Cortisone aka steroids can weaken or destroy the connective tissues that

make up a joint, namely the ligaments and tendons.

Acupuncture can help your joint and it does Not have any adverse reactions

associated with it.

I have used acupuncture for my shoulders. I tore my rotator cuff tendons in

both shoulders and I had 6 weeks of acupuncture and it cured my tendon tears

100%.

You need to be a strong advocate for yourself and if you don't want to have

a treatment, then that is your right and if the provider can't understand

that, it is time to get a new provider.

If one of my patients want to try something alternative/natural and as long

as it is not dangerous, I let them. I have a list of natural medicine

providers that I also refer to.

The doc wanted to inject cortisone into my wrist for my ganglion cyst. He

said it would help with the inflammation. I politely declined, to his shock,

and he wanted to know why. I told him that I felt I would have a bad

reaction to it. I actually don't remember why cortisone would be bad but I

have always read in natural health posts that it is, and I will never

consider using it....but was wondering if anyone had some good reasons why

cortisone is not good to put in our bodies so I can have a better response

for next time. Much to my surprise, the whole waiting room at the dr. office

was filled with people waiting to get their " injections " . Wow.
