Guest guest Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Well, did you watch Kennedy lamblast Rummy this morning? That should have lightened your day <g> For our friends on the other sides of the ponds (UK to the east, Australia to the west), did your broadcast stations carry Rummy's comments about the troops of other nations not being up to snuff or as good as U.S. troops? Now, anyone here from Canada, we are seriously thinking of immigrating. No joke. Guest guest Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Hi Lynda > For our friends on the other sides of the ponds (UK to the east, Australia to the west), did your broadcast > stations carry Rummy's comments about the troops of other nations not being up to snuff or as good as U.S. > troops? Now, as anyone who knows me will know, I am not at all fond of any army, and I'm in no way "patriotic", but it has to be said that the number of British troops killed by US "friendly fire" is rather high, and yet not a single death caused by "friendly fire" by British troops. Of course, most British troops do have experience of doing service in a scenario not too different from Iraq at the moment, since most of them have served in Northern Ireland at some point during their careers! Still, we must remember that Rumsfeld is the man who thinks that drinking Formaldahyde and Formic acid is safe, so we shouldn't take him too seriously. Guest guest Report post Posted June 23, 2005 > Myself I dream of Arizona... Good lord, why? Well Northern Arizona is the most beautiful place I've ever lived. I love the mountains and the crisp cool air along with the wonderful pine trees. However, Phoenix (and that whole area) is a pit from hell filled with morons, massive pollution and it's easily 115 every day in the summer. Screw a bunch of that. Might not be much left of AZ if these 5 fires that are burning aren't full contained pretty damn quick. Talisman

Guest guest Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Ah yes, and the joy of flash floods and wind storms that literally lift barns off the top of animals! When we were at the big Arab shows during Feb. one year we all woke up to find horses standing up to their knees in water and the following year the barns were found a mile down the road! That was the last year we hauled to those shows! Lynda - ChemGeek <chemgeek Thursday, June 23, 2005 2:51 PM Re: Re: pain in my a** > > Myself I dream of Arizona... > > Good lord, why?
