Need prosperity?

Chant the kanaka dhara stavam (meaning gold-showering-hymn)

It praises the Divine Mother Lakshmi.

This hymn was written by Adi Sankaracharya.

The story is like this :

One day during collecting bhiksha(alms),he reached a house which was of a poor brahmin. At that time nothing was there in the house for alms, but the lady of that house didnt want to sent Sankara empty-handed.She rushed to the kitchen and could find only one fruit in the kitchen to give as alms.

She placed that fruit into his plate with shame. Then Sankaracharya, much pleased with her act, closed his eyes and started singing the KANAKA-DHARA-STAVAM with mother Lakshmi in his mind.

When he completed the reciting,a heap of golden fruits started raining to the yard by the divine grace of the Mother.

Hence it is believed that those who recite this hymn gets the grace of Mother Lakshmi.

My friend, India is one of the poorest and most desolate(financially) countries in the world. Don't you think that if these 'chants' worked, India would be using them to become the richest nation on Earth!!!!!!!! wake up! they are man made meditation aids. The Gita itself condemns praying to other than Krsna...GOD IS THE GREATEST so take no false gods. Qasim Peace

Yes, we must have faith. It will help India, Only that crores of people either do not know or do not have the time. We are worshipping that "manifestation" of God. It is impossible for common Man to imagine a formless God and that is why Man needs a form to worship. A realized self can perceive a formless God. Man can worship the God manifested as God of wealth and achieve the goal of wealth. It need not be just money. Wealth can be of any form.

In India, wealth is improperly distributed. By the way there is an interesting quote...Economics books start with the sentence "India is a rich country with poor people".

It worked or me and so it can for India. But remember there are also people with nagative thoughts like you. It is with positive mind that thses mantras would work wonders. Indian politicians instead of helping the porr are robbing them of the nations wealth. If they can collectively do the necessary rituals and homa I'm sure India will be richer than US. Do not blame the mantras but blame yourself for having such nagative thoughts. The sages would not have wasted their time and effort in reciting such mantras during ytheir time and have recorded them useful purposes for generation to come.

If you are not interested it does not matter but do not influence your nagative thoughts to others.
