Guest guest
Note: forwarded message attached.Peter H To help you stay safe and secure online, we've developed the all new Security Centre. Hi Peter, I'm actually not that new but have never posted before, as a result the post I am trying to get up is in new poster limbo awaiting approval. I'm worried because the Walk for Farm Animals in NYC is this weekend and they just changed it from Sat to Sunday. Iwant to make sure everyone knows so that there will still be a good turn out. I was hoping (since I saw you had just recently posted today) if you could pass on this message from the walk coordinator. If you could it would be great. If not, I totally understand. Thanks! Alana Vegan_Chat member Dear Walk Participants, Due to a permit conflict with the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, the Walk for Farm Animals has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 2nd. The time and place remain the same. (10:30 Registration, Noon Walk at Columbus Circle). I sincerely hope everyone can still attend and I apologize for the inconvenience of this late notice. If you cannot attend, but already preregistered, please let me know so that we can make arrangements to collect your pledges and mail you your t-shirt. As a memorial to the billions of cows, pigs, chickens and other animals abused and killed in factory farms and slaughterhouses each year, let's make sure NYC knows Sunday is World Farm Animals Day. Please spread the word and I'll see you on Sunday! Kelley Wind Volunteer Coordinator (212) 217-9359 P.S. - (I have 50 boxes of Tofutti Cuties in my freezer to share and chocolate chip chewies on their way from Whole Earth Bakery...so don't miss out!!) Guest guest
Well - it is a little naughty to pass on something that is waiting for moderation, and I would rather it hadn't been. We do ask that people join in chat before forwarding messages, and I was being on the safe side, and waiting for Peter (the owner) to okay it. Guest guest
Hi Peter Please don't forward e-mails to the list from people on moderation... the reason people are on moderation before they join in with chat is because we don't want lots of spam! I get lots of complaints when people just post spam, so we came up with the general rule that people who join in with chat can post advertisements, and those who don't join in with chat can't - and, yes, that does include vegan related adverts! Thanks :-) BB Peter

Guest guest
I don't think that I would. I know there are a few little things I wish were different like baby stretch marks for instance, but don't think it would be worth what you go through. Guest guest
I think it was last year we watched a show called The Swan, where these women went through life transformation which included losing weight, getting in shape, councelling and cosmetic surgery, then they had a beauty contest in the end. The team overseeing it chose everything to be done, but the person had the final say so. They did all the cosmetic surgery at once, they recovered some and started the excercise programs. Most of these poor people had tummy tucks, lipo and things done to their face and were in so much pain that their morale was really in the toilet (like it was all that high to begin with.) and I felt so bad for them. In the end, they were all really glad they did it and looked gorgious. I don't think I could do it though, even if I had the money!earthstrm <nikkimack wrote: I don't think that I would. Guest guest
Hi Jonnie It certainly couldn't be worth all that trouble though, and beauty isn't everything.
