Guest guest Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Hi Fraggle Talking of Star Trek (again ) I liked the Next Generation series' best - the one with Patrick Stewart, who is such a good actor. I used to watch all the Captain Kirk ones, but was not that impressed, apart from a few episodes. Of course, none of them are as good as Doctor Who. Guest guest Report post Posted June 13, 2006 HI Fraggle I thought NG the best, didn't like deep Space 9 at all, liked Voyager, didn't like Enterprise. I see the next three Star Trek films will be based between Enterprise and the Kirk series. It doesn't sound too exciting to me. I like a bit of humour... I never thought slapstick worked so well in Dr Who.... Tom Baker's 2nd last series included him being smothered by a big green blob, a tax collecting alien who was flushed down a plug hole, the Catweazel reject, the security guards dressed in the left overs from Freddie Mercury's outfit from the Crazy Little Thing Called Love video, and the sadly never-forgettable Nimon incident.... not a good period for the show IMHO! Funily enough, there were two pretty good stories in that series... but they never finished making the best one! BB Peter

Guest guest Report post Posted June 13, 2006 I agree. The early ones were OK, but I think Pertwee was the last good Doctor. Always preferred Tom Baker as Rasputin, myself.... I have soft spot for Star Trek, though, it reminds me of my father.... he'd sit glued to screen open-mouthed....
