geoffrey 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 I have read in the Bhagavad Gita (2:20) that the spirit has no beginning and no end - that it is not born and that it never dies. Now, if everyone has a spirit and the population of the planet is increasing (by about 1 every second!) there must be new spirits being created somewhere. So there must be a beginning to the spirit. Ignore me, I'm not thinking. I'm not taking into account the whole of the Universe. Of course, there must be a net loss somewhere.
Subham 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Hari OM: it is said "spirit" not "human spirit" while the human population is increasing, many animal population (like tiger, buffaloes, monkeys...) are decreasing and in fact some are becoming extinct. so what can we conclude, most animals are now transmigrating as humans, (many "people" are a living proof to this satement)
geoffrey 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Thanks, Subham. It suddenly occured to me as I was writing - which you may have picked up in my final comments - that I wasn't looking wide enough. Good to have confirmation. Thanks.
