Guest guest
Hi guys, Does anyone know if I can add essential oil to the oil in my oil lamps? I have antique lamps I use in the winter and I buy the ultrapure lamp oil. (no lamp oil scent) I thought that if I could add an essential oil or two to the lamp oil it would act as a way to light and scent my room at the same time. Thanks! Guest guest
I do all the time. I don't have fancy nice lamps:) just dollar store variety that I spruced up. But I have never had any problems at all. I add I'd say about five drops to about one and a half cups. One and a half cups is what my lamp holds:) It is plenty to scent it. When you do add it, it will take a while to get the scent up the wick, or add a new wick. Don't put it on the wick however:) My brainy cousin thought this would make it smell faster, and the wick just burned clear through! Made a mess inside the lamp, and well, lost him a wick:) Dew Drop Blessings,Soseneda Si hoc legere scis ninium eruditionis habes.ICQ# 47264444MSN Messenger: SosenedaAIM: SosenedaA"Knowledge is power.
