maadhav
what it means please? His = Krishna's Divine = Godly Grace = Kindness, Mercy So, when we call a swami "his divine grace" we mean he/she is Krishna's kindness upon us? is it so? The other question is: at what point a person or HK's call a person His Divine Grace? do you know any one who arbitrarily identifies himself as His Divine Grace? Guest guest
So, when we call a swami "his divine grace" we mean he/she is Krishna's kindness upon us? is it so? --it is a good interpretation, another one is that the master is the embodiement of the mercy, or kindness of god upon us. Krsna, is gentle, he wants to save us, and he sends the spiritual masters The other question is: at what point a person or HK's call a person His Divine Grace? ---gaudya vaishnavas call in this way the spiritual master, in iskcon gaudya math the masters do not want to be called in public his divine grace wanting to leave this title only to bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada but it is a formal detail, the guru is to be the expression of god's grace or he's a cheater "do you know any one who arbitrarily identifies himself as His Divine Grace?" --i think yes
maadhav
<< in iskcon gaudya math the masters do not want to be called in public his divine grace wanting to leave this title only to bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada >> that is nice, but one HK writes (HDG) after his name. For a while i though he means he is a disciple of HriDayanand Goswami (HDG). But he really means His Divine Grace. Let us pray he really becomes HDG. thanks for the post. Jahnava Nitai Das
Within ISKCON the title "His Divine Grace" is reserved solely for Srila Prabhupada as per the GBC law. In the past others have been called by this title, but it has now been forbidden.
