Arsenic is being used as a pesticide in chickens and pigs. It is also used for

growth.

Farmers were lead to believe that the all arsenic passed out in the urine. Not

so. So animal  waste used as a fertilizer can be a problem also. You really need

to buy organic chicken to escape an accumulation of arsenic in your brain, bones

and tissue. Here is a study on pigs.

Rice has been a problem for a long time. It used to be believed that rice from

Bangladesh and countries well known for arsenic poisoning needed to be avoided.

Studies in the last years have shown that American rice is sometimes even worse

for arsenic.

In the last year it has been discovered that the bran of the rice accumulates

the most arsenic so while we thought brown rice was a healthy choice it is not

so because of this. Baby cereals are a huge problem with the levels of arsenic

in them being high.

You can find various news items here on my website as well as links to studies.
