Guest guest Report post Posted July 24, 2003 Whenever I try to ask something from krishna , the opposite happens. For example, if I say I need a new part-time job with good salary, my boss decreases my salary by half! I say I want to work more for money for my college education, my employer says take some time off. She used to like me, now she almost hates me. I turn to krishna, but everything I ask will go into another direction. I say I don't want all these material desires for me, then I get tempted too much. I say I need to make money in the summer so that i can support my self (in the future) and pay for my college, but krishna made my employer almost fire me and decrease my salary in half. Is the life of all devotees like this or is it just that krishna personally hates me?
Subala 1 Report post Posted July 24, 2003 If you sitting on a nail and praying to Krishna to help you. And you honest in your prayer. Krishna may showing you a way to different bench with cushion on it instead of nail. PS. on personal note - everytime I had problems before they were blessings 1-2 years later and best thing ever happened to me.

Guest guest Report post Posted December 21, 2003 no.whatever has happend it was to happen and whatever is to happen they are bound to happen.even if there's is hatered for krishna in you, that's because he wanted it and even if there's love for krishna in you that's because he wanted it. Guest guest Report post Posted December 22, 2003 Krishna is the experiencer of unlimited pleasure - all of His desires are always fulfilled - therefore He is not capable of hate (hate meaning a profound dislike for something obstructing one's happiness). Krishna can only love and even His scorn is a type of love because it is never motivated by lust or hate as these are vices that do not touch Krishna who is situated in pure goodness. You aren't giving Krishna enough happiness so he is gradually smashing your false ego so that real love will flow from your heart. Krishna wants you completely, you should feel happy to be so accepted.
Guest guest Report post Posted December 22, 2003 Hare Krishna, Do not worry. You are not alone. This happens with most devotees of Lord Krishna. HE builds you. If our Ahamkar increases, HE breaks us completely and strips all wealth, memory and knowledge from us. Then HE again makes us much better than we ever were. This is HIS play. This is happening to me, happened to one great singer in Tamil Nadu(Kanna Das, 1950s or 60s). This singer was an alcoholic, went to women and did everything. When he became a devotee of LORD, Kanna Das changed and composed many film songs in praise of Lord. I have met another person personally from Svadhyaya movement in Tamil Nadu who was also a drunkard and used to beat his wife and children regularly. After Lord's devotee introduced Gita, he chaged. Everything happens for good.
