Hare Krishna Virus (for virus read "POISON"). This is a most BIZARRE subject until one recalls it being said (in another place) that the Divine Names become POISONOUS if heard from the lips of a non devotee.

Now Satyaraja has been recently described as a "Master Morph". However he must pale in comparison to the Divine Names which are alleged to become poisonous if uttered by certain class of persons who happen to predominate in this Age of Kali, the very Age in which the Holy Names are the only Way to Deliverance. From Divine to Virus, from Healing to Poison, the Supreme Morph ?

In case my point is missed:-

Just how bizarre is Melvin's suggestion if you consider that the Divine Names are said to become poisonous under certain CONDITIONS ?

Without going there and downloading the audio I presume you are speaking of; as far as possible hearing from non-devotees should be avoided as milk touched by the lips of a serpent have poisonous effects.[paraphrased]

The effects are poisonous.Where does it say the Names Themselves become poisonous?

I as a materialist don't chant yet the Names of Krishna.Hearing from my lips and hearing from a devotees lips will not produce the same result.

Perhaps someone well versed in the Harinamcintamini will step in at this point.

OKAY sweetie.

I will avoid the hair splitting pedantic arguments regarding the difference between something being intrinsically poisonous and something not poisonous but having a poisonous effect !

Yes I will avoid that argument by AGREEING with you. Yes, it is said by certain authorities that the hearing of the Holy Names from the lips of a non devotee has a POISONOUS EFFECT.

Now, if this statement is accepted we still obtain scope for Melvin's idea of a Hare Krishna "virus" ("POISON"). As you may be aware, viruses need not, ipso facto, be a poison and, yet, under certain conditions can give rise to poisonous effects. Is the Hare Krishna virus that Melvin is raving about a concept for the POISONOUS EFFECT of so many non devotees chanting the MahaMantra?

(Oh, by the way, a saucer of milk is not poisoned by a snake drinking from it. OOps. I am sorry - let me rephrase that: A saucer of milk touched by the lips of a snake does not give rise to poisonous effects by virtue of a snake having touched it.)
