This Simple Questions Should be Answered

This Muslim Guy asked me these questions:

Maccoy, answer this one, simple question. You claim that Hindus do not worship many gods, but just the one supreme God. Why would the supreme God then mainfest himself in human form? Would this not have the effect of allowing any human to claim that he was God, or for any human to worship another human as God? And that would then corrupt the belief that there is only one supreme God?

Whereas in Islam, we believe that God will never appear in ANY visible form on earth, as this would open the gates for people to start worshipping the created rather than the creator. The proof is in Hinduism itself; as you said, many Hindus worship beings other than the supreme God. Would this confusion have occured if your supreme God had not manifested himself in the likeness of a man, a creation of His?

Why would the supreme God then mainfest himself in human form?

--forms come from god not from humans.. so, if there's human form also god has to have a form. When we see krsna with face, mouth, arms, hands etc. it is not that krsna has human form, but the opposite.. we have forms that come from god

Would this not have the effect of allowing any human to claim that he was God, or for any human to worship another human as God?

--every right concept can be used to speculate and pervert.. the concept that god has no form is actually to say that he is inferior to the humans and it is in itself a form of blasphemy and actually atheism. God has everything, also form..

And that would then corrupt the belief that there is only one supreme God?

-- not if understood properly

Whereas in Islam, we believe that God will never appear in ANY visible form on earth, as this would open the gates for people to start worshipping the created rather than the creator

--if you think that you, the muslims or other cathegory have not the capacity to recognize that god is omnipotent and supreme (allah) and you do not understand that he can show a personality and an aspect.. it is better that god, for you, remains hidden. If you see him you blasphemy him, so god, very mercifully, fools you saying that he has no form.

God's form is not visible on earth.. right.. but if god wants he can manifest himself and the earth turns in spiritual world, paradise or whatever name you like more

The proof is in Hinduism itself; as you said, many Hindus worship beings other than the supreme God

--a problem is also for the ones who think that god is so poor and not important that he cannot have subordinates, an entourage, ministers, angels, messengers and so on. In this way god is almost nullified. I can be a leader of a society and have directors and assistants, the same for a president with ministers and secretaries.. and god has to do everything by himself. So, again, the danger of deviate is not only in hinduism

Would this confusion have occured if your supreme God had not manifested himself in the likeness of a man, a creation of His?

--god is omnipotent and he does not need to borrow a form from anyone, so he manifest himself with his form not other's form. Ignorance and illusion has various aspects.. the fact that there's a plurality of devas makes someone mistake them to the supreme.. that's a deviation. Another deviation is yours when you believe that god cannot have ministers, directors, ambassadors and so on

allah means supreme.. the supreme cannot be without a form and it is unlikely that he has not many devotees eager to serve him as chiefs in various departments of the nature

be a good muslim, do not blaspheme god

being supreme he can do whatever he likes.

we cannot question god.

<< Would this not have the effect of allowing any human to claim that he was God, or for any human to worship another human as God? >>

no. because just the form is not a criteria for judging who is god. krishna lifted govardhan hill on his little finger, as a todler he toppled a heavy cart by a kick; je jumped from a high cliff, etc. any one who cannot do as krishna did, cannot be called a god.

<< And that would then corrupt the belief that there is only one supreme God? >>

no. that question does not arise based on what i said above.

besides, god can appear any any form,

and it may confuse some, but not all.

hinduism is not a set of beliefs.

it is the realization of spiritual truths.

you can accept them and live by them.

then you are a hindu.
