Guest guest
I understand on Coast there is still ground up chicken feces in feed, and dead cows in feed. How come if we were supposed to stop this in 95, it is still happening?

As long as there is money made off it, it isn't going away. Good reason to go to natural, free-range beef. Besides, in my opinion there is no way to avoid exposure to mad cow. The prions only are destroyed at something like 800 degrees F. At that temperature everything around the prion is already ash. That means if you eat in a kitchen that has had beef prepared in it using any surface, utinsels, pots or pans that have had contact with beef you risk picking it up even if you do not eat beef. Same with restaurants, even, probably, the air you breathe. Here is an article talking about the origins of mad cow: http://home.earthlink.net/~astrology/udder.htm Kat
Guest guest
Well gees. Why pick on beef? Anything that is commercially raised for meat has to grab your attention. I buy from a mill that makes many of their own products. Just to be a little more sure about what I am feeding the critters that I eat (mostly eggs from chickens). There is pretty much only “good” ingredients in it. But, to be sure, from what the research states, prions actually have what I would say “eternal life” ascribed to them. You give commercial feed to your animals, that has animal carcass in it, that is infected with the various spongeiform diseases, you can be infected by putting it on the soil you grow your garden in. That is supposedly one of the ways that deer and elk get infected with it. But, I remember reading some things stating that particular immune systems can handle these things as well. Otherwise, we’d probably all be already sick with, what, mad human? I know people who follow Kosher laws who won’t eat out because the restaurant serves bacon in the morning. Too much risk in it for them. Pig gets all over everything. Another thought would be that the prions last on from the animal carcass all the way to a gelatin capsule that is made from animal source. You get it with your vitamins and herbs. Guest guest
Well, good grief. Read last note to Mike. I wasn’t commenting on the rightness or wrongness, or any judgment on “kosher.” Just the principal behind why something has to be kosher for them, and the whole process. Prions can be spread from a knife cutting meat infected by it, and then going on to cut other meat. They are spread by burying the carcass, spreading it once rotted, etc.etc. The point is if it you are going to worry about it, what are you going to do about it. I don’t think that any “god” ever said anything at all about eating prions in any meat. So, I guess if you want to, you can. I don’t really care. Guest guest
I don't understand how any of it could be going on. Did you see where the FDA is going to make all farmers micochip all farm animals and keep an accurate record of what animal goes where. Why is there such a big deal going on about domesticated animals and their identity, when they let thousands of cows come across our borders every day with only 5% being inspected? Guest guest
I remember sometime ago that they took out a whole herd of deer that were sick with it in N. Michigan. And at present, they are warning that we (American government) can not stop bird flu from getting here because of wild bird migrations. And they want to chip our animals. Its only a prelude to putting a chip into our bodies. Don’t radio waves cause cancer? Look at the news about cell phones. Do you want a cell phone in your body, even if away from your brain. What will it interfere with? Do they have any idea? We need to be left alone to take care of ourselves. Don’t need anybody else doing it for me. Thus far, I’ve cared more about what happens to me than anybody I’ve met let alone people who want to care for me that don’t even know me. Guest guest
They say (don't ask me who they are) kids now get asthma because they don't play in the dirt any more ........ sounds reasonable Jane - Joseph Toman And if you cross the border you are open to all kindsof illnesses because your immune system is socompromised as to not to be able to ward off what thepeople there take daily in food.Seems we are so "clean" we cannot resist some simplegerms. Guest guest
kids and or people get asthma and other diseases becasue they dring to much milk and eat too much dairy products - cheeze is a good one, as well as ice cream. Look at not-milk site. Playing in the dirt can give a kid worms and that is a whole nother subject as to how many parasites we carry around in our bodies and never cleanse them out, causing cancer and all kinds of other diseases. Many caused by make-up, body sprays, etc we NEED to be clean and nice smelling?? --- Jane MacRoss <HIGHFIELD wrote: > They say (don't ask me who they are) kids now get > asthma because they don't play in the dirt any more > ........ sounds reasonable > > Jane > - > Joseph Toman > And if you cross the border you are open to all > kinds > of illnesses because your immune system is so > compromised as to not to be able to ward off what > the > people there take daily in food. > > Seems we are so " clean " we cannot resist some > simple > germs. > >

Guest guest
Well, costco must be good. At least it gets it out to everyone and must be safe. Actually, it really all comes down to money. Right. And corporations have your best intersts at heart - right. I know they only sell good stuff and we need to go deeper to see what they sell. Like Tyson who hid drugs in their chickens some time ago - Sorry. I just hate this world. --- SHARON JAGGER <sharonjagger wrote: > I havent eaten anything yet today other than 2 cups > of coffee. > I ususally only eat once a day unless I am working. > last night I had salmon filets ( frozen from costco) > and a baked potato with real butter. > > > - > " mike man " <mgsboediitodpc > > Wednesday, March 15, 2006 1:34 PM > Re: Re: feeding > animals to animals > > > > " what tastes good and " > > So you have not yet learned to eat what is good > for > > you? Guest guest
Do you know how sweet hemlock tastes... Why not? Perhaps because you know it is bad. And knowing that you will not take it into your system. Do you know how bad soda drinks are. if not why not? Do you understand how bad mike is? Do you care? But it all tastes good. So it must be okay. Get a grip. --- mike man <mgsboediitodpc wrote: > " what tastes good and " > So you have not yet learned to eat what is good for > you? Guest guest
Hi, The pits of apricots have B17, which is laitrille...and I think I've heard that the other fruits seeds contain it too. Laitrille is considered to be a good cancer treatment, but illegal to sell as that in this country..in the form of supplements. Can sell it now, but can't say it cures cancer. I wonder how a person could manage to get apricot pits down? Lor Hi Mike: The cultures that eat apple seeds, apricot pits, peach seeds, cherry pits, all containing a type of cyanide, do quite well. As it turns out, the particular form of cyanide kills cancer cells. Your body’s regular cells has an enzyme that deactivates the cyanide molecule. The cancer cells do not. They die. I forget what that enzyme is. I’ve sat down and gluttoned out on cherries, and ate the pits (swallowed them). Never even got sick. On the other hand, if you were to throw a wilted branch of wild cherry tree over the fence to one’s goats, they could die of cyanide poisoning. Apparently the leaves are a little different. I have neighbors that are paranoid of that. Supposedly they’ve seen animals die from eating the leaves of apple, peach, cherry trees after they get wilted. Don’t know what happens in that chemical process. Ed
Guest guest
Ed I have used black walnut tincture, wormwood capsules, and pure cinnamon capsules for an intestinal cleanse once, recommended by Dr. Hulda Clark. It lasted one month and I lost weight without trying, cured whatever ailed me at the time, and I put my cats on it also (as she recommends to deparasite) after giving them parsley water for a week to tone the kidneys. At the time, I had bad gastro reflux and you wouldn't think I could handle the cinnamon capsules and the wormwood, but it didn't bother me.. Lor I know about cherry pits. I’ve cracked open peach pits and eaten them as well. Not quite the same quantity, even though they are larger, as the cherry pits. And then I eat the whole apple most of the time. When they are in season. Only time I like apples. Fresh. I’ve not seen an animal die from eating the leaves of these various trees. Just other people vouching for that one. And, I don’t want to see one of my animals die from eating the leaves either. Wilted leaves that is. If I thought that I had a parasite problem, I would eat a tea, or some brew, with black walnut in it. I’d have to know more about it though and how much. I remember reading an herbal by Culpeper 20 years ago. He wrote about fennel seed and its use in losing weight. Steep a teaspoon of fennel into a cup of hot water (having boiled it) and then drink it. I did so. I did that at about 10pm. Went to sleep. Was married then. I woke up, and woke her up too, about 1:30am shivering, really shivering. Ended up with electric blanket on high and some other blankets on as well. Took awhile but went back to sleep, when warm again. Then I woke up to pee. Sheesh. Pee and pee, and pee some more. I went to a school that morning where I was maintenance. The people there said that I looked up awful (no jokes, more awful than normal). Made me go see the nurse. She thought I looked dehydrated, especially when I told her about all the bathroom stuff. I lost 8 pounds of weight in one night. Reckon that was most of the water that was available in me. People there sent me home. Some years later, I read the same formula in another herbal (I collect them). This one said to take one teaspoon of the diffusion every hour. It helps to burn fat. So, obviously I very seriously overdosed, or had an allergic reaction to the massive dose. So, yep, you’re right. Doses are important. ed
Guest guest
Joe, I'm sure you wish you could have talked her into an alternative treatment, but some people just can't be...try not to beat yourself up on it. Too many trust their Dr's and are loyal to them..even when those Dr's don't give them any options...they give them chemo and or radiation..no other choices..and insurance companies don't either. I wish we all could find a good naturopathic Dr. and afford one, but they are getting really hard to find, even if one could afford it or just took the money somehow to do it. I'm sorry about your wife...it's sad. My dad died from a cancer also and never was told he even had it for 6 years! Lor Lor, how much I understand. My wife died needlessly because of cancer. After ten years. I still have a guilt complex. I really should have forced her. No one could feel as bad as me...
