Bravo for you Dianne--I so wish more people would get tested and they may be

surprised so many health conditions are caused by Celiac disease. I am so happy

for your son that you found this out early in his life. Many of his delays most

likely will be cured. He may still need extra supplements for a while. I would

talk to a pediatric alternative doctor for advice on that. The small intestine

takes a while to come back to normal after adhering to a strict gluten-free

diet, sometimes 2 years. The whole family should be tested. Out of my entire

family, only one cared to get tested and he does have Celiac disease too and

that is a nephew who had severe intestinal difficulties (IBS) for years. He is

no longer suffering with IBS. Be really really careful about hidden glutens.

They are everywhere, including cough drops, and the list goes on and on.
