Guest guest
Hi Joe, She drinks about 2litres a day and that's just the booze (just kidding). She does her drills at least twice a day and some days a couple of times in between...... As for kidney, it depends how you mean. I can get her balanced in a LONG session but she goes right out again v soon afterwards - possibly cos she won't clear her NLs - I have a go at them pretty much each time I see her but they are plus plus plus sensitive and she reacts like a cat on a hot tin roof. Actually that is how I got her to take on board the fact that the had a TW problem - i was doing her NLs and she came REALLY close to whopping me. - " Joe Wadsworth " <joewnews-3 Monday, May 30, 2005 3:43 PM Re: weight loss > Hi Cris, > > A couple of questions: > > How much is she drinking? > How often is she doing the homolateral cross crawl and > cross crawl? > What state is her Kidney meridian in? > > - Joe W > > > --- " hunter.cris " <hunter.cris wrote: > >> Hi all, >> >> I have hit a brick wall with a client of mine who is >> doing all the drills and more and is just piling on >> a kilo a week. Guest guest
Hi mary, thanks for the link but I couldn't get it to work for me. page unavailable!!! Any ideas? - M J Nelson Monday, May 30, 2005 8:00 PM Re: weight loss Chris, Go to http://www.zpointprocess.com/ . There is a link on the home page to click to listen to a short ZPoint session with Grant. I find ZPoint more effective and easier to use than EFT. I do still find myself tapping as I do the ZPoint process with my cue word. It is pretty intuitive and combines well with other modalities. I am listening to some of the Silva Alpha tapes and find myself doing my cue word instinctively. It is great. Guest guest
Hi Cris, See if she can cut back a bit on how much she drinks. And no more carbonated drinks if she does. Also, see if she will massage the adrenals (#25 of the TW sedation list). Along with helping TW it will also strengthen the kidneys, since the adrenals are right on top of them. You may have already tried these, it sound as though you've already done a great deal. But if you haven't, these are my suggestions. Good luck Cris. - Joe W

[ snip ] > > Anyone got any bright ideas????? I feel like I have run out of them ......... Hi Cris, Interesting post and you have received lots of good answers to it, so let me just throw a few things into the pot. One of the big things I got from studying with Doc in 2004 is that when you are a practitioner of any kind of changework, you must make the rules. My rules are simple. Clients must pay me according to my charging scales. Clients must obey direct therapeutic instructions as far as they possibly can. Failure to comply with the rules means termination of our relationship. When I started out, I let the rules slide for all the wrong reasons - not least the belief that I needed the money more than I needed to enforce the rules. Repeatedly and painfully I got involved with people I should have turned away at the initial interview. Then I decided to learn how to attract and screen for better quality clients. I decided I was only interested in people who were willing and eager to change. I pushed the prices up. All these things made life easier and more pleasant and I started to get better results. My fears of financial hardship proved unfounded. Building rapport, using convincer strategies, being pleasant and accommodating all help. It's like Milton Erickson said: 'I'm happy for the client to do what I want however they choose.' I'm thinking of getting that tattooed on my hands. I would take this woman to task. I would tell her plainly that her weight is likely the result of emotional issues that she needs to address. She can either fully and frankly disclose what those issues are and trust your professional opinion by complying with whatever drills you see fit to clear them up or she can leave. You'll make it as pleasant as possible but there comes a point where she has to trust your professionalism. If she can't even bring herself to say the EFT acceptance statement, I wouldn't be working on her weight. To me, her inability to say that is evidence of a Global PR (have a look at David Feinstein's Energy Psychology). She could well be reversed against any kind of positive change. Get going on that. 'Even though I do not deeply and completely accept myself, I choose to be open to entertaining the possibility of hopefully one day accepting myself at least a bit.' Literally. Start with that. Ironically, as I sit typing this, the phone just rang in my office. Someone asked if they had reached my company, I said yes. They asked how much I charged per hour. I said the initial consultation is free but I don't charge by the hour. So they asked how much I charge by the session. I asked for their name, they ignored me and repeated their request for a per session price. I said the initial consultation was free and after that I quote for the total work. They said I must have some idea of the price per session. So I began to explain politely how I work like a builder or an architect - I need to see what I'm working with before I quote. Halfway through they just hung up on me. What does that exchange tell you about that person? How ready do you think they are to work with me? I take great comfort in knowing that even Doc has had experiences of people who reacted to him badly and they could not or would not work together. I take further comfort in knowing that it made him as angry as it makes me. There was a post about this on his other list a while ago. Brad Blanton, the author of Radical Honesty (a book I enjoyed and recommend) is a psychotherapist in Washington D.C. He's been in practice for decades. He gives workshops, has written books. He was even trained in hypnosis by Milton Erickson. In Radical Honesty, he said that in his practice, one third of the people get a lot from therapy. One third of them make a few half-assed changes. And one third of them get nothing at all. One third. Someone should teach him EFT. :-) But that's beside the point. The point is that he's rich and happy getting great results for only one third of his clients. Be confident in cutting your losses if they won't play ball. Have fun, Phil

I was at a late-summer outdoor social event, and noticed that a girl off to my left was twitching. Seemed that she didn't much care for bees, which she confirmed. I said I had a few tools that could help... After I mangled an NLP fast phobia cure, I introduced EFT. " Rubbing right here, repeat after me: even though I'm afraid of bees, I totally and completely accept and appreciate myself. " She gives me a blank look. I try again, and she says, " but I do accept and appreciate myself " . And she wouldn't budge. After trying several different frames, I was just about ready to give up. Then I intuit that I should use Emotrance. " And when you think about bees flying all around you, where do you feel it? " And she felt her fear of bees like a vice grip around her heart. I told her to try moving that feeling, and she was able to do that. Then I had her move it out of her body, out an arm or a leg, whichever felt right to her. As the feeling moved down her arm, she got all giggly. I told her to let it move all the way out her arm and disperse. " okay, I guess we're done now " , and we went back to the outdoor gathering. She sought me out a little while later. " Look, I got stung! " , and she proudly points out a little red welt on her leg. She was happy that her phobic response was gone. I did take a pre-SUDS scale, and I'd rate that a 9->0. http://starfields.org/Oceans_Of_Energy.htm (Emotrance Volume 1) I was once sitting next to a girl on an airplane who didn't much like to fly. Well, the flying part was okay, it was the takeoffs and landings that she didn't like. So usually she dealt with that by consuming alcoholic beverages. I said that phobias like that are easy to cure with the right techniques, and explained how EFT and Emotrance work. Interested? " no thanks " . After we landed, I asked how that one was. " hmm? Wasn't thinking about it. " Accidental covert emotrance? And she wanted to keep her phobia. Oops. > > She is toxic - all her Nl are v tender and have remained that way for > months. Guest guest
Thanks for this Joe. Yes, i have already done this. She massages most bits of her body at some point or other in her routine - she just does it V gently as it is so sensitive... - " Joe Wadsworth " <joewnews-3 Tuesday, May 31, 2005 5:57 PM Re: weight loss > Hi Cris, > > See if she can cut back a bit on how much she drinks. > And no more carbonated drinks if she does. Guest guest
that's the mini trampoline thing isn't it? I could push her to get one i guess - it would be physical exercise as a plus point ina ddition to the rest.... - " james knochel " <knochj Wednesday, June 01, 2005 3:06 AM Re: weight loss > On 5/30/05, hunter.cris <hunter.cris wrote: >> >> REFUSES to use EFT even though I have tried to reframe it, change the >> phrase >> etc she can't get that level of acceptance of herself. >> > > I ran into this once, think it was the first person I really made a > difference for. Guest guest
Kelly, it's a long story but I'll make it short, nothing exciting. My weight loss took about 3 years off and on...I was using Sunrider herbal whole foods to help burn fat, increase metabolism...I used it off and on depending on $. I'm a gourmet cook and finally toward the last 6 mos I took the most pounds off. I changed the gourmet cooking style giving up lots of butter and cheese I used to use. I added more vegan and vegetarian meals. We like everything so it was just the fats I limited. At the point I am now I will be 60 soon. I started losing hair and my nails developed ridges. I decided I must make some more changes. I've added raw food cuisine to our meals, kept up walking a mile a day and doing at least 20 minutes of Pilates on the reformer a day. Still looking to lose the last of my weight I have joined the coconut forum, I've started adding coconut...my nails are looking better and my energy has increased, which is a lot to say. I know I couldn't have lost like I have without the help of the Sunrider foods. I had 2 shakes a day that fed every cell and 2 fiber bars a day to flush out the fat. If my body hadn't made the changes it had with my hair I'd still be doing that. If I struggle too long with this last 30# I may go back to the Sunrider herbals. I've noticed if I eat too much fruit that adds the weight back on. I have low blood sugar, so I eat several small meals and because of that I still feel like I'm eating too much. It's still a working project......
