Have you thought of trying homeopathy any time? Best consult a

homeopath doctor who will take the case study and prescribe. The

common medicines used in homeopathy are Ignatia or Kali Phos.

Hi Lor:

Thank you, yess that was what it was liver damage. Well I am on too many

medications that I cant chance using it. I want to go off the meds that the

doctor has me on but he makes statements to me that I'm like Tom Cruise and that

I'm into Scientology. All I asked him if he believed that massages would help

with my depression and about Vit. B-6. He said he never heard of Vit. B-6, nor

has he heard of oil pulling.

I would love to get off of all my meds but HOW and the withdrawals will be

another thing that I'll have to deal with...

Thanks again,

Sherry

Sherry - I am getting so - ok - " upset " with some Doctors. You didn't

say where you lived - but if you are in the U.S. --- many Drs. are

still of the old school as are most of our insurances. FIND yourself

an Alternative Medicine Doctor who will help you get off all

the " dang " meds that you don't need and into alternative methods

where you won't need to put up with all the crap (and what it does to

your body!) If your Doctor is accusing you of being into scientology

when you are asking him about massage and vit B6 (you need a vit B

complex by the way for anxiety)he is just SHOWING HIS IGNORANCE and

not worth a grain of salt. I understand that in the U.S. Alternative

Medicine can be very expensive --- and not covered by most

insurances ---- this is slowly changing --- but is not going to

completely change when we are unable to make an " informed decision "

and see the type of Doctor we choose so the benefits of alternative

methods are known and just as popular and accepted and DEMANDED as

pharmaceutical medications. For now, honey, chiropractitioners ARE

now usually covered (and can help more than we have been lead to

believe). They can be excellent with anxiety. You didn't say what

other type of meds you are on --- but don't just go off of them ----

COMPLETE STOPPING OR WITHDRAWAL FROM SOME MEDS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS SIDE

EFFECTS INCLUDING DEATH. Our Doctors and Insurances had better soon

realize that alternative medicine is not a " hoax " - but an " option "

or (IS ANYONE LISTENING OUT THERE!!??)PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE FROM

MISINFORMATIION OR TAKING MEDICINE INTO THEIR OWN HANDS. We are all

getting upset with being " over-medicated " when it is not always

necessary and simply benefiting the LARGE DRUG COMPANIES! This is a

good group --- watch, listen and learn as much as you can ---- there

are Doctors in this group too -- and a number of individuals who are

very well informed and should be respected. Also -- before I stop

ranting --- if you don't know --- herbal and prescription meds

sometimes do not interact well just as all prescription meds do not

interact well ------ you need to know what you are doing -- which is

why it would be humanely nice of the GOVERNMENT, DOCTORS AND

PHARMACISTS TO HELP US. Of course that is not going to happen until

everyone sees dollar signs and their jobs are not in jeopardy. Helen

I would suggest take homeopathy pills.

1. Ignatia - 200 potency

2. Kali Phos - 200 potency

Take six pills each twice a day. Keep about one hour gap between the two

pills. Take in a odour free mouth. For best result, put the pills under the

tongue and allow to dissolve there. You will find lots of change within qo days.

Whe you feel better, reduce the dose once a day. Stop after about six months.

All the best.

The best natural means that I know for the nervous

system are B Complex shots. If you have an alternative

doctor he or she should be able to give them to you or

give you a prescription for you to do it yourself. I

am afraid of needles generally, but the needles are

tiny and don't hurt a bit. You take a shot once a

week, and after a while it really makes a noticeable

difference. You won't feel any great jolt or anything

like that, you'll just notice one day that you are

feeling better.

Good luck to you,

Roni

Hi Ariana,

I used to (and sometimes still do) get anxiety attacks. I guess mine

were considered mild, although they really could mess me up! I found

that deep breathing, meditation and yoga REALLY helped me become more

centered and calm. I know with small children it may be difficult to

find the time for any one of those things, but I know it made a huge

difference for me.

I also keep a bottle of Bach's Rescue Remedy with me at all times. The

small spray bottle is great - you can use it anywhere easily. This

seems to help too.

Good luck and be well!

Hi Ariana,

having to work and raising little children

at the same time can be a daunting task!

What is your diet like?

Are you getting enough B vitamins?

How are your adrenal glands?

Depleted adrenals can lead to anxiety attacks.

Just for starters.....

Treating Anxiety with PureCalm

People are not all the same and treatment for anxiety and panic attacks will

vary according to the person and the length and severity of the problem.

Here is a guideline that will help you to decide which treatment will be

best for you!

A) Anxiety - general nervousness, and a tendency to worry a lot. Stressful

lifestyle.

Take PureCalm drops three times a day for three weeks and thereafter

whenever you feel a little anxious. Just a few drops of PureCalm in a little

water will help to soothe and calm anxious minds and induce a state of

relaxation and well-being.

B) Severe Anxiety - Nervousness, Panic Attacks and Phobias. May have

multiple fears and health worries.

Severe anxiety needs some extra help. Take MindSoothe together with

PureCalm. MindSoothe is a unique combination of St John's Wort and

Passiflora in therapeutic dosage.

Regular use results in an increase in self confidence and well-being and a

more relaxed state of mind. MindSoothe also has a positive effect on sleep

patterns, concentration and memory, which are often affected in anxiety

disorders.

How has PureCalm helped others?

" Hi, I am a 36 year old woman that has been suffering with panic disorder

with agoraphobia for over 13 years. Off and on, I have been on Zoloft. This

year Zoloft stop working. The dose got higher and higher and the panic

disorder got stronger and stronger. I was at my wits end as a single working

mother of a teenage daughter. I was losing hours at work leaving due to

panic and unable to shop or go anywhere with my daughter for entertainment,

etc. Even stopping at the local pharmacy for a bottle of detergent or

something quick was nearly impossible to do. I was researching on the

Internet for a cure or other methods of controlling panic disorder when I

came upon this site. I take PureCalm twice a day and MindSoothe (2

capsules), twice a day and have not even had one panic attack or even any

symptoms of a panic attack. I have my life back. I have my freedom back.

This medication is definitely a blessing. I am truly grateful. I take

nothing else for the disorder. Thank you so much!!! " - Christine, PA

" I just came back for my 4th order of this product, yes, it really works. I

have been dealing with very bad anxiety for about 2 years now. For anyone

who has never had an anxiety or panic attack, it is one of the most

frightening things you could ever experience. Usually when I get the attacks

it feels like the room is closing in on me and I can't breathe. The middle

of my stomach/chest also feels like it is going to explode. I seem to get a

lot of them when I am alone in my room at night trying to sleep. I pull the

covers over my head and just wish that I would disappear. I wake up with

anxiety sometimes too. It is hard going through these. Like they say, life

is hard enough without having to deal with things like that. This PureCalm

solution has literally saved my life so many times. It has made me feel

normal and sane again and makes me feel like I can face the day or whatever

comes my way without fear. I really like that this product is natural and

has no side effects. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this product,

it really does work and I advise anybody to try it, you won't be

disappointed. " - Carla, MA

" Thank you for these products. I purchased MindSoothe & PureCalm for my

brother who has been experiencing severe, debilitating, panic attacks for

the past 7 months and he has had complete, immediate, relief! Also, shipping

was quick. THANK YOU! " - Molie, MI

Rollie - why not get at the root of the problem rather than using

medication to cover up the symthoms? Hypnosis? EFT (just put EFT in

search box and click for a wealth of info), Reflexology? Therapy with

someone who believes in not medicating but solving the problem which

is causing the anxiety. Most of the anxiety meds lead to addictive

problems physicaly and psychologically. If you stay on them they will

need to be increased and increased again --- and you end up with

other problems. They may work - (pharmaceuticals - but at what cost)

I have to agree with that. I had suffered from panic attacks only when

driving. To make a very long story short, I experimented with herbs. vitamins,

yoga, meditation, etc. What worked for me was to get rid of the caffenine

(sp?) that really does take a huge toll on the nerves for sure, take my

multi-B's every day, and most important keep my mind occupied when I do feel a

panic

attack coming on. For example, when driving now, if I get nervous about

being in traffic I'll make sure to have a game ready to play in my head; if I

see

a sign I will spell out each letter of the sign, then do it again only

backwards. That does help a lot. If there are no signs, then I keep a sheet

of

long words in my car so I can use them as backup. I know this sounds strange,

but it really did help. The more I kept my brain busy, the less I thought

about my oncoming panic attack. So maybe you can think of various activities

for your brain at the ready for the next panic attack? The multi-B's do help

too, but they took about 2 weeks to work, as I'm sure the body takes a while

to get used to them and have them function properly.

Hope some of this helps you.

Hi Ravensun,

I'm a psychotherapist. I work mostly with alternative therapies

for mental/emotional problems and for physical disease.

For anxiety:

1) Try EFT at http://www.emofree.com/ It's effective and free.

2) Audiotherapy to balance the right and left sides of the brain.

Very effective for severe anxiety and/or depression, fears and

phobias and many other things.

3) Rife frequencies You need a frequency generator for this.

I wrote a paper on using your computer as a 'Rife' F/G and can send it

to you for free.

For more info on 2 or 3, send me a request off line so that I can

copy and paste your email and send it to you.

Namaste,

David

Hi I'm new to the group but here's a suggestion...

cut out sugar of all kind, including fruit, honey, etc. for two-three weeks

and see if the anxiety symptoms disappear.

Sugar (even honey, fruit if you are sensitive) leads to a glycemic spike

and the body goes into overdrive to try to compensate.

I have anxiety as well. I have recently found out that a Hormonal

imbalance causes anxiety and is one of the most common complaints

from women who have a hormonal imbalance. I have just been to a

doctor to have a bio identical hormone implant that should last

anywhere from 4-6 months. I just had it last week, so I don't know

how well it will work, but I have a good feeling about it. I have

talked to others who have had it and it has done wonders for them.

But, you need to find a doctor open to the " bio identical hormones "

vs the synthetic ones.

However, I have also been on Xanax for many years and will have to

wean myself off. What is the postition you learned if you don't mind

me asking? I also can't do it in the store, but sure would like to

know how to do it if I'm at home.... Would you mind sharing, or is

it too difficult to try to explain in a post?

You may email me directly off group if you'd like. If you have a

picture of the postition or a site that would show the postition I

would appreciate that as well.

Health and Blessings

Hi Again Gail,

My mother is a PhD in Hypnotherapy and taught me how

to ground via visualization. You can do it anywhere

you have a couple minutes undisturbed. I do this prior

to going to a session and sometimes just before I

start my sessions with clients.

It will take some time to describe, but if you want to

call me sometime I would be glad to walk you through

it. 801-603-5981 I'm usually up around 10 AM Mountian

time...that's the best time to get me...otherswise I'm

out the door around Noon.

Take Care

Hi Gail,

I don't mind sharing at all.

Sit in a fairly straight position, knees 90 degrees, back straight. Shoes

should be off, but socks can be on. Cross one leg (I like the right because

it feels right to me) so your ankle is resting on your other leg above the

knee (similar to a mans posture while sitting and crossing his legs).

Take your opposite hand and place it on your ankle (the one on your knee).

Then take the other hand (this would be my right) and wrap your fingers

around your toes. Palm to the top of your foot.

When in the posture you should have your arms crossed and your legs also

crossed. Breath and relax. I close my eyes a lot and talk to myself.

(LOL!!!) This posture is used often with high strung mentally challenged

people. Something about crossing the hemispheres of the brain. Good luck

and thank you for replying.

I think mine is hormones too. Happened after my first child hit 3 too.

I am interested in this topic as well. Any information you can give

would be appreciated. Xanax is really hard to wean ones self off of

and my monthy visited has been gone about 3 years now, but I have

consistently gained weight--I am also hypothyroid which affects

hormones as well--my physician doesn't seem alarmed that I'm gaining

weight, but is ready to give me " bandaids " for subsequent damage

such as high sugar, blood pressure, pap smears and colonoscopies.

Frankly I'm tired of bandaids and want the hormone and weight issues

addressed and attacked and cured. Any suggestions?

dear raenstic,

Ignatia and Kali Phos of homeopathy are one of the best remedies for

anxiety. You must get onto these immediately as suggested by Mr

Subramanya. At the same time, your age suggests that you see a

gynecologist and get the hormonal imbalance checked(if any).

wishing you a speedy recovery

Hello Jennifer,

it would have been easier to advise if you had explained what causes this

anxiety to you. I mean, do you feel it all the time or is it when you have to

start a new task or meet unknown people or maybe embark on a journey etc.

Anyway, there are two very good medicines in homeopathy - one is Kali Phos, you

can keep this with you always in 6 X potency and have four tablets whenever you

feel anxiety. This is absolutely harmless.

Second is Argentum Nit. This you can take in 30 or 200 potency. You may take 5

to 6 pills just before starting your work. This one calms down the nervous

system.

Otherwise, regular practice of pranayam can be of great help.

Best

Pari
