Guest guest
It should be either Sunflower or Sesame Oil and it should be cold pressed, and refined, but unrefined should be ok too. For the best info on oil pulling go to the official site: http://www.oilpulling.com Diana Moore http://www.bowentherapy.homestead.com http://www.emotionalfreedom.homestead.com
Guest guest
I can help you with cold pressed. It means that there was no heat applied when pressing or extracting it and so it retains its properties. Guest guest
Use First Cold Pressed Sunflower oil. It has no taste and works great. You don't want to use anything that has been processed. That means it has been burnt and is not good for your body. Guest guest
I get my sesame oil from the oriental markets. I can get it in 1/2 gallon cans for a 3rd of what I would pay for it elsewhere, when I can find it at all. It doesn't say whether its cold pressed or toasted tho. Guest guest
That is the one I have... but I bought a small bottle.... I know that it is toasted, because of the smell... (delicious, but maybe not for oil pulling???) In the meantime I got another sesame oil bottle... it is refined, but expeller pressed... I guess I'll just use this one and see what happens... I'd be so pleased if it works... from what I have been reading, the cold pressed one is like a miracle remedy... I hope that the expeller pressed one will be somewhat ok too... Thanks for your messages. Ingrid --- Jenny Kernan <rainysnana wrote: > I get my sesame oil from the oriental markets. Guest guest
The folks over at the Curezone Oil Pulling forum have lots of experience using a number of oils, including olive. While the protocol seems to call mostly for Sunflower of Sesame, it appears that a number of other oils can also be used. Avoid canola, soy or peanut oils though - highly processed industrialized oils for the most part. I am no authority nor an experienced oil puller, just passing along what I have read on this one. oleander soup , ahzoov wrote: > > > In a message dated 6/6/2007 6:06:30 P.M. Guest guest
Thank you Tony. I am about getting ready to start oil pulling. This is the second time in just a couple of months that this has come to my attention. I am going to start with Olive Oil because that is what I have. I just have to pick a time to put it on my schedule. Otherwise, it's something new and I will surely forget. I'm not sure I'll be able to do 35 minutes all at once. When I started using peroxide to whiten my teeth and keep my gums healthy it took me time to hold it for any length of time. blecch. I'll see how this goes. oleander soup , " Tony " wrote: > > The folks over at the Curezone Oil Pulling forum have lots of > experience using a number of oils, including olive. > > While the protocol seems to call mostly for Sunflower of Sesame, it > appears that a number of other oils can also be used. Guest guest
, I started the oil pulling yesterday. I used olive oil. It wasn't bad. I did it for 20 min. That is what some of the reports I have read, said. Did it first thing when I got up. While doing it, I started the laundry and made my bed. I then rinsed my mouth with salt water. Olive oil is a good oil for me. I kinda follow the Eat 4 your Type diet and olive and flax are the only oils I should have. Good luck I am hoping for good things to come from this.
