Re: Flu

Hi All,

I have uploaded into the File section of the board a Microsoft Access

2000 database containing Stephens formula database posted earlier.

I have also added the ability to perform multiple searches on the database.

For example, one can search all the formulas for headaches with a red

tongue. This is done by either highlighting a keyword in one of the fields

and pressing the " Filter current set with current Field with this Keyword "

button. Another way is to select a field by just clicking on one of the

fields and then entering a keyword at the bottom of the screen.

You can return back to the unfiltered database by pressing the " remove

filter " button at the toolbar.

Enjoy!

Guy

It seems that I can't provide a direct link since file system

uses dynamic links, so the direct link changes occasionally.

Did you try to look under the " Files " section for the file, it's just

after the file " elegant.jpg

" ?

the WHO says that there are now approximately 12,000 cases of swine flu in the world. To date there have been 86 deaths.

86 deaths per 12,000 people is about .75 % or three quarters of one percent. Another way to say that is that in one thousand cases there would on average be 7.5 deaths.

I would certainly say several things about that.

It is an illness.

It may well be more dangerous than other flu infections

Each year on average in the US there are 36,000 flu related deaths.

Each flu is different in type and severity and stats.

Most of the deaths seem to have taken place in Mexico where health standards are poor.

About half of the cases have been in the US but far fewer deaths have taken place here

Mexico city has not reported any new cases in a week or so... which is odd

Personally while I will be alert for this illness and would surely take symptoms seriously, I refuse to be terrified by it.

In listening to all of the news items on it, it seems more clear that the matter is being over stated, and we may be being set up to be overly dependent on these huge bureaucracies.

if we are willing to be trained to become terrified and they can do this several times in rapid order, a great many people may be ripe for being manipulated by these

bureaucrats and bureaucratic swine...

I keep my full range of options open...

keep away from people who are sneezing and coughing when possible

wash my hands during the day... as I deem it wise to do.

keep some alcohol gel in the car for hand washing

keep zinc lozenges on hand

maintain decent nourishment

keep good supply of herbs and nutrients on hand

share knowledge with others to continue to be better informed about this and other

health issues

keep open my option to see a doc if I am feeling the need to do so.

remain cautious but not allow anyone to terrify me with their news flashes.

fear helps us to be alert but terror paralyzes the rational mind.

with any illness or injury, observe the severity or potential severity of symptoms and then determine if you can or can not manage it on your own or if you need medical assistance.

Very well-written, Michael. A voice of reason!
