Guest guest Report post Posted January 22, 2004 I AM LOOKING INTO THE HINDU RELIGION AND HAVE BEEN READING. I AM INTERESTED BUT AM UNABLE TO FIND HOW THE HINDU RELIGION FEELS ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY.
maadhav 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2004 it is sin. one needs to get well, free from it. the vedic literature has no mention of it to my knowledge. it probably did not exist in the vedic societies.
Guest guest Report post Posted January 22, 2004 I don't think it talks about Homosexuality, but it deals with Euruchs, I think in the Mahabharata where a warrior had to be re-born as a Euruch so another warrior who killed him in the previous life (I think Bhisma) who had principles never to hit a woman or a woman-like man could not attack him. The euruch was placed at the front of the battle and was on the side of the righteous - the Pandavas. I guess homosexulity is detrimental to spiritual growth, but then again so is too much promiscuous hetrosexual sex! This is mainly due to the lifestyle that homosexuals lead.
