Simple Spaghetti Sauce

1 15 oz can tomato sauce

1 14.5 oz can stewed tomatoes -- finely chopped & undrained

3/4 cup reduced sodium tomato juice

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms -- undrained

1 tablespoon Splenda or Sugar Twin

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

 

Spray a slow cooker container with olive oil-flavored cooking spray. In

prepared container, combine tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, tomato

juice, and water. Stir in onion and undrained mushrooms. Add Splenda,

Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Mix well to

combine. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Mix well before

serving.
