Guest guest
That's really cool. You know, there's this Air Force Colonel, I believe he's a doctor on a base in Florida? He writes a lot of articles about ear acupuncture. Apparently does a lot of it. Anyway, my question for you is how long have you been doing this protocol, how much weight has your patient lost and how often do you treat her? Oh, and what are the points? : ) Thanks. -al. zypona2 wrote: > > Not too long ago someone asked if anyone could recommend a good protocal for > weight loss. Guest guest
Al, thanks for your comments and questions. The specific reference is: " A High-Protein Regimen and Auriculomedicine for the Treatment of Obesity: A Clinical Observation " by Richard C, Niemtzow, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., Colonel, US Air Force. The points he used are: " Appetite Control Point, Shenmen and Point Zero. Tranquilizer Point may be added or substituted for Point Zero or Shenmen. " The key here is that the needles are only retained for 15 minutes. He found that longer needle retention often inhibited the appetite too much, leading to uneven starve-and- eat patterns. The mentioned points are specific for reducing cravings for carbohydrates. I have thus far only used this protocol three times on one patient whom I see weekly. A woman in her 50's who is overweight (15-20 lbs) but not really obese, she has been through many diets and does not wish to pursue another per se. Nor does she want to do a weekly weighing and " feel enslaved to the scale " . She knows from past experience that by eating balanced meals and increasing daily exercise she could " get back into shape. " This time though she could not control the office doughnuts, birthday cakes & pasta by herself. I tried a couple of more traditional needle prescriptions on her but it was only when we started Dr. Niemtzow's 4 points that Y. felt she really got a handle on the sugar and carb cravings. I'm looking forward to using these points more often to study when they're most effective. Peace- Dani

We can give a patient diuretic or purgative herbs to make them lose weight (according to the scale) rather quickly, but they don't really lose any fat with this method. Also, a patient told me once that whenever she takes a drug or any process that acts quickly, it doesn't last, while Chinese medicine takes longer, it also is more permanent. I would suggest: 1. an intestinal cleanse, liver cleanse, and kidney/bladder cleanse 2. Lots of water and healthy teas 3. exercise by starting very lightly and make it fun so you'll stick with it 4. finding out, if nothing else works, if there is a metabolic problem 5. Eating healthier 6. Chickweed tincture in water or chickweed tea Not fun to hear but the best I can offer. As for formulations I really would try the chickweed. Cayenne speeds up the metabolism too. Eating hot spices with food helps burn quicker. So does mustard if youre eating a sandwich or something. Also drink a glass of water BEFORE food to fill you up more...and then eat slow. Eating fast makes you still feel hungry when you dont really need more food. Eat plenty of nutrient rich foods/herbs like alfalfa...if yo have all the nutrients your body wont crave as much food, like junk Erin

The best answer for that is to go to the group homepage and search the files for the info, it's all already there. Or the back messages. The intestinal cleanse rids your body of excess and built up waste. This helps your body be healthier and lets off ...uh, excess bowel blockage from years. The kidney/bladder cleanse can improve the function of those organs...water weight can be a problem for weight appearance. Thats why I listed those. And liver since it controls metabolism and so many other things in the form of digestion, including energy levels, ect -- the better this works the better for the body. Chickweed is an herb I would recommend for weight loss help. I have heard from several people it works great but have not tried it yet myself. Guest guest
Hi Diane. It's not actually my protocol, just one that I observed. Needles are inserted are you wish and taken out as you wish, depends on your beliefs on the mechanisms of acupuncture. Patient's were treated everyday. I do not know how long it takes for results to be seen but other members (Robbie) have used the protocol and found it to be effective in a short space of time. Guest guest
Hi Lane, Sounds like you're doing great on the cleanse! Congrats on being on the last day!!! I agree with you - I had a lot of ideas about what was " right " or " wrong " about food - lots of carbs, no! lots of protein! no!.... - ARGH! And it seemed to change with every new diet book that came out. Doing the cleanse and getting the data on enzymes, and the inhibitors, and feeling how my body reacted to having that good LIVE nutrition changed my mind completely about all the diet information I've ever received! Guest guest
Wanda, I started this when I answered the lady who had inquired about herbs to lose weight by telling her when I started a detox 3 months ago that I've lost 2 pant sizes... I thoroughly believe in all of doc's teachings. I was using a green super food powder to detox, not doc's cleansing program. It was just a fluke as I have been overweight, I've done the parasite cleanse, then decided to try this green stuff. I was not dieting when the weight started to come off. I am still taking it in the hopes I will continue to lose!! I think doc's cleansing program would do it as well! From what I understand, estrogen fights for fat cells and detoxing gets rid of estrogen which is why 40 year olds with hormone changes diet and diet w/o losing weight.. Guest guest
Hi Juju,The following is in the files, as written by Doc:***********The Total Body Cleanse Program Fundamental Instructions for the Basic Program 1st Week: Take Total Nutrition & Intestinal Cleanse #1 per the data sheets. Start the Echinacea (2 dropperful 3 times a day). Start the Total Tonic (2 dropperful 3 times a day) 2nd Week: Continue Total Nutrition & Intestinal Cleanse #1 and add Intestinal Cleanse #2 per the data sheet. Remember to take an additional #1 or more as needed when you start the #2 and drink lots of water! Continue the Echinacea and Total Tonic. Start Castor Oil packs every other day if on the Cancer Program. 3rd Week: Continue the Echinacea and Total Tonic while still taking Total Nutrition and Intestinal Cleanse #1 & #2. Add the Liver/Gallbladder Program per the data sheet. Add the Cayenne (3 to 10 drops) to the tea or to a glass of water. Add the Blood Detox tincture and tea and continue the Castor Oil Packs if on the Cancer Program. At the end of Day 5 of the Liver/Gallbladder flush, do the Liver/Gallbladder BOMB per instructions. Thereafter do the BOMB each evening before you go to bed until there are no more gallstones (little dark green globules from the size of BBs up to the size of a mothball) coming out the following day.. NB. Do not start on the Week 4 program until the BOMB is over and done with. 4th Week: You should drop the Echinacea, Castor Oil packs and the Intestinal Cleanse #1 & #2 at this point, but continue taking the Total Nutrition and the Total Tonic.. Add the Kidney/Bladder Program per the data sheet. Continue the Cayenne drops to the tea or water. 5th Week: Begin all over again at Week #3, if you are on the Incurables Program or if you wish to do a more concentrated Detox and Cleanse program. Please Note WELL: During this entire program there is to be no meat, fish, fowl, or dairy. Eat nothing that had a face on it or came from anything that had a face on it. This is a Vegan Program. This program requires that you exercise daily. Start on what you can physically tolerate and increase daily. Walking for 20 - 40 minutes twice a day is an excellent way to get your exercise. Make sure you sweat. Hydrotherapy is the last requirement in this program. Hot and cold showers do wonders for your circulation and can speed your recovery incredibly fast. Start off taking a hot shower making the temperature as hot as you can stand it. Stay in the "HOT" for 3 minutes and then turn the hot all the way off. Stay in the "COLD" for 1 minute. Do this cycle a minimum of 3 complete times and end with a nice hot shower. Do not underestimate this procedure, it is powerful and miraculous. There are spas in Europe that specialize in curing "terminally ill" cancer patients using only hydrotherapy. If you have a particular area of your body which is ill, buy a shower wand and concentrate more "hot & cold" on that area in addition to the above. Hot and Cold packs will also work very well. If you can do more. Do it ! ! ! Never quit ! ! ! Never take Echinacea for more than three weeks at a time. This is one herb you need a rest from. Definition: A "DROPPERFUL" is one to two squeezes of the rubber top and fills the glass tube about ½ full equaling 35 drops. Guest guest
Hi Wanda, see my other mail to Juju about the TBC program. It isn't meant for weight loss, but most people who do the TBC seem to lose weight if they're overweight while on it from what I hear. I did anyhow. I guess it's a combination of the exercise program, the totally healthy/optimum nutrition without unnecessary fats, the cleansing of the organs etc.etc.. love Lisa - Wanda Hobson herbal remedies Saturday, December 11, 2004 11:28 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - weight loss Can u tell me what this cleansing is about and how itworks with weight loss please.......Wanda--- hotmail <pootlebird wrote:> hi all,> im having trouble getting in to the site so can> someone tell me what I need and what to do for the> cleansing,> ta,> juju> > - > Jasmina Alisic > herbal remedies > Saturday, December 11, 2004 4:09 PM> RE: Herbal Remedies - weight loss> > > With that cleansing I lost 4 dress sizes.> Jasmina> > Kelli Bever <kelli wrote:> > Doc's Total Body Cleanse. > > Kelli > > | > | Susan LaSpada> [theherbplace] > | Friday, December 10, 2004 2:58 PM> | herbal remedies > | Herbal Remedies - weight loss> | > | > | > | > | What kind of body cleanse did you do that> helped you lose weight--2 > | sizes!! Guest guest
I believe it! When I did the colon cleanse part of the cleanse I lost weight right away. The time I did the liver cleanse 8 pounds melted off in 2 days! Talk about toxic, sheesh! I've only done those two parts of the cleanse separately. In January I'll be doing the entire cleanse and I'll let you all know what comes out (just kidding)-- how much I lose. I'll journal it like I did on my last foiled attempt. : ) Candace herbal remedies , Jasmina Alisic <jalisic579@s...> wrote: > Actually from size 12 I am on size 6 now. > Jasmina > > Kelli Bever <kelli@c...> wrote: > > Doc's Total Body Cleanse. > > Kelli > > | > | Susan LaSpada [theherbplace@m...] > | Friday, December 10, 2004 2:58 PM > | herbal remedies > | Herbal Remedies - weight loss > | > | > | > | > | What kind of body cleanse did you do that helped you lose weight- -2 > | sizes!! Guest guest
Chris, With regards to using EFT, are you familiar with Dr. Patricia Carrington's Choices method? The choices method doesn't require self acceptance, just making a better choice for yourself. The self acceptance issue seems rather pervasive, and has been addressed several different ways on the emofree website. If you search there for the choices method, you may find a way to introduce EFT that she can accept. Also on the consistant weightgain and tenderness, my first thought was toxicity. Your body will not release fat if it is using that fat to protect you from some substance. Wether this be an allergic reaction, or an illness. If you are taking in too much of a substance (in any manner) for your body to process, it stores it in fat until it can process it. Please let me know, if there is any other information I can help with. Best regards, John
Guest guest
Chris, Go to http://www.zpointprocess.com/ . There is a link on the home page to click to listen to a short ZPoint session with Grant. I find ZPoint more effective and easier to use than EFT. I do still find myself tapping as I do the ZPoint process with my cue word. It is pretty intuitive and combines well with other modalities. I am listening to some of the Silva Alpha tapes and find myself doing my cue word instinctively. It is great. Mary/
