Guest guest Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Hi Nikki Have a hug, I know how you feel. The new Doctor is different, but I think he is good. He is young, and that is difficult to get used to. Colin is not so keen, but 'he doesn't know why'. I think DT plays it with a touch of Patrick Troughton, which is good, and also a touch of Tom Baker. I hope you like it when it comes around. We are on about the 5thor 6th episode of the season tonight - the second of a two parter which left us with everything going wrong and chaotic. Guest guest Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Hi Peter/Nikki Colin just pointed out that Peter Davison was younger and I was surprised. He acted it a bit older I thought. Guest guest Report post Posted June 10, 2006 It was the direction of the Colin Baker series' I was not so keen on. He is good though - have seen him on stage, also Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee. Unfortunately I never saw the first two though. I liked Colin Baker too (actually, I liked all of 'em). Unfortunately his last series suffered from some rather poor scripts, and sabotage from Michael Grade (who happened to be having an affair with Colin Baker's wife at the time!) I also really like the audio stories Colin Baker's done... BB Peter

Guest guest Report post Posted June 13, 2006 Hi Nikki It is difficult when you like one, to have to get used to the next. Colin likes him now - so there is hope for you. The general concensus on one of the Dr Who that I am on is that the last story, the Satan Pit, was the best ever Doctor Who and should have been a film - and would have been a much better film than the Paul McGann one.
